This King Buffet is the best Chinese Buffet in Downingtown and Exton! It provides many different kinds of food for lunch and dinner. I went there many times with my friends and families and I totally recommends it! The food was great with many different taste and spice to it. The service was also good and many people there were very friendly and nice. Some thing that I notice below is that some people who commented negatively below are rude and obnoxious. This seems unfair and ridiculous even though it is based on your personal opinons. Many restaurant have problems before and we as a customer may know that. Like you said, few of you are college student, does your teacher ever told you that if you want to talk to people behind their back, make sure you know it beforehand. It is just a waste of your time writing a nasty comments about other restaurants and people. And of course, like you said that there is a undercooked food...does that mean you got sick totally? Did you went to the emergency room in the hospital or have a doctor report that it does indicate that? If not, you have no business whatsoever to talk about that! Lastly, you said that you want more discount. Do you know that if you said that there is something wrong with the food, it has nothing to do with the amount of money that you are paying. What does money have to do with the fact if you get sick? If you dont get what Im trying to say, the bottom line that I mean is that you are cheap! Lastly, I am very sure that if I were the manager, I would definitely call the police. Money is a priority but customer health and safety is also the number one priority that every business take care of. If you also have a food poisoning, make sure to check if it is YOUR OWN problem! Because not every people are the same, and food posioning is your own fault if you eat to much oysters or seafood.

The food was undercooked today and my roommate and I felt sick after eating. We immediately showed the servers the undercooked food that we consumed half of and they immediately reported it to their manager and removed it from the buffet until a new batch was made. We noticed that they did not make any announcements to us or their other customers. For a Friday evening, the restaurant was packed with families and young children. The server, not the manager, told us when the new batched was cooked but we refused. Instead, we asked that we a get a discount but they refused due to the fact that we had a $2 coupon. We wonder what wouldve actually occurred if we didnt have a coupon? We felt that it was a bad business and food safety practice. Money, not customer health and safety, seems to be their number one priority. We tried to speak to a manager but she refused to even talk to us directly because her phone conversation was more important than her customers. Her cashier even had the audacity to say we were rude for asking for more a discount because we had the coupon. Im disappointed on how this was handled and Im sure that this isnt the first time it has happened. Since Ive taken health and environmental safety classes in college and know what types of health procedures restaurant business owners should be familiar with, this is definitely a health and safety issue that needs to be researched. For your safety, especially if you have children do not even consider eating here. If youve had food poisoning or bad customer service in the past, not only will it bring up bad memories, but unfortunately it will take another 45 minutes out of your day to fill out a health complaint with the states health bureau.

I am generally not a big fan of Chinese food buffets. It can be so hit or miss depending on how popular your choices are. Chinese food is sooo good when its good, but when its bad, its creepy. That being said, as far as buffets go, I would give this one a high rating. Still not as good as fresh out of the kitchen, but for sitting under heat lamps, the food seemed to retain a fair amount of its flavor and tenderness. I wouldnt touch the sushi bar with a ten foot pole, but the generals chicken melted in my mouth and was just the right amount of spicy. The egg drop soup was lacking in flavor, but ideal in consistency. The fried chicken wings were better than I expected, but the hot wings set Jen a-blaze! Watch out for that mushroom chicken too. It looks unassuming, but itll give you a swift kick in the pants! The atmosphere inside was very nice and the service was good. We were seated immediately and the waiter basically stood within earshot the whole time. I think I went up to the buffet 4 times. My top picks from this restaurant are the generals chicken, boneless spare ribs in honey sauce, and the Chinese donuts. Yummy! Generally I would say if you like the popular dishes, youll enjoy this place because the food is being refreshed often. But if you like the more obscure things, you might want to stick to the sit down restaurants. I would definitely rate this restaurant higher than the China Grill Buffet over by Old Navy (even though they did have better egg drop soup there). But seriously, stay away from the sushi.

I completely disagree with a lot of these people food takes time to cook. If you ask for new trays its not going to be out under five minutes. Yes sometimes their food is dry but any buffet gets like that at certain times. If you go when they are busy the food is great. And Ive asked for trays to be switched out and they do it. But you have to realize it takes time cook. So if you want fresh and your there at an off time then your going to have to wait. Running a restaurant period is hard out on top of that all the issues that come with customers wasting food by getting more then they can eat and trying to have food for everyone throughout the entire day. They definitely need to figure out a better system. Maybe smaller amounts at down times. Also the cook they use to have was better then they have now. I suggest trying to get the old back or have that person train the new one. But I love this restaurant its better then other similar buffets in the area. They just need to revamp a little. And if your going to leave a review yeah speak the truth but also try giving constructive critism so maybe these businesses can work on what is wrong and be better in the future.

First and last time Ill be going to this place. Came for a public class in the banquet room and when the class was over, the guy running the place wouldnt let anyone leave until everyone paid for the buffet. Some people ate and some didnt, but he was trying to make those who didnt eat pay. This was not a part of the agreement when the person running the class reserved the room. So this guy calls the cops and they show up and talk to the man, then the cop walks over shaking his head and said under his breath, "This place... " haha like this place calls the cops for ridiculous stuff like this often. Basically the cops let all of us hostages free and waited until the crazy man called down. It was so unprofessional... No wonder this place has bad reviews. And thats just for service! Cant imagine how bad the food is... Never stepping foot in there again.
