We were a party of three, arriving early afternoon. There was a short wait to be seated, which is fine and expected on a Sunday. Once we took our seats at a table in this cozy, homey place, the experience suffered. It took over 5 minutes for our waiter to arrive and take our drink order. He returned quickly and delivered the beverages, then took our order. I ordered chicken corn soup and a patty melt; the other party members ordered prime rib (comes with two sides) and an omelet (breakfast served all day.) The soup arrived quickly, along with rolls for the table. I have a quibble with the chicken corn soup: it was obviously made with canned or frozen corn. In Lancaster County in high corn season? Really? At least the soup was hot and promptly served, unlike the rest of the meal. It took about 17 minutes for the rest of the food to arrive and most of it was cold. My patty melt was warm, but the entire bottom of it was completely soaked in grease. The prime rib was warm, but both sides, mashed potatoes and apple fritters, were cold. The omelet was cold, so the cheese was sort of a congealed blob. I believe this restaurant has a slight problem delivering the food promptly. Will not return.

Lovely experience every time. Went there tonight for Valentines dinner and everything was great from the prime rib to seafood to dessert to service. Always a great experience. September 2017 Update: Been back several times in the past 3 months, including my wifes birthday. Still great, as always...and by the way, those biscuits are the BEST! Order biscuits instead of toast with your breakfast and get some extras to bring home. Best way to reheat them is stovetop in a pan with a little bit of butter. Not quite as good as fresh, but close:)

GREAT FOOD! However when I pick up a take out order for myself I think its unprofessional to ask for a TIP! I have no problem leaving a tip when being severed in your restaurant but It makes customers feel very uncomfortable when asked for additional money for no service rendered. If a customer wants to leave a tip Im sure they can figure out how to do so with out being asked. My "TIP" to you is to never ask your customers for money that is not owed, if customers receive great service customer will generally leave a tip for the service.

Update: we keep coming back, and have not yet been disappointed. Great coffee, breakfast all day, a large selection of eggs benedicts, it just keeps being great. Old review: Been here twice, loved it both times. They serve breakfast all day, which is a huge plus for me. I had the greek omelette, and it was absolutely delcious. It came with potatoes, which were also amazing. Sister had the baked potato with chili on top, and she loved it. I had a bite, and even though im not a huuuge fan of chili, it was still very very good.

I was doubled charged several days after my initial charge cleared on my bank statement from my bank card. I called the restaurant the day after (Monday) when I noticed a pending on my bank statement for another charge for same amount from my recent visit. I got no satisfaction from the manager or owners of the restaurant. I was told it would be taken of, but was not. The second charge went through my account. THEY WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER PENNY FROM ME....!! Very rude and unprofessional management and owners...!!

I would suggest that the serving staff be educated on not asking you if you want dessert prior to "everyone" at the table being finished with their meal let alone give you the bill before "everyone" is finished. It makes the person(s) who are not finished feel rushed. Who knows if someone might change their mind. This is just bad dinner etiquette and borders on being rude! I look forward to returning in the future to see if this issue has been addressed.

My husband and I have just been in the area recently and have ate twice at the Brickerville House. Both times the service was very good and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The food was exceptionally good both times! This last time our waitress was Kelly B. and she was very sweet and friendly. We also walked around and enjoyed the little shops around the property. =)

I think there was only one waitress for the entire room we were in. However, she was attentive, really cared and was genuine. Prices are outrageous. I guess a historical tourist trap can have high prices. Food was iffy but they try. The hostesses were rude and need to work on their professionalism. Not worth spending our hard earned money here.

Ate lunch here today. Our waitress was very attentive. Never let my glass go dry. Lots of choices on the menu. Got the taco salad. Could have had a little more chili, but the greens were great, not the packaged iceberg youd get other places. Portion sizes are large. Very charming, afterward we strolled the shops, nice but pricey.

Worst place I have been . Ordered a meatball parm sandwich . Received 1 meatball cut in half with 3 slices of cheese on a petite old roll and some chips , felt like I was eating a slob of melted cheese yack. Should be ashamed for what they charged for that lousy sandwich its a disgrace . Never stop again .

Something for everybody to try definitely recommend going in the morning for there breakfast which is phenomenal! You get a log cabin rustic feel in the building. Behind the building are little shops ranging from art to wine to a local grocery store with everything made in Lancaster or other countries.

Great meals at an affordable price. Love this place. I would rather pay $40 here for a home cooked meal by an experienced chef plus desert in a relaxed atmosphere with great service than $40 for two hamburgers and endless fries after having to stand in line for an hour just to get in.

My wife and I heard about this great restaurant in Lititz that we just had to try. We drove an hour to try it with our two kids and it was just perfect. The food was amazing and the service could not have been better. We cant wait to go back for more, so worth the drive!!!

Outstanding local place. Worth the drive from Lititz or nearby areas. Get the chicken pot pie and youll be dreaming of coming back. Owner makes the rounds to each table and genuinely cares about his customers. Also check out the (overpriced) shops next door.

You dont find them like this anymore. The owners personal attention to the staff and customers shows...the food is always on point, and the wait staff always takes great care of you. The only downside is all the options on the menu make it tough to decide.

A great Saturday lunch. Everything seemed fresh. Pita for Gyro seemed just-baked. Our server, Kayla, was attentive, refilled drinks (even water) and had a great personality. Only complaint... Plastic glasses are too small. We shall return.
