A Co worker told me about this fantastic buffet on Friday nights at suicide bridge last Friday. Another Co worker and I went last Friday and it was anything but fantastic. The hostess didnt ask us if we wanted the buffet. Just asked if we wanted upstairs or down. After we got upstairs we found out there wasnt a buffet upstairs. Found our way back downstairs. Told the hostess we wanted the buffet. For people who frequent this place im sure they know where to go but we didnt. The hostess wasnt very informative. Once seated in hard worn out chairs and nondescript nautical style table I was really hoping the food would be good. 35 dollars for the buffet btw. It was not good. I made four trips to the buffet. I never saw soft crabs, several of the other main foods werent being filled like shrimp, crab imperial, crabs, etc.. If most of the food came from Sysco I would not be surprised. Ironic for a seafood restaurant on the water dont you think? There was one thing that seemed homemade and it was the cheapest and most plentiful thing on the table. The creamy potatoes. Coincidence? I have eaten at suicide bridge several years ago and I dont recall being so repelled. To the top it off we didnt see our server very much and even had another server bring our check because ours was mia. The experience just wasnt worth it. The parking lot was full, I just dont understand why.

So my husband and I were just there. We let them know when we made our reservation that we were celebrating our 20 Year Anniversary. Let me mention it is Valentines Day weekend. We were seated right away. Our server Shannon would probably benefit from personality classes because she was very brisk and not friendly at all. There was a young lady walking around selling roses...never once stopped at our table. My husband had the delmonico (medium) with a crab cake added on. His steak was slightly over cooked (more medium well) and more fat than meat. The crab cake was very good! I ordered the 9oz filet minion (medium well). My steak came out bloody. I sent it back and when it was brought back out it was burnt. Im talking crispy! No apology or anything. My husband and I both agree the salad was good...if that says anything. Shannon slid a plate of two chocolate covered strawberries onto the table as she was walking by saying "complimentary for Valentines Day". She did bring my husbands drinks quickly. Spoke to the manager before we left...he did apologize and offered us some roses. When we declined his offer, he offered a certificate for a future visit..which we also declined. We chose this restaurant to celebrate a milestone in our lives...drove an hour to get there...and will not be returning.

We tried this place for the first time, the atmosphere is nice however the server, Danielle, was terrible. She did not ask how we wanted the steak or tuna cooked both were cooked to death. We got the pasta off of the kids menu we had to ask for the applesauce that is supposed to come with the meal and we never even got the fries or ice cream. I chose fries as my side after eating one I quickly realized there was cocktail sauce on the plate and in the fires. When I told the waitress she said "oh, okay I can get you a new order." Never once was there an apology. The food was mediocre at best most of my husbands steak was fat, my daughters (child) pasta was covered in parsley flakes and the coleslaw was watery. Overall for a $70 lunch we were not happy. It will be a long time, if ever, we give this place another shot.

We dine there quite often. The food & service is excellent. The Friday nite buffet at $31.00 is a bargain for the fresh seafood (oysters (raw & single fried), scallops, soft crabs, crab imperial, shrimp, etc.), ribs, chicken prepared by the best Chef! The Kools crab cakes & blacked tuna...anything you order is fresh & the best. Yesterday was a cold, windy, rainy day and we had taken some out of town friends touring. We stopped at Suicide for lunch. We were seated next to the fireplace and the warmth was so appreciated. The shrimp salad , large fried shrimp, Kools Crab Cake & crab balls impressed our guests as well as the Eastern Shore Hospitality. By land or by Paddle Wheel they do it right!

If you want fried crabs, I suppose its ok. The food wasnt particularly good (very salty, not inspired), the view was totally unimpressive (no outdoor seating, too much glare from the lights). I dont see why people get excited about it, could be done so much better, even for what it is. Now, Bistro Poplar in downtown Cambridge, wow, that was a surprise. Fantastic food in the middle of nowhere (steak frites was just great), creative use of ingredients (wife had fish with a sauce made from lime and bananas). Do yourself a favor and go out to eat there.

Terrible food! Nothing fresh. Crab cakes and crab balls filled with breading, shrimp was preformed and fried to order (flat as an iron), flounder fillet was thin enough to read a paper through. In fact, after it was fried, it was difficult to find any fish at all. To be on DelMarVa, this restaurant is a huge disappointment. Next time I will go where the seafood is actually fresh off the water. To top it off, waitress was obviously not in a good mood and never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. Never again.

My family and I went to Seafood Buffet for my birthday. The food was excellent, very tasty and of good quality. However I was not pleased when we receive the bill and because we were a party of 7 a gratuity was automatically added. It was a buffet and all the server did was bring drinks and we had to chase him down for that. If anyone deserves a tip it is the gentlemen who is shucking the oysters because he did an excellent job, very pleasant attitude and he enjoyed what he was doing.

Pricey. Especially, in view of the overwhelming number of deep-fat fried items on the menu. Ugh. Difficult to find anything that is NOT fried. I have been in the restaurant business. It is one of the "lesser-known secrets" that many / most restaurants use the same oil and fryers for most everything. Seafood, poultry, etc. -- all in the same fryers ... until the taste and flavor becomes amalgamated, and undistinguishable. Also; female waitstaff seem to be Hooters wannabees.

I heard great things about the place; we will not return!! They lost our reservations. The service was terrible, no bread, salad served at the end of the meal they forgot. The meal was expensive and only so-so. The steak was not close to median rare. Did not ask if we wanted dessert or coffee after we ate. The parking is a complete mess. The appetizers were incredibly salty. I felt like they could care less about our business or the quality of their food.

Food is excellent. Had the Rock Fish broiled with red potatoes and green beans. Spiced just right. Stuffed mushrooms appetizers are loaded with a lot of backfin crab meat. The steamed crabs were very good. A side of mild horseradish sauce accompanied bacon-wrapped chicken livers. These were overdone. The only negative. I recommend this restaurant. Beer was cold.
