Searched google for breakfast spot near Hospital since we had some hours to kill. This was the closest. We received a friendly greeting from the cashier when we walked in. Wasnt sure if we should wait for a hostess or proceed to a table. Cashier must have realized this and told us we could pick a table. Waitress, Scarlett, approached with a super warm greeting and took our order. Food was delicious. Btw the two of us we had a spinach and feta omelet, eggs over, home fries (she asked if we wanted onions peppers or cheese on them and I love that because sometimes I dont remember until after the order is already in) and sausage links and coffee. Everything was cooked perfectly. The cooks even gave us a friendly greeting. Prices reflect downtown location but are within reason. Love this place. Hope to come again soon.

If you have a problem with loud, energetic groups of people, are the kind of person that likes everything to be "just so" or looks down on places that even look like it might be a dive, why did you bother giving this place a rating at all? This clearly isnt the place for you. If you are not crazy picky about the decor and enjoy the energetic atmosphere of a small, local eatery youre going to love this place. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars is because the bathroom is located down a flight of steep steps. The food was fantastic and our waitress, Melanie, was so incredibly sweet I thought she had stepped out of a cartoon. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, but she definitely made my experience even better. I recommend the cheesesteak omlett and homefries with the works. YUM!!!

The greeter (Manager?) at the door had a big smile and told us to sit where ever we liked. We had some time with the menu before the waitress arrived and with a frown, no eye contact and a sigh she barely took our orders before leaving. This was to be the mood she projected throughout the meal. I ordered eggs Benedict and it arrived with about a lit;re and a half of hollandaise sauce on it, making it near inedible. The Canadian bacon was tough, the eggs were too tough to find in the sauce to judge and the crumpets were soggy. My friends orders bacon and egg sandwich on a kaiser roll, and grits with a bagel and cream cheese. They seemed satisfied with their food so apparently only I was unlucky here. We all agreed that the wait staff were incredibly rude, and we wont be back.

Since theyre the closest place to my building that delivers breakfast, my coworkers and I would order from them. Literally, 95% of the time, there was something wrong with our orders. I stopped ordering from them for months and just decided today that maybe they got their act together. NOPE! The bacon was chewy and disgusting and my french toast was more like french SPONGE. Aaaaand now my stomach hurts. Foods on First should open their doors no earlier than 11 and ONLY SERVE LUNCH. They are BREAKFAST FAILURES!!!

We were staying at the Le Meridien Hotel and wanted to eat scrapple. It was a surprise finding that right next door at this cafe serves the best breakfast sausages and scrapple. The owner, manager, staff and even the chef were super friendly and attentive. They love to chat too. We went there twice and the place lives up to their excellent customer services. They certainly made you feel welcome and ensure that you will leave with a big smile, full belly and warmth heart. Cheap too. Highly recommend.

Ordered french toast with turkey bacon and it wasnt that good... My orange juice was out dated and had curdled, I shook it up thinking it had settled but no it was bad!! I called for a replacement juice and the delivery guy was very rude and has been that way. People in my job has had previous problems with him.. Hes killing business for foods on first! Havent you heard of keeping customers happy... today will be the last time I ever patronize this business! Good luck to yall...

They charge extra for everything and they dont tell you until you see the bill. I ordered an omelette with toast and the server told me that I could have it with home fries since it came with the omellete, even Philly style. To my surprise they charged me extra because they were "Philly style". Adding to that, the food is not good and the prices reflect otherwise. Will never come here again.

There food is good and service is ok but today the delivery guy brings my food and I signs the slip he says NO TIP then I say sorry funds are tight he gives me this look just because I work in a high rise building doesnt make me look like I have $$$$$ like that. Now see with a mouth like that Ill make sure you dont have business here no more and at the other buildings I am attached 2. Smh..

They charge extra for EVERYTHING. Fifty cents for a slice of raw onion added to a sandwich. Chocolate chips added to your pancakes? That will be a $2 surcharge! And they dont tell you these things are so much extra until you get your bill and feel like you might pass out. Ridiculous for a diner - center city or not.

I USE TO LOVE THIS PLACE, BEEN ORDERING HERE FOR YEARS WHILE AT WORK, BUT THE NEW COUNTER GIRL IS HORRIBLE!!!, I DONT REMEMBER HER NAME BUT SHE IS LIGHT SKINNED WITH GLASSES, HER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS ARE SUB PAR AND SHE DOESNT KNOW WHAT TO SAY OUT HER MOUTH, I LOVE EVERYBODY ELSE IN THERE BUT SHE HAS TO GO !!

The management is very rude, they made comments about black people that we are poor and needy also the cooks are rude and dont wash there hands... And Ive seen a mouse run around by the grill.. Some of there food is over priced and and lack of professionalism. Will not recommend to anyone ..

The food wasnt that great and the customer service was horrible. The cashier told me to go back to my city and meet her after her shift. After only asking to separate the ticket. We could have complained about the food but we didnt. I would never go back nor recommend them to anyone.

Food is always great, I just wish they had an option to order buffalo wings, without fries. Price is slightly higher, but its Center city, and rent is high so I kinda understand. But staff is great, food is great, everything pleasant.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The owner is disrespectful and takes everything as a joke. Theyre prices are not reasonable and charge extra for everything. The workers at the counter were rude.

Horrible they tried to charge me for condiments. My hasbrowns were undercooked. Staff made me feel uncomfortable. Will never come here again. Everything is overpriced as well go to the diner down the street.

Didnt really like it. Coffee was tasteless, oatmeal full of sugar and made with milk, - not traditional plain oatmeal I was expecting to have. Wouldnt recommend this place.
