If we could give 0 stars we would. We organized a group dinner here. Arrived only to find no tables set up. It was as if the reservation we made never existed. They were just generally disorganized. The place is also woefully understaffed. The servers are nice but it takes forever for food to arrive. And heres the kicker-after all the delays and disorganization our party had to deal with, management had the nerve to kick people out from tables because they werent "spending money," despite the fact we had a huge group of people patronizing & ordering food that damn near never came. Management is rude & unprofessional-no wonder theyre understaffed!

To average American who never have real Ethiopia food, this would be great. The price I paid for is NOT worth it the dish. It seems like they put one scoop meat and use injera for the rest of the filling to make it look like a lot. Mean while I used injera to eat with it. This is the better way to say, a couple pieces of meat on top of a loaf of bread soaks in sauce, then use bread to eat the soak bread. To make things worse, the seasoning is for inexperience customers. I gave two stars because the waiter did a good job. First time for New Years Day and last time.

Horrible service! We waited for 20 minutes to get served before we left. There were only 3 other tables of people. The people who came after us got their order taken and when I saw another table of five people get their order taken I left with my boyfriend. There were only two people working and they had to make drinks for people at the bar also. I am four months pregnant and I was hungry. I cant even imagine how long it would have taken to get the food. There was only one cook in the kitchen. Will never go here again.

Have been here a few times. Went in for a double whiskey. When I finished my whiskey I asked for a glass of wine. The server acknowledged my request and then proceeded to ask 4 other patrons if they wanted a refill. When they said yes he got each of them one. I then asked him for the check and he acted as though he was surprised I no longer wanted the wine. I get Im too square for their hip scene but I expect some semblance of professionalism at a place that charges 8 bucks for a shot of bottom shelf whiskey.

My experience was HORRIBLE and I will never consider eating from them again. The owner asked about my private life and who I was sleeping around with. When I did not answer his questions the way he wanted me to, he became aggressive and insulted me in a way where I felt unwelcomed. He humiliated me in front of other customers and even they saw the mistreatment I faced. I will never spend a dollar in that unkept space he calls a restaurant. The food was dry and horrible also. No taste at all! For the owner, NO CLASS!

This place is a DISGRACE to Ethiopian food. I would not recommend anyone to eat here because first off, the service was terrible, the food sucked and the owner was such a perv to me and my friends. We felt so uncomfortable there and he kept making inappropriate comments to us. The injera was stiff, the sauces were very bland and on top of that we had dirty cutlery and glasses. I think a health inspection is due!

If your looking to have a good time, Gojjo is the place to be! They have a large variety of drinks at real good prices. The food is delicious and definitetly deserves a try... The people are great and they have an outside deck which is open in the summer! I must insist it is absolutely beautiful... Check it out for yourself...

I was so disturb by the disrespect and how unprofessional the owner of this establishment conduct himself towards a paying customer. Its not like this is the best Ethiopian spot in Philly and the meat is sometimes not even fully cook, the food has no taste and customer service sucks... People save your money and time !!!

Overpriced. $2.50 for a side of injera bread? Veggie roti cost more than the beef roti? Our waitress wasnt terribly attentive either. There is much better and affordable Ethiopian food in West Philly. The food was decent, but I didnt feel like I got my moneys worth. Dalak, Abyssinia, Kaffa Crossing are all better options.

This is a great place to grab a drink and meet great people. Be weary of the food, delicious, but definitely over priced. Who are they fooling with these skimpy meat and veggie portions and a HUGE bed of rice ! Theres other options ! Sorry

Great Ethiopian food, well-executed injeera and lots of options from vegan to seasoned raw meat. Dont overlook the Asa Dulet for a change of pace. For an ethnic twist on a local favorite, order an Ethiopian Cheesesteak to go.

A friend of mine was horribly treated in this place and faced sexist, demeaning remarks by its owner. Despite this she kept her calm but I cannot recommend patronizing a place which treats its customers so terribly.

Not what it used to be. Seasonings have changed and the food doesnt taste the same. Ambience is cool for an impromptu dinner, but this place isnt at the top of my list anymore due to price and quality of food.

The food is fine, and wait staff is friendly. Pitchers are cheap. However, I had one terrible interaction with the owner.
