My brother and I stopped in here for lunch recently and I have to say I really enjoyed visit. This was my first visit to La Verona, and really the first time Ive stepped into the building since it was Newtons a number of years back. Theres three tables up by the front window and we were seated in the middle one. Our server provided menus and we placed a drink order. We were both pretty hungry and each of us ordered an appetizer. I selected the Tomato Bruschetta for my app and a personal pizza as my entree. My brother ordered the Fried Mozzarella and Chicken Parmesan. It wasnt long before the apps arrived. They were beautiful, and it was almost a shame to eat them. Almost. The Fried Mozzarella looked almost like a hash brown and was served with a heirloom tomato jam and a balsamic glaze. I had never seen Fried Mozzarella served that way before however it was quite tasty, especially the balsamic glaze which gave it a little kick. Likewise the Tomato Bruschetta looked just as good and didnt last long either. Finally our entrees arrived and they were excellent. My pizza was basically a personal pizza that was about 10 inches across. The pizza was delicious with a very fresh thin and crispy dough and It had pepperoni, aged beef Gorgonzola cheese and roasted garlic. My brothers Chicken Parmesan meal filled almost his entire platter and the chicken itself was surrounded completely in cheese. Portions were perfect and we left knowing well be back again. Check them out if youre looking for some Italian. They can be found right in the heart of Kennett.

We enjoyed two birthday celebrations yesterday at La Verona. Gina our server was excellent. The two kids wanted kid offerings which the menu did not have. Gina let us know that there were lots of choices. The roasted artichokes, proscuitto ham and olives and mozzarella cheese with marianara sauce appetizers tasted great, and were totally disparu by the time our main dishes arrived. We ordered: mussels in white wine sauce, childrens pizza Margarita, childrens penne with butter and grated cheese, pasta with broccoli rabe and grilled salmon, and chicken parmesan. All delicious with ample portions Our dessert was a light cake--tiramasu mocha with whipped cream. Vanished in less than five minutes! I never read the name nor desciption of this dessert, so I cannot tell more than a description. Relaxing and delicous. Thank you very much.

Aside from the attentive servers and kind owners, this restaurant has a charm all its own. Its in small town Kennett Square, but guests from all around are treated as locals with the same care, respect and attention. From the moment youre greeted at the door by the smiling staff, to the delicious appetizers (my favorite being the Roasted Artichokes), to the beautifully presented entrees which are always delicious and alot of times are plentiful enough to take home to enjoy later. I strongly recommend that if youre coming to Kennett Square, make sure this is a stop on your way. You wont regret it!

not the best italian in town disagree, enzos is right net door and has had the best for the best price as well since i cant remember. this place is too high priced and food is not fresh, you can tell if you eat out a lot, the only god thing they have is a bar, service is good at the door, waitstaff is not knowledgable of their own wine list. i would eat at enzos and bring my own wine as i have been , since it did nothing for me. fine dining , maybe i would go with a date once more, but still enjoy taking my dates to enzos italain eatery or the half moon.

It has a nice atmosphere to sit with friends and enjoy a conversation and a meal. I had Mussels alla Marinara for starters. I have eaten mussels for decades but the sauce and tender mussels were unique; I was scooping up the sauce with the shell. I had two large crab cakes with roasted red pepper, horseradish, aioli edamame, and some steamed vegetables. I usually prefer crab cake with just enough panko to just barely hold the crab together, but this was very tasty. The bar had a many choices of creative cocktails. Great place.

Decent service, nice people. Beer selection was ok. Unfortunately the best thing we ate was the bread and oil before the meal. The main courses looked great but the flavors were overwhelmed by salt. I guess its possible there was a kitchen mistake and I was really close to sending them back but finally mixed it together with the risotto and that helped. It takes time to send things back but next time, if there is one, it will get sent back.

This is your typical Italian restaurant thats stuck in the 1980s. Exactly what youd expect. The on tap selection is big breweries (Miller/Coors, InBev) with one occasional seasonal craft beer tossed in. Food is good, but the ambiance makes me feel like Ive time traveled. If you want a glass of wine on the patio in the summer its totally worth it though.

We stopped in after a long and wonderful day at Longwood Gardens. I cant say enough about the food (excellent!) the staff (wonderful) and the overall atmosphere (warm and inviting). They have a cute outside section, a bar and a lovely (and just slightly more formal) dining area. I would highly recommend the Chicken Piccata - best Ive ever had!

Outstanding authentic Italian food; cudos to the chef. Pay attention to the Italian wines on the Wine List. Definitely worth the logistical shortcomings with reservations (our table was not ready when we arrived, but was handled expertly) and insufficient number of waitstaff (slow, but still attentive). Highly recommended.

The only thing Enzos has in common with La Verona is location. Enzos is a fine pizzeria, La Verona is fine food. It is the best Italian in the area, unfortunately that is somewhat akin to being the tallest dwarf. The food is fresh, the quality of the ingredients is excellent. Definitely the best restaurant in Kennett.

My family of five had the restaurant to ourselves so at first I was nervous about that. Did everyone know something I didnt?! Nope, the food was yummy and the waitress was very good at her job! The actual restaurant is dark and kind of dated decor wise but if the foods good I can live with that!

Service is excellent, disappointed with the 5 small ravioli & 4 small shrimp called Lobster ravioli for $29, came without bread. GF pizza was hard to chew, first time I ordered it was very good perhaps crust was freezer burned this time.

This was one of the most enjoyable dinning experiences I have had in many years. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. The man who waited on us made us feel like family, and made the meal unexpectedly fun and special.

These owners do not pay their employees. If you support foreigners who do not pay their employees come here to eat. Check with the labor board and you will see that Im not lying these guys are modern-day Crooks

We went to La Verona today for a small funeral luncheon. Our waitress was wonderful. The food was wonderful. We were able enjoy our time together without rushing. This place is a gem.
