For my first visit to the Cork & Cap I am extremely disappointed. From word of mouth many had some good reviews of this restaurant, but from my single experience I will not be returning. I had a party of 8. At least 1/2 the people disliked there meals. If you are a vegetarian or vegan I strongly recommend you do not dine here. More details below. Let me start off by saying parking is limited. The parking lot was filled which required me to drop off my handicapped relatives at the door in the rain and park pretty far away. There was a wedding reception going on which may have added to some of my issues, but I assume they have weddings frequently here. Our waiter and his assistant were atrocious and un-attentive. My glass remained empty for most of the evening. Attempts in gaining there attention was meet by actively ignoring us. Questions about the menu were meet by short to no answers. To add to this the waiter continuously gave me the wrong dish which I needed to correct. The vegan dish composition (which was requested weeks prior) was never communicated even when ordered. The first communication of what the dish contained was when the plate was place on the table. The dish it self was boring and lacking creativity in a chef. Also drenched in a lot of oil making it heavy and unappetizing. My dish (not vegan) was cold and lacking in flavor. I expected a bit more pasta than what was provided. Overall the whole menu was heavily meat focused which was a bit overwhelming. This is a beautiful restaurant and has a nice ambiance, but for the price you are paying the food was not appealing. There were a couple of other issues but not worth getting into those details.

Terrible service. The waitress only took our drink order once and it took about 30 mins. It also took her about 20 mins to even stop over to greet our table. We called ahead to find out if there was a corkage policy. They said yes at $10 a bottle. However the manager came out and insisted that we were wrong. He said no one would have told us that. Not once did he apologize for the mix up. He tried to make out that it was our fault and we didn’t talk to anyone. Food was little over cooked. Some of the worst service we have ever gotten. Our company has been traveling to Lancaster for the past 10 years and this by far was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. They have no idea what customer service is. Don’t waste your time there are much better restaurants to try in Lancaster.

The service was so bad we left without ordering any food! We had made an online reservation and upon arrival were told we could be seated at the bar because they didnt have a table in the dining room. I objected, but we were led to the bar area for seating anyway. We didnt see a waitress for at least 20 minutes. She came to take our drink order and the first thing she did was apologize because she was the only waitress "on" in the bar dining area. After another 20 minutes to get drinks, the waitress told us it would probably take a while for us to get food. We decided to leave. As soon as we got into our vehicle, a manager called to ask if there was anything she could do . . . Where were you, Manager, while we were in your establishment??? Clearly you werent helping your staff.

We made a reservation 2 months in advance and were seated practically at the hostess stand. We order the strussel appetizer, which was more like an egg roll. It was cold and the "sauce" was room temperature speghetti sauce. Asked the server about the seasonal beers, he had no clue and eventually brought us the crumpled, stained list that was still not accurate. The salmon was a highlight, but the rice and veggies were bland and reminded me of wedding food. Overpriced for what they offer.

My fiancé and I came for dinner on our last evening staying at the Cork Factory Hotel. I cannot say enough nice things. Food was fantastic, service was extremely attentive and made us feel as though we were the only guests at the restaurant. Jake whom I met in the lobby as we were checking in was nothing short of a true gentleman and a true professional. He made our experience very memorable along with his great staff and great food. Worth every penny. We will definitely be returning!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE! Definitely an amazing restaurant. With a super amazing bakery! And Hotel :) I had a wonderful time with family and friends. I was blown away by the excellent staff, the ambience, and wonderful menu options. The bakery is my favorite! Id ordered a beautiful custom cake that was about 8 in tall and 10 in width(it was huge) with whipped frosting. It was covered in red roses and strawberries. And as you can imagine it was a beautiful sight! :) And very delicious.

The new wait staff needs to step their game up. Went from Five stars down to three. He was completely inattentive and left us completely once the meal was done. We waited for quite some time to get the check. Another female waiter had to come over to assist us. The new wait staff needs trained up badly. The female staff here was always very friendly and on the ball. The new guys seem to drop the ball.

12/5/11: Fantastic food. It was empty when we went there so service was not an issue. It is a high class place, with great food and a great atmosphere. I would recommend this place for a business lunch/dinner. 1/5/12: I went to the restaurant again from my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend and the service was great food was great and the bottle of wine we bought was intoxicating!

This has been my familys go-to for special occasions for years. It can be a little hard to get a table just walking in sometimes, but the food is worth the wait. The seating near the bar is the best in terms of atmosphere, the staff is friendly, and the kitchen produces some of the best fish and filet mignon in Lancaster City.

They should not let unprofessional people answer the phones my husband works in the kitchen and I was trying to get in touch with him due to an emergency with our child the imbecile who answered the phone would not get him for me she kept reiterating that the kitchen was busy and refused to take a message

There were 13 in my party and the restaurant was busy on Thanksgiving. I never felt like I had to wait for anything. The service was pleasant and attentive. The food was spectacular! Previous to this experience, I didnt know Cork & Cap existed. I will definitely be back!

I would really love to see the Cork & Cap Restaurant be successful. The establishment is tastefully decorated and the service is outstanding. However, we have eaten at this establishment 5 times and every time our dinners were a huge disappointment.

The Cork & Cap Restaurant was a wonderful experience. The staff was warm and friendly and provided great service both at the bar and in the Grill Room. The food was a little upscale but well worth the price. My wife and I definitely plan to return.
