Read great reviews, wanted to experience great food as well. I made reservations for 2. While driving to the restaurant, 10 minutes away, they called to tell us that they cannot accomodate us because "a couple without reservation just entered". Had to turn back and scramble for a place at the last minute. Isnt it the very reason why one calls to reserve a table????

This restaurant is fanastic. The food is wonderful but the atmosphere is what really puts this restaurant above others. When you walk in there are antiques usually from WWII Era everywhere. The owners are wonderful and will converse with you and will make you feel like your in their home. Any time I go I always stay for 3 or 4 hours and have a blast.

Best meal we have eaten in ages. German food cooked to order. Quaint and friendly. Loved the experience of having the owner show and tell about the antiques and I even purchased a few items for gifts. A lovely, truly enjoyable evening. Definitely would recommend.

If you want to feel like you are eating at a home in Germany, you will love eating here. Very authentic German food and a great selection. Dont forget the sausage sampler with homade sauerkraut. You WILL need a reservation! Highly recommend.
