A good friend gave me a Groupon as a gift to go treat myself to Kais Japanese sushi, however it didnt go as planned. I finally get a day where I get off from work early and decided today is the day I will finally go treat myself to sushi and I was denied. I am very disappointed with this establishment. The Groupon was $15 value dinner for two. So because I was alone I was told by the waiter I cant use my Groupon. But I bet you had I just ordered my food and then present the Groupon later during payment, they would have had no choice. Then to top it off, you make me feel bad because I came to eat alone...so what?!?! I have used Groupons with other establishments such as this one and never was I denied to use a Groupon because I was alone. And trust and believe I can eat for 2 ppl at a sushi place. I freaking LOVE sushi BUT not this place and its highly disappointing for my first visit!

Fantastic and well priced sushi dishes. Presentation was also very nice. The atmosphere was clean and modern. I also got an appetizer of wings, which left much to be desired, which explains the 4 stars. Overall its a wonderful place and will be returning there soon.

This is a great spot for a quick, delicious lunch. I cannot speak for their special/Americanized rolls, but they have an excellent lunch special if you like the basics. Service is fast and attentive. Kai is exactly what I would expect from a sushi bar of this size.

Lunch special was extremely reasonable..10.50 a roll and 4 pieces of chefs choice sushi with soup or salad. The service was super fast, the sushi was perfect. This place is right across the street from Jefferson Hosp and Rothman Orthopedics. Very good experience.

It has been more than a half year since I was there, but the owner welcomed me warmly. The service and the taste of the sushi remains the same which you cannot expect many other places. Good place for oSushi.

It is in the downtown area and it is on a small street in the middle of the street. It is a clean business and the staff is friendly. And the food ready when they say they will be ready. But the street is dangerous.
