Went there Sunday afternoon with my family. It was quiet because it was an odd time, but there were a few families dining and some regulars at the bar. The burger and homemade chips were delicious. The nachos were okay. My kids loved the chicken fingers. The "waitress" was not very good. We go to sit at our table and there was a leftover drink. She just took it away and didnt bother to clean the table. She didnt bring us utensils until after the meal was served and we asked for them. Then forgot about us to the point where the kids were done and getting antsy. There were two other people who assisted her, and they were nice. Again, this was not a busy time for them. Overall, the food was very good and our meal for 5 came out to $60 including tip.

The Union Publick House is a truly unique experience. They took an old dive bar and gave it a vibe. Youll find the expected pool table & bar games and the personable bartender who greets you as you walk in. What will surprise you is the excellent beer/wine/cocktail selection and a locally-sourced menu that is inventive as well as delicious. This is a not-to-be-missed stop when you visit Jim Thorpe.

Its such a breath of fresh air to have food that was obviously prepared with care and love.I had the Sheppards pie and it was delicious,as was the salad greens that accompanied it.My guests raved about the deviled eggs sampler.I will most definitely be returning and am already looking forward to doing so.Will get your tastebuds doing the happy dance!

We enjoyed several delicious meals here including a fabulous stuffed French toast brunch with mimosas. The chef was accommodating and fast. The bartenders were friendly, food was fresh, and best of all the menu is delightfully uncharacteristic for a coal region bar! We love this dive!

Fantastic brunch! In a dive-bar setting, the food is top notch, drinks are delish (try the bloody Mary), staff is friendly, service is fast. Youll want to linger to enjoy a game of pool or video golf with friends. I highly recommend this extremely cool place.

Great food and great service. We joined some friends for Sunday brunch. Good thing they made reservations ahead of time as its almost always booked solid! Dont let the outside fool you, the menu isnt that of a dive bar at all!

Went on a recommendation from a friend. Boy was he right. Great beer selection, wonderful Mardi Gras specials, and homemade dessert. You usually cant ask for more from a gastropub, let alone a dive bar.
