Consistently the best! My wife and I have had sushi and sashimi from many places around the world including Japan and South Korea and Fujiyama is consistently one of the best. Let us start with the owner. He is personable, approachable, and available every time we have dined here. He cares for each of his customers and builds relationships with those that dine frequently. Next, the atmosphere; the attention to detail is apparent. Fujiyama is always busy, but they continue to investment money into the restaurant on improvements from the seating and tables to the uniforms of the staff. One section upstairs was just updated with custom booths, tables and chairs. They could have easily just left it the way it was, as they were still pulling a lot of customers into the place to the point there is always people waiting for tables. Another recent upgrade is the outside area near the downstairs entrance to the Hibachi restaurant. There is a beautiful outside waiting area with benches and gorgeous landscaping. Food! oh the food! The Hibachi part is your typical hibachi style restaurant with great food and service, but I will concentrate on the upstairs restaurant. The menu is made up of mostly Japanese dishes with some Korean selections. Cant say I have tried all the items, but I have tried dozens. There is not one dish I ordered that didnt taste great with fresh and authentic ingredients. I have been lucky to eat some fabulous Japanese and Korea dishes in Japan, Korea and other parts of the world and can clearly state Fujiyama measures up with the best. Sushi and Sashimi is always fresh and portions are usually generous. As for the rolls, there are plenty of options and you will find many that will fancy your taste buds. Some are very creative combinations. For me, there is nothing better than ordering a new roll and allowing the first taste to be slow, enjoying the various textures of the ingredients and various stages of taste as the ingredients combine together in your mouth. Some of my favorites include; Angry Dragon, 4 Seasons, Playboy, Hot Pepper Lorenzer, Hurricane, Mansfield, and Dynamite. My wife and I consider ourselves very lucky to live so close to this restaurant. OVERALL: it is a wonderful dinning experience. Normally, I dont write reviews and why promote a restaurant I love, which might make it even more busy? But, after dining here for 5 years, I can safely say it is hands down the best restaurant my wife and I have been to.

Ive been to a lot of restaurants but this one takes the gold. First off, the restaurant is split into two, the normal restaurant upstairs, and the hibachi downstairs. Having the choice between the downstairs family style hibachi, or the upstairs classy sushi bar, gives this restaurant a versitality that I havent seen in other restaurants. And you can order from the sushi bar while youre at hibachi, or the other way around which means the ambiance is up to you. Waiting staff is mostly foreign but it honestly does not detract from the service. All my orders have come quickly and accurately and the staff does its best to make me feel entertained and fed. Speaking of, the food is electrifying. Along with the regular common rolls, the menu is packed with special designer rolls with so many combinations that it makes my head spin looking at the menu. Yet, each roll is unique in its own flavorful way. Not to mention its sushi, so I dont get that nasty oily feeling afterwards. Or if sushi isnt your thing, they offer chicken, steak, filet mignon, shrimp, soups, teriyaki etc etc so there are lots of options. And let it be known that Im not much of a seafood eater, but this Fujiyamas sushi is something else. Finally, the owners Nick and Helen. Nick is one of the goofiest men I have ever met, but hes always so kind to his guests. Not to mention his signature birthday gong special. And Helen is always running around, supporting all her workers. Ive also worked at restaurants as a server and I got to say that if I had a manager like that, my serving jobs would have been a breeze. All in all, this is an amazing restaurant. To those that havent eaten here yet, just know that youre are missing out!

Used to be the best sushi restaurant around. Now I believe profit margin is more important than service and quality. Walked in last night with my daughter, we were seated right away and then watched two servers and the "owner" try to accommodate all those tables and the sushi bar. The three walked by us (in the corner) three to four times a piece. The table never even got set! We walked out after 20 minutes and went downstairs to the hibachi. Again, we were seated right away, with another couple. We were serviced right away, placed orders, got my daughters soda and waited almost 30 minutes. I ordered sushi for dinner and it came to our seat BEFORE OUR COOK SHOWED UP. I had to go to the other owner (wife) and complain that we still didnt have a cook. One came right out. A third couple came later and their order was reversed and had to switch plates. All told, we sat down originally at 8pm, finally had dinner at 9:15pm.White tuna was definitely recently frozen, tuna and salmon were both fatty. On the bright side, my daughter’s hibachi (shrimp and chicken) was very good. Was always one of my favorite places, not on this night! Profit margins def ahead of people.

Always Awesome. This is my familys favorite restaurant. We try to get there at least two or three times a month. The sushi is outrageously fresh and tasty. It surpasses any other Japanese restaurant experience. The restaurant is always clean, the services is stupendous (on a Friday or Saturday night we find you need to be patient because of the crowds :) and the owners are delightful and friendly. They always put a smile on our childrens faces, whether its with a special item they bring to the table or a sweet comment or a candy on the way out! We have lived in this area for over 35 years and there is no better place to get sushi.
