So I went here strictly for wings. .40 cent wings everyday after 4:00pm. I was reading reviews and a number of people raved about them... they were pretty terrible. Average size, good amount of flavors but dry as all get out. 1st dozen I had was half hot half bbq/hot/cajun. Bhc were covered in tasty sauce but the actual chicken was so dry it flaked apart inside. The hot were a little better but still way over done like they sat at the bottom of the fryer. After reading the reviews and against my wifes better judgement I decided to get another dozen thinking it must have been a fluke. 2nd dozen was half hot half thai/peanut butter. Again, good sauce but incredibly dry.ive got to admit Im a bit of a wing snob and truthfully Quips has ruined me. Anyone reading this review if you truly want to taste good consistent wings go to Quips but only on Monday when they have their special (apparently they do their wings differently that night.) This should be the measuring stick for all wings. Ive tried rumple brew skins, brickyard, lbc...etc. some are ok, at least better than American Bar & Grill, but all pale in comparison to Quips. Additionally staff was very nice. my 1st dozen took about 40 min to come out, however..my wifes wrap was decent but nothing to write home about. Needless to say we branched out of our normal Quips/Alley Kat routine to try ABG as I havent been there in 10 years and I think it will be another 10 before I give them another shot.

After my out-of-town family and I had a very bad experience at the Lancaster, PA Buffalo Wild Wings and walked out (see my review of them in another post), we drove here to grab some wings. All I can say about this place is WOW!!! As much as BWW was horrible, American Bar and Grill was absolutely divine! The wings -- and the crab pizza and Philly cheese steak -- we ate that night were absolutely delicious. The waitress was extremely attentive even through she was busy as all get-up with the Rose Bowl crowd that night. The manager went out of his way to make sure we got a table with low seats the minute one opened up since my bum knee prevented me from hopping up onto the tall ones. Dont let the fact ABG is located in the towns industrial area fool you -- this place is a definite diamond of a place and well worth your visit! When I travel back to Lancaster in the future, I am definitely stopping by again. And again, and again, and AGAIN!!!

My favorite place to go for beer and wings in Lancaster. Good size wings, decent drink specials (Sierra Nevada on tap) and an unpretentious corner bar feel. I dont disagree with other reviewers on the french fries, they do need a little help there. Not sure about other reviewers complaints about the wings and service though; its not uncommon for places to not give takeout on all you can eat, or specific night specials. That said, I live downtown and Ive been to most all the places you could go for beer and bar food (915, Quips, LBC, Dispensing Co, Mollys, Annie Baileys etc.) and I prefer ABAG to all of them. Their waitstaff has been killer for a really long time; Ive seen two of them run the bar and dining area on a packed Saturday night. One such time when they were overrun, I got a free beer for being patient with a little wait time for a drink. Love this place.

This is one of my favorite places to hang out, catch a game, or just socialize with friends. Their wing special is AMAZING (currently $0.40/ea after 4pm every day) - and you would think with a special like that, the wings would be tiny, or would have limited flavors. Instead, the wings are large and meaty, and come in over 10 flavors! Garlic parm is a must-try... As another reviewer said, this place has a non-pretentious corner bar feel. I feel comfortable, the other patrons are great people, the beer is decent and decently priced. The bartenders and servers are very friendly with fun attitudes and sense of humor. The other food is good too :) highly recommend this place for a chill night to just hang out and toss back a couple brews.

Surfing the internet for: "the best wings in Lancaster, PA" I stumble with this great comments about this place. So I decided to take my girl to eat here. Boy!!!! was I in for a disappointment. We go in and sit, waited for ever to be served the soda tasted funny, the wings were over cooked and dry, the fries were over cooked to the point of burnt. Seriously the fries were so bad that when I took a bite I almost broke my tooth. Then I ask the waitress to plz box the left over wing and he said to me: "Oh we cant let you take the left overs because is wing night and they are $0.35 cents each." .............OK............. We where better of going to Stubbys Bar & Grill.

I was here for the first time tonight. I ordered the fish and chips and it was a much fishier taste than I was expecting. I asked the waiter to exchange the fish for their small Caesar salad but offered to still pay the very slightly higher price for the dinner platter (their prices are very reasonable). The waiter promptly apologized, replaced my plate, and would not hear of me paying more for my meal than the meal I ended up with. He was great, cordial, and professional. Even though I started out ordering a plate that was not to my taste, I will be coming back for the great service and reasonable prices!

If you dont like ABAG, youre unamerican and you probably wear crocs with socks on your days off of work. Listen people, this place is located on a shanky (not swanky) part of town. If you dont get stabbed on your way in, youre in for a proper treat. The staff is funny and inviting, the food menu is dynamic, and their brunch rivals just about anyone in Lancaster. The food is incredibly affordable and interesting. Try the oysters, and thank me later. *dont wear crocs there, or anywhere, this might be more of a PSA than a bar review. Please though, stop with crocs. Its gross. Thanks!

This place is one of Lancasters best kept secrets. Great lunch specials and awesome food! Sometimes the service can be a little slow- especially over lunch as they usually only have 1 waitress working the entire place, but definitely worth the wait. One of their best lunch specials is chicken and waffles. Half a belgian waffle served with gravy and big chunks of roasted chicken. Comes with soup and a side for $6! Another favorite is chicken cesaer salad and on Mondays they have $1 empanadas for happy hour. The people that work here are so friendly and make the place special.

WE WENT BY THESE PREVIOUS REVIEWS THAT STATED THIS PLACE WAS GOOD AND DECIDED TO TRY IT. BOY, WERE THEY WRONG! I ATE SOME BURNT FRIES AND SOME CHICKEN WINGS THAT WERE OVER COOKED AND DRY AND THE BAR-B-Q SAUCE TASTE HORRIBLE AND NOT TO MENTION THE FLAT SODA WE DRANK. THEN ON TOP OF IT ALL WE WERE NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO TAKE HOME OUR LEFT OVER CHICKEN WINGS! THATS RIGHT....THEY TOLD US WE COULD NOT TAKE THEM HOME BECAUSE THEY WERE .35 CENTS EACH IS WHAT WE WERE TOLD. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.
