I am unable to write anything about the food due to the fact the service we received while trying to be seated was terrible and we ended up walking out and going somewhere else. We arrived and it wasnt overly busy but it was a little after noon so I wasnt expecting immediate seating for my party of 13. The host said it would be a minute to get things ready and he was back and forth for about 5-7 minutes. In that time another big party walked in, said they had reservations for noon. The hostess told us they dont take reservations so wasnt sure what the woman was talking about. Another 5 minutes pass and the other woman starts getting loud about how she arranged this weeks ago with the manager and said they would be there between 11:30 and 12 and it was 12:25 now. A few minutes after that we were told that the other party who arrived after us would be seated first and we would have to wait for another place to be set up. We asked twice, to clarify that a party that arrived after us was being seated first even though they dont take reservations and by the womans own statement they were 25 minutes late at the earliest for a reservation that may or may not have been taken. That is a bad business decision all the way around. The loudest shouldnt be given preference over those that have arrived first and if reservations are allowed that is fine but you dont hold them for 25 minutes. Having already waited at least 15 minutes for a seat we walked out and went to the restaurant 2 doors down from this one.

First Watch is an excellent deal for the food. The service in Bowie, however, is variable, at best. Our waiter this last time was friendly when we arrived and through ordering, but made little to no effort to interact once we did and then slid the check onto the table without asking if there was anything else we needed. Use the No Wait app. to avoid lines during rush times (weekend brunch). UPDATE: back for a family lunch right @ noon on a Tuesday. Service was ridiculously slow (40 min. betw. ordering & food on the table), music was loud in a busy restaurant, table and dishes were sticky/a mess. Waiter tried, but they were overwhelmed with a crowd and too few staff. No sign of a manager anywhere the entire two hours we were there. Just not sure this staff has the right attitude for this restaurants concept. Not sure were going to come back after this visit.

Save your time and eat ELSEWHERE Service was a disgrace. The servers walked around like zombies that hated their jobs, NO ONE greeted my girlfriend and I as we approached the hostess stand. Our server (after 15 minutes of being seated) finally came over to say "whats up" and lean all over our table as if in a photo shoot. If I was the GM or Owner of this restaurant I would NEVER allow my establishment to be run by such a lazy and incompetent staff. Ladies and Gentlemen of first watch you would see your tips increase with your attitude and demeanor. Not to mention the host was outside washing windows as he awkwardly gawked at the patrons walking inside leaving them to approach a goat town of a host stand. He then continued to spray the windows with cleaner and NEVER said a word to the next 3 sets of patrons that came through the door. Absolutely despicable.

What a disappointment. First time trying this place out and I will never try it again. I ordered the Chicken Avocado Salad when I arrived at the location. The employee that took my order said "It should be about 10 minutes." After waiting 25 minutes, I finally asked him if he could please check on the order status. It wasnt until then that he actually looked at the bag sitting on the front counter to discover it was indeed my order. No apology or remorse. Handed me my bag and said "here you go." Already annoyed and starving at this point I return back to my work to eat my salad I was very excited to try and it had wilted and brown lettuce, brown avocado, slimy chicken and the wrong dressing. To pay $10.00 for a salad, and not even be able to eat it, after a long wait, is extremely aggravating. I should of just got a salad from McDonalds.

If everyone is saying the same thing, then there must be some truth to it. I gave it 3 stars because the food was delicious. However, customer service was not good at all. When I arrived, I grabbed a menu so that I can place my order to go. Once I was ready to order, I was left standing at the front for 5 minutes. The hostess/waitress came back and proceeded to seat other parties that were clearly behind me, and turned back and said "oh, youre ready to order" in a snarky tone. Her overall attitude from that experience, to her taking my order, even the way she handed the food to me was a complete turnoff. I am all about giving people a chance, and often over tip, but this lady didnt get anything from me except for this review! Needless to say, I will drove to Laurel from now on when I want my first watch fix.

We had problems with their customer service. We had a large party waiting to be seated, and they told us it would be 40 minutes. We waited patiently for 50 minutes and then sent someone up to the hostess stand just to check on our status. The hostess told us it would be another 35-40 minutes before we could be seated still. They were very unapologetic and there was no extra effort made when they realized that we had already been waiting over an hour. People with smaller parties had been consistently seated before us for a while, so it was frustrating. We ended up leaving the restaurant because we were. It being helped. We would like to eat there again sometime, hopefully have a better experience...But for now, Im giving it 2 stars because poor customer service turned us away from even eating there.

when Frist Watch came to Bowie the service was amazing! Unfortunately it has declined! The staff has a lack of respect for a customers time. On three different occasions I have placed an order and was told it will be ready in 10 mins, but actually took 30 mins. On two of those occasions I was late for work because of it. I placed an order today tell the greeter my name when I came in, he goes in the back to check on it. When he came back out, instead of handing me my order so I can continue with my day, he hangs it on a hook and proceeds to help someone else...WOW! I hope management reads this, you really need to re train some of your staff or hire new staff that have better customer service skills and more importantly RESPECT for a paying customers time!

I was there an hour before they closed, and the place was full, though not packed. There still was no wait for a table for me. I was alone, and it was a touch loud, slightly above easy conversation level, but not uncomfortable. I ordered a Beefeater sandwich and a Sante Fe salad. The salad was incredible, and I would definitely get that again. The Beefeater was good, but not amazing. Id definitely recommend adding the horseradish, as that about triples its quality. Personally, I thought the horseradish sauce needed a bit more horseradish, but then again since I grew up grinding it fresh, I usually find that to be the case. I would definitely come here again.
