Had one of those days where you just craaave pancakes and ended up at this place. They had a variety of pancakes but didnt list chocolate chip pancakes. I asked the server if they had any, and she said, let me check. She came back with a plate of two chocolate circles and syrup forming a smiley face on a plate. The chef said he can crumble these up to make the pancakes, is that okay? And of course it was. Within no time my creative chocolate pancakes arrived with a fun presentation of yet another smiley face. To keep it simple, Chef Luka clearly enjoys his job and the creativity that can come along with it. The food was outstanding. Wildly exceeding my expectations. I also ordered a side of bacon and sausage. And both were exceptional. The sausage was quite possible the finest breakfast sausage I have ever had. My craving was fulfilled and then some. Great atmosphere, friendly creative service, and excellent food. Didnt spend too much either for quality, around $17 including tip.

The upstairs outside seating is really good here, Id suggest it if the weather is nice, its covered so rain shouldnt be an issue however humid days may be uncomfortable. There are 2 bars, and indoor seating as well for those wanting to sit at the bar or dine in. It took about 5 to 10 minutes to be seated, the place was not busy and it was Sunday afternoon around 2pm when we first arrived. After being seated it took another 10 minutes for the waiter to come to our table. There place seemed understaffed for the time, however after ordering our appetizers and entrees the food came out very quickly. (Pizzas and chips and guacamole) The food was really good, very fresh and tasty, plus the quality was great. This was the first time I went to revolution house and Im going to say it most poorly was just bad timing and I would certainly give it another chance.

Had the breakfast concoction at brunch - a potato latke with ham, onion, eggs and cheese. The potato latke was grey with the ham on top and covered with cheese and the worst latke Ive ever had. The eggs were over cooked and brown, and again, were completely covered with cheese. The menu states they are served with baked apples, which came as two thin apple slices atop the egg - not quite what I was expecting. I cant say that I would come here for brunch again, but as we live in the neighborhood, may try their dinner. My Fiancé liked his eggs bandito and I must say they looked far more appetizing than my gray potato pancake and brown eggs. Service was ok, a little slow on coming back for drinks and the check when we had finished.

When looking for lunch in Old City you can never go wrong with pizza. Especially pizza that only takes 6 minutes to make. It was delicious. We ordered an easy lunch on a quiet Friday afternoon. We had just arrived in Philly from Boston and were starved. A friend recommended this area so we drove around. Thankfully we found parking right away and were able to walk around a get a good feel of the hood. We chose Revolution because it looked cute and welcoming. We sat at the bar and had great service from our bartender. We also got to talking with the man making the pizza. The pizza and my soup were both delicious and quickly ready. We really liked the feel and vibe of this place. When in Philadelphia again, we will be back.

Stopped in during a foodie day trip for happy hour and snacks. Only a few beers were on happy hour menu, no cocktails. Boo. Ordered 2 snacks (not on happy hour special, grumble)- the world famous tator tots & the corn and crab cakes. Both were pretty good although most of the tots were smashed, broken and flavorless, the texture was creamy and lite. My waiter was void of personality and looked so bored and unhappy which matched the super rain soaked day. Not such a great value if you ask me $40+ for 2 drinks and 2 snacks. Ive heard good things about the pizza so I may come back and try that and hope for a different waiter.

Went in here on a whim while visiting with my girlfriend one weekend. The food was phenomenal. I ordered an eggplant parm sandwich and have been having dreams of going back to order it again. The bread used for the sandwich was like no other too. Everyone else at our tables food looked amazing as well. The appetizers were artsy, and didnt even sacrifice flavor for design. It was amazing. I ordered some tiramisu to take back to the hotel to eat later, but it smelt so good I ended up devouring the entire thing like a savage, wishing I ordered more. I am definitely going back here the next time we visit Philly.

Visited for weekend brunch. I had the kale and beet salad with chicken. Very good salad and vast menu options. The views from the outside deck are wonderful. The restaurant definitely has character. It was not busy as it was early but we waited a really long time for the food. I just lowered my rating. I visited again and the brunch did not sit well with my system. It may have been the eggs. I selected the baked avocado and while it was tasty, the actual avocado was baked with the market sticker still on it. That felt like careless food handling.

We arrived at 3.30 on Saturday afternoon, and were told the server downstairs was on break, and there was nothing but pizza til 4pm. Fortunately our server-and-bartender upstairs knew we had access to the whole menu. The tater tots were out of this world (best ever - and baked not fried!), the service was excellent, drinks very tasty. Octopus salad was better than expected. The kids really enjoyed their burger, cheesesteak, and desserts (the apple fries were particularly creative!). Nice atmosphere upstairs, too.

Went here with my family when we visited Philadelphia. Theres a lot of party bars down in this area but Revolution house was accommodating for a family with a 4 year old. Fantastic pizza, great fried calamari and great beer Pretty much sums it up for the Revolution house. Also nice deck upstairs that overlooks Market street and The bridge to penns landing.

Great food and beer. Sit up on the roof deck when the weather is nice! Wood fired pizza is good, but they also have great hot sandwiches and salads. This is not your usual pub/pizza fare--dishes usually have something extra rich and delicious. Good for business lunches, groups, happy hour, dinner out. That area is a party scene on weekend nights.

My company had a Christmas party here and while the service was excellent the food was not. I expected more especially at this location right next culinary delights like Continental and Cuba Libre. But...this did not deliver. The staff was friendly and attentive and the drinks were great but the food...just meh.

Went with 4 friends. 3 of them got the tater tots. None of my friends liked the tots. They are made of mashed potatoes or something. Fries were so so...kind of soggy. The burger was decent and reasonably priced. Two friends didnt like the gyro. Beers are overpriced...nothing under $5 (until Happy Hour).

First time went there for fathers day. The wait was 5 min the place looked original, the staff was warm and welcoming and the food to die for. And what made it even better.......great weather we were able to eat outside on their deck and enjoyed the view of penns landing
