A few weeks ago my husband and I decided to go out to eat and we chose Olive Garden on Lincoln Highway East Lancaster PA. We had a nice time conversing while we were eating our breadsticks and salad. After a while I made a comment to my husband that it seemed like our meal was taking a long time. We were not in a hurry so it didnt bother us much but the waitress came over and said she was going to go into the kitchen and refuse to leave until they gave her our meals. Once received she appologized again. Our meals were very good. As we were finishing up, the manager came over and asked how things were and we said good. He responded with, it was not O.K., you should not have had to wait that long for your meal, we are not going to charge you this evening and then proceeded to talk my husband into getting a dessert. We were surprised and overwhelmed by his kindness. Just a week before that we ate at an Applebees, the service was horrible. We didnt complain, but were definitely not happy at all. It took forever to be served, we didnt get enough plates and one of the plates was dirty and had food on it. The waitress never even appologized, she just tried to figure out what kind of food was on the plate, uggh! Thank you Olive Garden for going over and above to make your customers happy. We will definitely eat at your restaurant again. In fact right before we left the waitress said that she hopes we give them another chance! You were so kind, thank you for the great meal! You have a great manager, one who is concerned about his guests!

4:45 pm on a Friday, We like to beat the crowds and long waits. My girlfriend and I walk right up to the front host desk where two employees are. We stand there for some time as they wont make eye contact with us. I look around and only a few dinners and most tables are empty. After a minute of awkwordly standing there I clear my throat loudly and get the welcome to Olive Garden, how many? Were told it will be just a few minutes and given the pager. We sit and soon another couple come in and are asked how many and are taken right to there table. We were the only ones waiting so I step up and calmly ask why were they taken to a table when we were here first. She does not answer, looks away and starts talking to another employee like Im not there. I then said excuse me I asked you a question and she says we will seat you now. A man says follow me and sprints away. We catch up to him at a table and my girlfriend asked can we have this booth? He mumbles something and sprints away again to another booth across the room. As we get there he runs off without a word to us. What a bad vibe it put on us! Before we even sit down we look at each other and at the same time say "Do you want to get out of here? Yep! We went up the street to Texas Roadhouse where they smile at you when you come in the door! We had a great dinner WITH friendly service.

I recently had the misfortune of eating at your Ronks, Pa location prior to the Bird in Hand half marathon. The food was horendous and when discussing it with the waitress all she could say was that the chefs follow the recipes designed by corporate. Who would put clams in a stuffed mushroom? This was a surprise to both my girfriend and me since my girlfriend is three months pregnant and was told to stay away from clams. We then both ordered the Italian trio with the lasagna, alfredo, and chicken parm. Have you tried your chicken parm? The breading was garbage. It was a cheaper selection than the store frozen encore brand and the chicken inside was mush. The lasagna had a funky taste, as if someone had added cloves to the sauce or meat, as if it was a middle eastern dish. The alfredo had no taste and the pasta was so overcooked that it could not be called pasta any longer. Now I know why your resturaunt chain has become desperate. I feel bad for all the Amish and menonites if they only have your Italian food as an example of what italian food is like. I would want to shun society too if that was my experience with Italian food. If you are interested in eating any real Italian food you could come over for sunday afternoon dinner at my home. Please stop associating yourself with Italy or Italian food, you give us all a bad name.

This Olive Garden location has a high turn over that takes hard and consistent work to keep it moving smoothly and efficiently. So being called to go to our table so promptly when we dine out there,is a very big plus. From my experience in the food industry, I am picky and choosy when dining out anywhere, I notice key points of this location as a well run eating establishment. The beautiful exterior and interior of this restaurant location are well maintained, the tables are promptly cleaned and set, and the carpet swept for new arrivals. The servers overall are very busy, and are WELL GROOMED and WELL TRAINED with being attentive to our special requests with our order. The food quality is very impressive, and very delicious with adequate portions. My husband and I rate our overall dining experience consistent from last and our visit during this month as-- excellent We met the restaurant manager, Susie Barr while she was overseeing the dining areas during the "thick" of the dinner hour We expressed to her that we always look forward to our dining experience at this restaurant when in the area. Thank you, from ShirahSong Music!

Horrible service and food! My family visited this Olive Garden for lunch last weekend. I ordered the chicken quesadilla like meal, but I wanted both a salad and a soup. The menu stated for an addtl $2.99 you can get both. Our waiter, Victor took my order first and when I told him I wanted both the soup and salad he replied it only comes with one. I pointed to the place on the menu that stated you could pay extra for both Victor looks at me and says (with a disgusted look on his face) you want BOTH?????? He came to the table to remove our dirty plates and never once asked if we wanted more unlimited soup or salad or a refill on our drinks. My daughter ordered the chicken quesadilla as well, but received the veggie version instead. She started to tell him that she received the veggie quesadilla instead and Victor began arguing with her that it was the chicken. She pulled it apart and showed him that there was no chicken inside. He then took the plate away with no apology. Everyone we talked to said they never go to the Rockvale Olive Garden that they always go deeper into Lancaster to the other one bc this one sucks so bad. Live and learn!!! Never again.
