My family and I just moved into the area. Not knowing the area very well we decided to give the Harrison House a shot. It was very clean and the staff greeted us and we sat very quickly. I was nervous with my young children how they would behave becuase sometimes they get a little rowdy. The server saw my children and before she took our order she gave them some crayons and they were happy. My wife and I each ordered daily specials. I had Chicken Pot Pie and she had Broiled Stuffed Flounder. The kids each had kids meals, Chicken Fingers and Linguini w Meatballs. Our food came with soup and salad and the children had small milks. They gave us soo much food it was incredible. We could not finish all of our food but the server quickly noticed and offered to go boxes. We wrapped up our food. It was enough food for dinner the next day!!! The dessert we were told was homemade. My wife and I are both rice pudding fans and theirs was unbelieveable. The best I have ever had. The kids had ice cream and they were both so happy. Our bill was very reasonable. We ate 4 full dinners with left overs and the bill was not even $40. We were offered by the manager take out menus since we told him that we were new in the area. It is so nice to know such nice people that actually care when you do not know anyone. They made us feel so welcoming, my wife and I both were amazed by the food and everyone that we cannot wait to go back.

I went to the Harrison House in Mullica Hill on 04/13/2013. I asked the waitress about a few dishes and if they were good. She said she didnt know and they dont try the dishes there. I should have left then and there. Any and all good restaurants have the wait staff sample all dishes. I ordered the Chicken Marsala, it included salad and green beans. The salad had bits and pieces of rotten, green, slimy lettuce in it. I did not eat the salad. The Chicken Marsala came out in a bowl and resembled soup more than Marsala. The chicken was dry and rubbery and cut into strips, the Marsala tasted like a cheap gravy and I can guarantee there was not a drop of wine in the sauce. The green beans were mushy and flavorless. I barely touched the plate and let the waitress know it was terrible. She told me I had to go up front and talk to the guy at the cash register. She did not offer us a new dish or if we wanted anything else. This was shocking because we left the ENTIRE plate. The guy at the register asked why we didnt like it, snatched the Credit Card out of my mothers hand (who is a senior) and just swiped it!!!! I could not believe it!! I almost felt as if we were literally robbed. He just took it , swiped it and didnt say a word!!! We paid that place $40 to THROW AWAY plates of food. Never gain and BUYER, BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! .

Second time here. Staff is very pleasant. Some highs and lows here. Hubby ordered the 16 ounce steak cooked medium expecting a thick, juicy, pink delivered. He received a long, thin, flank-looking steak cooked well done. Bummer. We actually went for the fries, I had gone here a couple of years ago and just ordered fries. They came out piping hot, perfectly seasoned and delish. Sadly, this visit, both of our fries came out cold and bland. So hubbys dinner was a bust. Mine.. Serious amounts of seafood. The stuffing in the clam and the flounder was very good. Shrimp & Flounder very good. The lobster was a tad rubbery but still tasty, especially with a bit of the crab stuffing. The other piece of fish was bad. Bad Tasting. Talking with my neighbor, she said the Harrison house used to be delicious and worth the drive. But, no longer. I still have much hope for this place and will be updating. Next visit Im trying the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and Ill try mashed taters instead of the fries. Anyone know where I can get some delicious fries?

Menu was scant - especially for a diner, food was bland and mediocre at best. The biggest disappointment was the grilled cheese sandwich for my young daughter. The cheese slices across one half of the sandwich werent even melted! These werent lined up with the sandwich cut, so there were visible slices that could be pulled out of each and rearranged - which was good, I suppose, as the cheese was placed unevenly so I was able to peel the sandwich open and move the unmelted cheese to supplement the scarcely-covered side that was melted. I can only assume the bread and/or cheese was at least partly frozen when the sandwich was assembled and put on the grill, so the outside turned golden before the center became hot.

Went for breakfast with the parents. I had the eggs and corn beef hash. The corn beef hash was absolutely disgusting and inedible. Told the waitress she didnt care. Eggs were undercooked and the waitress took forever to assist us. So basically I paid $7 for two eggs and potatoes. Prices are high in our opinion and we do breakfast out twice a month. A cup of tea or coffee cost $2!! Literally hot water and a tea ball! Dad order the banana oatmeal pancakes and they were good. Mom had waffle and ice cream. Waffle was flat and chewy. Definitely do not recommend and will not be returning.

The only thing good about this place was our waitress... Ordered chicken marsala for myself and it had so much oil in it was a look of it at the bottom of the bowl... Then my son ordered the chicken fingers and the breading literally fell of what appeared to be some type of ground up chicken you would see at McDonalds... The manager asked how our meal was I said was ok in a not fine tone, and he took my card swiped it said it was declined... Called my bank after and turns out they didnt swipe the card right... If you want cafeteria food then this is your place ...

Its been years since we had been there. The last experience was not a great one but this last experience made up for it. Friendly Gentleman greeted and seated us. Our server was great. I ordered off the menu asking for a Waffle with Creamed Chipped Beef... it wasnt a problem.. it was Delicious. Complements to the chef... and Love a place that asks how everything was when you leave. to me that shows they have confidence in their product/experience. Looking forward to going again soon.

On 10/24/15 after enjoying an evening out at a local attraction, my girlfriend and I decided to go to Harrison House. We got there at 10:10pm hungry and looking forward to some munchies. We look in, see other people seated and eating their food. We walk up to the steps of diner only to hear a "click". I check door in disbelief of staff locking doors with potentional customers walking in. And yes, the doors were locked. I will never spend another dollar there ever again.

I dont care what accolades are these other people have said about this diner but it is one of the worst diners Ive ever been in. The meatloaf was disgusting, overcooked like shoe leather. The chicken parm sauce was out of a can. The chicken was thin and tasteless. The waitress was nice but the insides of the restaurant need to be totally redone it was very dirty. We will not go back ever.
