I will be nice with this one- The area is lacking good restaurants so this seems like an upscale and nice atmosphere when you walk in and its decorated very nice but there are some major issues with management and bartenders etc Sat at bar and had dinner, we were a little surprised to be at a wine bar with such a terrible selection of wine by the glass plus the bottle selection isnt all that good either! So we ask what is bye glass and the bartender comes over and shows us the bottle- cheap magnum bottle that look like they were bought at the liquor store and not coming from a distributor so that got me first, in my opinion they literally went to the local liquor store and blind picked whatever was cheap and on the shelf, they dont have more than 1 or 2 bottles of wine by the glass! We order a bottle (Josh) mediocre at best and I would say I like it but I was looking for something a little more high end (I know my wines and none were on there) I did see a bottle of stags leap on the top shelf but that was empty and for decoration I guess We finished the bottle and were looking for another glass but the poor bartender is also the bar back, so I cant imagine if the bar was actually full what would have happened- took atleast 25 minutes to acknowledge us but I cant completely blame her since shes doing the duties of 3 positions back there! We ordered food and it was good but it was no way near what she described- my veal was like a thin flat iron steak and not described as what was on the menu- veal should not be like that ever My friend had some risotto in a bowl of "I am not sure what it was" but it wasnt terrible honestly Small portions are fine but if they would have paid attention to us we would have ordered dessert and a few More drinks Owner came over but never really looked at us so it was obvious he was upset with the bartender but its the lack of management that caused that and she is probably Not that experienced yet so again its not all her fault. There seemed to be a manager who was circling (not the owner) but he never asked us how our food was and I would have been honest and said what I said above on he food portion- I wasnt looking to be comped! So now it gets fun, there are 6 people at the bar and she cant be found, shes bussing dishes and cleaning stuff in the distance. Owner comes over and is upset with her but I think he put her in those shoes so he gave us a glass of wine. It seemed he was giving wine to whoever had a frustrated look in their face, through the night he easily comped 15 drinks to random people They ran out of wine, who doesnt have a house cab?!?! So they gave us some merlot and it was fine but it just doesnt make any sense to me Owner was obviously having a bad night, he filled his mug with coors light from the bar without looking at our empty glasses and proceeded to drink it as he walked in the kitchen and disappeared for 30 minutes all the while the bartender was still Mia, when the owner retired he sat at a table with a group of girls as if he was trying to pick them up and was filling their wine glasses with whatever they wanted (or what he had left) This place will not make it if it is run like this, the food is ok and it could be brought up a notch but the management is terrible and thats why we had this experience! I will return once agin and give it a shot, if its still bad after that I will have to write it off and beg for another half decent restaurant in the area besides the settlers inn!!

Found this place while searching on Google maps for restaurants near Lake Wallenpaupack. Im thrilled we gave it a try. We were immediately greeted upon our arrival and shown to our table. Very nice young man approached us and delivered a bottle of water and took our drink order. My girlfriend is a wine drinker while Im more of a beer drinker. She placed her wine order and I was very impressed with the beer selection, albeit a wine bar. Our drink were brought to us and we placed our order. The server described the specials and additionally they were written on a blackboard near the bank vault that was re-purposed as a wine room. Our dinners were delivered a short time later and they were AMAZING. The pasta that is made in house was cooked PERFECT. My chicken had the perfect blend of seasoning and lemon. After dinner the owner (Who we were talking to throughout dinner) asked he he could join us at our table. What a great guy. Our reservations were for 7pm. We finally left a little after 10:30pm. It wasnt because service was slow rather Bobby (The owner) gave us a tour of the building that was built in 1902. He made us feel like the most important guests he ever had. The following morning we visited the diner across the street for breakfast. We were crossing the street after breakfast to return to our vehicle when Bobby saw us again. At that point he opened the door to the restaurant and invited us in for coffee and more chit chat. Much to our surprise the previous owner of the building was there. Bobby introduced us and he gave us more of a history lesson about the former bank that is now the restaurant. You just dont get service like this anymore. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was out of this world. Service was unsurpassed. prices were VERY reasonable. We are already planning our next visit to the jewel. Thanks you Bobby and your entire staff. You have an amazing team. UPDATE: We just returned from our 5th visit to Ravyn and Robyns in the last 2 months !!!!! My girlfriend and I travel an hour EACH WAY for the superb dining experience that is Ravyn and Robyns. The wine selection is far above standard. The food in incredible. The ambiance is unsurpassed. Service is like none other. Bobby who is the owner, goes far out of his way to insure that everyone is completely taken care of and has an enjoyable dining experience. Personable, knowledgeable and professional are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind when describing Bobby. I notice that many people will just poke their head in the door and just turn and walk away. I assume that it is because with a simple glance the place looks expensive. I ASSURE you this is NOT the case. Prices are EXTREMELY reasonable and average $17 or so for an entree. This is not a place to go for dinner. It IS a place to enjoy the dining experience !

Dont waist your time.....I had high hopes for this restaurant when I booked a reservation a month ago for our anniversary dinner. My husband and I came to Hawley to stay at The Settlers Inn in celebration of our 6th wedding anniversary and decided to try out this restaurant based on the reviews online. When I made the reservation the gentleman on the phone asked if we wanted to sit in the vault for our dinner and I was super excited. This was the only good thing about our experience. I should have known better when there were only four tables being serviced and there was noone at the bar on a Friday night at 8pm. You would have thought we would have had the best service since there was noone there. However, that was not the case, the hostess/waitress, not sure what their role was as she was dressed in her street clothes was not very prompt in anything that she did the entire hour and fifteen minutes we were there. To start the table wasnt even properly set, there was no drink list provided except for the wine bottle listing to purchase a full bottle. I had to ask which wines could be purchased by the glass, the bread was ice cold and I had to ask for butter twice once with a different server (again, she was also dressed in her street clothes so I assume she was the other hostess on duty) that was after waiting 15 minutes from the last time I had asked. The food was okay, nothing special. The service was mediocre at best. When we were leaving I noticed a chalk board with specials on it.... it would have been nice to have been told the specials prior to us ordering our food and not me asking if those were the specials as we were leaving......truly a disappointment. Save your time and money and go a half mile down the street to The Settlers Inn for dinner you wont be disappointed! I promise!
