This place is absolutely a disgrace to the Dinning business. I cannot describe the terrible experience completely from beginning to end but Ill try to sum it up. When I walk in I prefer not to see a waitress with missing teeth guiding me over to my table, it was already unappetizing. I was unfortunate enough to be seated right under a speaker that was practically falling out of the ceiling and very staticky and made enjoying even a good meal near impossible. Might I mention when I was looking up at the ceiling I noticed some major water damage that was unfixed. When I was seated I was served with water. I believe their water main should be checked because I sensed some lead particles in my water besides that is tasted terrible and rusty from some residual led pieces from the possibly galvanized pipe. Luckily I decided to order a Coca-Cola from the choice of beverages because it has imported carbonated water instead which is safer. The staff is very displeasing by their attitude, but that’s to be expected from an old run down diner like this one. I noticed there was a senior citizen’s menu that I was not allowed to order from which I believed was unfair. I decided to order a bacon cheeseburger. I consider this to be standard for a diner to be rated on. The burger tasted like meatloaf that was puked up by some kid or thrown away and put back into the stew to be served again. The lettuce and pickles were very unfresh. I recall the fries being the exact same that my old high school cafeteria had served. I did have to use the restroom but after sitting in that place and eating that god awful burger I may have to spend some quality time in my own restroom at home which would be preferred over what could be the epitome of disgust I had already witnessed in that restaurant today possibly inside their restroom. It was the restaurant that you already knew was bad before walking into and was worse than you thought after walking out of. Do not eat here, and certainly don’t take your children here

Me and a couple co-workers went here after going to Hershey Park for the day. We all ordered decently simple things, a Mushroom/cheese omelette, an omelette with provolone and green pepper, chicken fingers, mozarella sticks, and a hot turkey sandwich. The cheese inside the omelettes was so distributed so poorly that you ended up with unchewable mounds of cheese in your mouth, one that I almost threw up because of. The potatoes that came with the omelettes felt as though someone steamed the precut potatoes then took the lid off and let them crisp on the outside for 2 seconds. They were slightly browned, completely dehydrated, mushy on the outside and completely flavorless. Its like the chef here has no concept of seasoning. The mozarella sticks were barely warm enough to keep the cheese melted and the chicken fingers were super dry as well. The turkey sandwich was covered with what can only be described as a geltainous failure of an attempt at gravy. Finally, the service. Our waitress was immediately rude upon entering the restaurant, barking down my throat for questions like "What kind of cheese do you offer?" and "Could I get another coffee?". She came back to our table once in the entire time we were there and was completely unenthusiastic in everything that she did. Once we were finished our meal (I couldnt finish mine, something that never happens) we went to pay. Once paying our meals final price actually got rounded up. (!!) What should have been something like 10.64 was rounded to 10.65 (Pretty sure this is against the law) All in all, if you stop by Hershey Park, do not stop by Cocoas Diner.

Waitress was new (had worked there previously and had come back) and was extremely nice. The food was almost inedible. I should have ordered pancakes, which is what I came in for, but instead I decided to give one of the specials a try. Meat was extremely dry, stuffing was disgusting and putting the "gravy" (I think thats what it was meant to be) on only made it worse, the macaroni and cheese was about the consistency of soup and tasted like... I dont even have words for what it tasted like, but it was definitely not good. There were no seasonings involved in this meal at all. The bread that the waitress was so excited to bring us was literally rock hard and I dont know how the person who put it on the plate didnt know. I didnt finish half my food, eating what I did only out of hunger. I had been wanting to try the place for awhile - I love diners - but this is one that will never get my business again. I dont usually tell people to avoid a restaurant, but I recommend that you do.

Ever drive around late at night, searching the streets for a reason to not kill yourself? Ever drive for hours and hours, watching the sunset and the sunrise in the same ride. Passing countless neon signs, blending into a single blurr of light as time begins to melt away with your will to live. Suddenly, a twang of hunger, and a sign takes form. It is the Coco Diner in Hershey PA. You desire food. You desire anything you make you feel full in any sense of the word. You enter. You do not have much cash. You see prices beyond what a diner in this condition should have. You begin to go over terrible food choice after food choice. You get your food, and suddenly realize it was a terrible choice. You see blotches of other peoples scraps on your plate, in your glass, on your silverware. You realize that you should have driven off of that cliff a few miles back. I hate you Coco Diner. You have been the death of me.

Im glad we didnt see the reviews or we would have missed out on 2 awesome burgers and chicken fingers. We stopped here after Hershey Park and didnt want a chain or fast food. The burgers were cooked to order, mine med and the other well. Huge patty, soft bun, and seasoned fries. I prefer western cut or plain fries, but the seasoned were decent. The menu IS huge, but I dont go to diners and order fancy food, I expect greasy spoon type food and friendly service. Thats exactly what we got. Waitress was awesome with refills, the owner or manager stopped by and asked how things were, and even another worker asked if we needed anything. My only very small complaint is the patron next to us couldnt stop staring at my tattoos, like hed never seen tattoos before. We just ignored him and enjoyed ourselves. Staff made us feel very welcome and I will return next visit up that way.

We dont really have diners where we live. After eating at the Cocoa Diner, we wished they would open a second location by us! The food was absolutely delicious and you got plenty of it! I had a lump crab meat sandwich on sourdough bread that was so fresh, youd swear you were in eating in Baltimore. I could not believe only had to pay $8 for a meal Im sure could have gone for double in a lot of other places. We also loved the classic diner decor. Plus, we just a great server. She was very attentive and was incredibly nice to my son, whom was a little under the weather. She was very patient with him and kept on checking on him to see if he needed anything. Ironically, we were in New York and New Jersey and didnt nearly have as good of a dining experience as we had at the Cocoa Diner.
