My boyfriend and I have hectic schedules and liked ordering from here since it fairly close and prices are ok. I have encountered many issues with this place but today was the last straw. I called to make an order and I didnt hear them on the other line. I thought the line went dead when I decided to ask if it was HOP? Well what I got was completely uncalled for. I felt like a child getting yelled at by parent. Completely uncalled for. I was not rude and even apologized and the "so called manager"/"owner" said to me well if you wouldnt have been talking you would have heard me. WTF was that? He was yelling to the point that my boyfriend coming home heard him screaming to me over the phone in the hall way. My bf decided to take the phone from me and heard the man still yelling on the other side. He proceeded to tell him the yelling was uncalled for he started arguing and even invited my boyfriend over to fight. I work in customer service and let me tell you that the customer is not always right but in this case his actions were completely unacceptable. My boyfriend and I decided to meet this person face to face to realize he was an old manwho kept calm and tried to portray a fasade of the innocent person that he is not. I dont like to be treated like crap when feom the beginning all I have given is respect. This person should either get trained on how to treat people or just stay away from ppl and orders. DO NOT RECOMMEND. FINAL STRAW DRAWN....

oK me and my family are usually great fans of house of pizza. The food is great dont get me wrong. But the service has suffered. We ordered take out this weekend, spending the usual $75.00. Well when the food got here it wasnt what we ordered and on top of that, it was soggy like it had been sitting awhile. Now to top my familys last expierince with House of Pizza. I called back to possibly get my order taken care of and have it brought back out to us. Well thats not the case, after calling back and waiting on hold for 15 minutes then replacing my order and having the ignorant "gentleman" tell me " your order will be back out in about 30 to 45 minutes. We waited and the delivery man never came back. My 4 year old went to bed hungry as well as the other 5 members of my family. House of Pizza didnt have to lie to me. They could have told me they wasnt coming back out to deliver us food and we could have simply called some place else or just went to the grocery store. But they didnt and we sat and waited 1hour and 45minutes for all the stores surrounding us to close and all other resturants to tell us sorry we are no longer delivering anymore. House of pizza needs some Customer Service Lessons.

OMG! I cant even believe the service! George yelled at my husband over the phone for our pizza being late. We were told that George was the assistant manager but then George claimed to be the Manager. When we asked to leave a message for the owner, George suddenly claimed to be the owner. My husband simply asked if there was a discount for our pizza being late and George told him there was no discount and they were very busy and he was going to cancel the pizza because we called and asked about it. When my husband said he wasnt trying to be rude but just find out what was going on with the service, George hung up on him. We called the 2nd house of pizza to find out who the owner was and they wouldnt tell us who the owner is then argued with us for 10 minutes about why we needed the information. We asked that the CC slip that verified the order cancellation be delivered to us and it never was so we have to dispute it on our credit statement now too. We had to call the city to find out the information we needed. We filed complaints with the city and the BBB. We never got our pizza, but really, we wouldnt eat it at that point anyhow!

Hello fellow humans! Food is necessary right? Good food is nice. Great food is rare. H.O.P. is great food. I have been eating here for 8 months fairly regularly. I try to change up what I get each time I go. I have never been disappointed in the food or service. Its a Greek family so when you walk through the doors your family and the food is authentic Greek/Italian. And ya better bring your hunger caus they are gonna feed ya, with enough to bring home. Go ahead try to finish a bowl of spaghetti & meatballs (one bowl is enough for two hungry adults+) but its not just a lot of food its delicious also. One little thing I do when I find a restaurant that might turn most stomachs I head to the dumpster to see what they use for their ingredients. What do they use to make the sauces, fresh, frozen, or canned veggies, type of cooking fats - quality olive oil or cheap generic stuff. I can tell you with certainty they use quality ingredients and fresh veggies whenever possible. So if you want good food at very reasonable prices in a comfortable atmosphere head to HOUSE OF PIZZA in Lancaster.

If you order at the right time of day, at the right time of the week, this is the best pizza in Lancaster. But the reason Im giving it two stars is the lack of consistency and the routinely poor customer service. If I were to combine the number of calls I have made for both takeout and delivery, it would be countless. And every time I call, the person who answers the phone is without fail both condescending and unhelpful. Im not someone who usually leaves negative reviews on places like Yelp or Google, because lets face it, people like to complain more than be helpful. But tonight was the final straw. I called five minutes ago - around 1:30 am - fully prepared to be told they were past their deadline for deliveries, even though their website states they are open until 2. The guy who answered the phone literally grunted (no exaggeration, he made it pretty clear to me that he was annoyed I was calling) when I asked if they were still delivering, and hung up on me mid-sentence while explaining why I was calling so late (protip: its because their website says they are open until 2am).

The person on the phone who took my delivery order didnt ask for a name or phone number, and when I got my pizza, it wasnt what I ordered, nor was it cooked thoroughly. It was slimy and soggy, everything was wet and hard to pick up without things sliding off the crust and then the crust falling apart in my hands. The delivery guy showed up pretty close to on-time, but pounded on my door and then started cursing outside my door.. he then told me where I can write my tip on the credit card receipt, as if Id never seen one before. Cant get the order right, lax customer service, terrible, sloppy food. Not going back. **UPDATE** I went back because theyre so close to my work. Called in a pretty straightforward order -- chef salad with ranch, add chicken. Didnt add the chicken, a $3 add-on I paid for, and the chef salad is dinky to begin with. The tomatoes were all old and gross. Lesson learned.
