Just stopped in tonight to check out the Spice Route for the first time. While Florence Mooney Your review will be posted publicly on the web. Learn more looking over the menu to order for takeout, my boyfriend and I kept having the same problem, What to Try!?! The host seemed to pick up on that and offered to answer any questions we might have. My Boyfriend turned to the host and said "We like to try authentic dishes. What would be the most authentic dish we can get. We like spice and lamb/goat, but we are fine with any type of meat." The host took a moment to think and then said "I know the perfect thing. Spice isnt a problem? no allergies? I will recommend Lamb Bhuna. It is very authentic. It is not on the menu but we will make it for you." He then turned to me and said "do you want lamb too? or chicken? or something else?" I wanted to stay with lamb to see what the sauce taste differences would be between our two dishes. He then offered a spinach and lamb dish that was also spicy. It turned out to be Lamb Saagwala. Having now tried both dishes. My Boyfriend and I WILL BE BACK! :D The food was amazing. One piece of advice to anyone reading this, If you dont know what to try, trust the servers/host. They know what they are doing.

Friendly staff, even though they were very busy with a couple of large groups. We had drinks at the bar and then we were seated in the main room. We ordered chana masala, murgh saagwala and lamb rogan josh, along with garlic naan and roti breads. Everything was really good! My GF loves Indian and has good knowledge of the cuisine (she lived in Gurgaon India for several months) and she thought the food at Spice Route was very good. They did a nice job of revamping the old Pizza hut. Only 4 beers on tap but they were good, one was lagunitas IPA, always a good choice ;) three Indian beers in bottles and others too. We didnt notice any abnormal odors or anything bad. It was clean and the WC was clean too. The portions were a good size and the price was fair for the amount of food you get. We took some home and do did many others around us. Well be back to try more dishes :)

5-Stars all the way! Outstanding food, very clean, nice ambiance, and highly courteous and responsive staff. Our first trip was on New Years Eve.. Great DJ and lavish buffet spread. Ever since then, weve been hooked! All our family members have become regulars (every weekend for sure!) and take outs in between. If you like authentic Indian cuisine and fusion Indian-Chinese, then this the place to be! A note for all who read Google reviews: Couple of nasty idiots have written bad reviews. They seem to be racists, bigots or perhaps just under-educated types (barely made it through 5th grade :), and dont even have the courtesy to respond to the Managers retorts. Hope Spice Route bans them. Keep up the good work Spice Route! Good luck and success to you and the staff!

I visited here the other day with my husband and daughter and we absolutely loved it. We ordered the mix grill which was expensive but good! Service was great the bartender made us some excellent drinks she definitely knew what she was doing and our waiter Acass was very attentive. We met the chef and he was very kind answered all our questions about the food. Would love to come back for a girls night for some yummy cocktails and good food, I gave 3 stars and not five because of one small issue which my daughter witnessed one of the other waiters really irate cursing and upset about something I did not appreciate his outburst with children present I feel that its a good restaurant but that was inappropriate behaviour.

My husband and I went here for lunch, he was looking for Guyanese Chinese food which they dont serve, but as we were getting ready to leave without ordering but the host grabbed us and convinced us to try something new. I have to say Im so happy he did. The food was delicious, the service impeccable. I will be bringing myfamily back with us to try this place. I hope they stay open for a long time to come. Thank you guys and best of luck to you.

Great food with a classy presentation for a reasonable price. Decor is modest but neat, I prefer a little more flair from ethnic restaurants but this was nice. Wait staff is more than competent albeit a bit reserved. If youre looking for a quiet professional stop or family outing with some good Indian food this is the place to go. If you enjoy a talkative engaging wait staff look elsewhere. I enjoy this place and will be a regular patron.

We came here for lunch. There was no lunch buffet, but they had a 3-course lunch menu with many choices. Each item was perfect. We tried the chicken tikka starter, chilli fish, paneer makhni, gulab jamun, naan. The naan was perfectly thin, soft, and crispy: served fresh out of the oven. very few Indian restaurants, whether in India or other countries manage to achieve this level of all-round perfectness.

Stumbled upon this place on yelp by chance was very pleasantly surprised. Such an eclectic mix of different cuisines, and each one executed skillfully. Every dish had so many layers of flavor and texture, Im from out of town but every time Im around, Ill be coming back here for sure. Friendly staff, wonderful food, and fair prices for the quality dishes these chefs are turning out.

They have the best sweet and sour chicken outside of NYC or Boston! Cant recommend it enough! The Pad Thai is a bit lackluster. Recommend Thai Chang a mile down the road instead if thats what your going for, however their lettuce wraps are prettttyyyyy good. Be weqry though that the smell in the doorway when you first come in is a bit mildew.
