After our latest experience at 45th Street Pub, I am appalled. Recent visits would have garnered this pub 4 stars, as the drink specials are outstanding, food is good &the people are usually pleasant, patrons &staff alike. However, the last All You Can Eat Crabs night was insane.. in a bad way. Granted, it usually is busy and overcrowded on this day so we waited at the bar for the rest of our party, ordered drinks - that went well. We were seated for a while when finally the waitress greeted us, terirbly frazzled, complaining about the busy establishment &slow kitchen. We were empathetic at first, but it became clear she was as much the cause of the problem. Our order was incomplete, appetizers came out after the meal, we never received crab crackers or butter, the shell bucket continually overflowed, drinks were not refilled &the waitress was not attentive to our table. Other waitresses noticed our needs were not being met and attempted to take care of us. **Thats why I still gave our experience 2 stars** Another table nearby actually encouraged us to complain to mgmt. Once Brenda, the mgr, arrived, she stated it was the waitress 2nd week &it was busy, but she would accomodate us. We told her that at this juncture (after being seated for over an hour) we were fine, but wanted to make her aware of the poor service. She insisted that we get what we originally ordered, served us, then when the bill came, they charged us for the items we received in an untimely manner (ex. butter for crabs we no longer were eating!) that we had clearly stated we no longer wanted. Mind boggling.. The alleged owner then came to our table from the kitchen in an apron. He was extremely intimidating &attitudinal out the gate, stating the waitress had only been there 2 days (not 2 weeks?) &what do we want him to do about it. Wow. B4 we could re-explain the issues, he interrupted, accusing the table of wanting "free stuff." WHAT? NO, just the good service for which we are paying, sir, thanks. It was clear no one wanted to hear our grievances so we paid the bill w/o further issue, including the $20 gratuity/service charge, &left, The treatment we received at this establishment was unusual and unfair, we will not be returning. EVER. Too many options in the area to go back to 45th St Pub and be mistreated!

My husband and I visited the 45th Street Pub on June 3, 2015 and had the worst experience. Among the items that we order, the 45th Street fries were undercooked for starters. The second problem was that I pulled a drink up online (Planter’s Punch) and asked if the (male) bartender could make it, for which he asked the waitress to see my phone so that he could see how it was made. He then replied that he could make it. We were sitting in the table directly across from the bar so my line of view was very good. The first thing that I noticed was that he put ice in a tall glass and began to pour the ingredients inside then put a straw in it and handed it to the waitress. When she came over with the drink I sipped it and told her that it was not good nor was it made correctly. She suggested that she could bring me two cups so that I can mix the drink myself. I adamantly declined. I told her that the drink should have been shaken and served in a highball glass then topped with a orange slice and cherry as the recipe calls for and that I did not want it and to please remove it from my bill. She went back with the drink and spoke with the bartender then came back over to my table with the drink stating that he said that he could not take the drink back. I reiterated my displeasure and that I would not be paying for the drink and that I would like to speak to the manager. She went back over to the bartender with the drink and this time when she came back to my table she stated that the bartender said that he would take the drink back and remove it from my bill but that he would not be serving me anymore drinks with alcohol because he doesn’t want me not to like it. I was appalled and considering I have been a customer of this establishment for over 20 years I expected the bartender to be more professional and offer an apology for destroying what would have otherwise been a delicious drink if made correctly. I settled my bill for $37.34 vowing never to return. I will be notifying my family and friends of this outrageous incident and poor treatment so that they think better of patronizing an establishment that treats its customers in such a despicable manner.

It is 9:41pm and I just left the 45th Street Pub in Pennsauken. I use to be a regular in there when I first moved to Pennsauken. Tonight was my second night there in two days. Last ight was a Bartender I know as John who use to work at Connie Macs. Well upon entering lat night I notice patron eating Peanuts, and I knew they were free. I ask John for some peanuts but I never recieved them. John and I go back a few years from Connie Mac, So I believe he forgot, as I was ordering 25 Shrmp at a time to eat. Today I enter the 45th Street Pub and I speak to the owner. His name is Jerry and he was the first person I met ever since i stepped foot into the 45th Pub. I walk in an the location I sat at the bar was littered with Peanut shell from who ever sat there before me. I also entered with a bag of patatoe chips that I had in my hand while coming there. As I am sitting there a female Bar Maid approaches me and ask if I wanted anything, and I say yes, and tell her. The bar Tenders name is Ashey and I know her as Jerrys daughter. She immediately tells me that I can not eat the patotoe chips that I had when I enter the bar, ask me if the peanuts in front of me was mines then moves the peanuts away from me .I scoot over a seat because Ashley clean the are where I was not sitting. Since the area where I was sitting was not cleaned, and the area where I was not ditting was cleaned I decided to sit where is was cleaned. Well Ashley grabs the peanut and moves them over away from me again. Eventuatually Ashe moves the peanut off of the bar. A ittle while Later two caucasian patron comes in a Male and female. The maid Asley immediately pick up the peanuts form under the bar and placed them right in front of the Caucasian patron wh has just arrived. Then I look around the bar and notice onl caucausain customer having a bucket of free peanits in forn to f them. I am African Ashley is the owners daughter. I wonder if she has a problem with African people, by removing the peanuts away from me and serving to the caucasian costomer immediately. I did take pictures. This has to be addressed, because I was toldby another Afrcan patron that Ashley has a problem with minorities

Love this place. Great food and great service. Its a pub bar and Restuarant. The food is better than what you would expect from a pub. The wings are my favorite. But there is a lot to choose from. They always have some type of food or drink special. Nice selection of wines. Good selection of beers. They always have chilled glasses. Lunch specials are pretty good. You get soup and sandwich for under $10. All you can eat crab legs best deal in south jersey on Thursday night. Nice quality crab legs. They have rules like no sharing and no splitting checks when you order crab legs. Surprisingly service for this night is good with steady flow of crab legs. Always busy in this night so get there early or expect a little wait. The have touch tunes juke box and crowd is pretty diverse. Mature bar crowd on most nights. Seems like a safe environment. Plenty of sports TCS around circular bar. Bar is cool because you have a good view from every seat. They have high tops and booths. Nice atmosphere of wood trim with soft warm lights. Clean bar counters and bathrooms. Bartenders friendly and good at making drinks. They have wifi but I can never get on. Plenty of free parking. They dont take reservations, good place for groups. Ive never had a bad experience here. Its 3 miles from my home and worth the trip. I pass quite a few bars on the way. Always feel better leaving than when I arrived. Highly recommend for a drink and food without the need to get dressed up. Always a good time!
