Very friendly staff. Greated promptly and sat outside immediately at 10:00 on the last Sunday in April. Food was solid diner calibre but with a few Southern additions to the menu, like grits and biscuits and gravy. You get a carafe of coffee too if you order coffees. Ahain, friendly nut never pushy/smothering. I never had to hunt the waitress down and the chexk was perfectly timed; which is awesome when you are dining with a toddler. $40 for 4 people including standard tip. The only reason I deducted a star was for the bathroom being a bit disorderly only half waythrough service.

We live in the neighborhood surrounding this diner and its our go-to spot for family brunch. A lot of restaurants came and went at this address before the owners of Village Diner moved in and gave Glenside what it wants: a classic diner menu and friendly service at reasonable prices. Now theyve been here over 10 years and have become a fixture with the locals. If youre looking for something fancy or trendy to impress yourself or others, dont come here. This just a comfortable spot for us ordinary folks to get a good hot meal prepared and served by our friends and neighbors.

The service was not friendly and Miserable. She always looked put out when we asked her questions. Our food was tasteless. The sausage gravy and biscuits tasted funny, but I wasnt laughing. We had to chase the waitress around to pay. She walked passed me and ignored me. One of the other staff had to help at the register. We will never be coming back.

Went for breakfast. The food and service were excellent. The chipped beef was just the right consistency. I especially appreciated the carafe of coffee left at the table. The home fries were a very pleasant surprise and plenty for 2 to share. The ambience was not inviting. The place needs to be "cheered up" a little. New carpeting would help a lot.

The food is decent but the service is just short of miserable!!!! We got our order taken and the next time the waitress came back was to take our plates. Then when we asked for a refill she looked at us like we are the only people who ever drink more than one cup of oj! I would understand if the place was busy but we were 1 or 3 tables.

Breakfast for two seemed to be too hard for them to manage. Mine sat under the heat lamp for 20mins whilst my wifes was forgotten about. Consequently, my eggs were dry, crispy and horrible. Even my wifes meal, which was fresh, was not great. Id give it one star, but the staff were very nice so they get two...

This is seriously the best diner I have ever been to. It is so clean and the servers are soooo nice its amazing! The food is always good and exactly the way I asked for it (and I am picky). The prices being exactly where they should be is a big plus too. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! :)
