We wondered around town hungry as a horse...and we came across this gas station playin music. As we look over we see hilltop restaurant-soul food headquarter, interesed we walk in. We were greeted with such hospitality. We both ordered smothered pork chops..it was served over rice and beans, with two sides. I got the amazing mac and cheese and cabbage. He got collard greens and sweet potatoes. Omg! Everything was freakin awesome. The rice was cooked perfect. The chops were fall of the bone and perfectly smothered! The sweet potatoes were mmmmm delish! We gave kudos to the cook, it was that good. The guys there were awesome...oh and to make it better, he dont add salt to his food!!! (: we got 2 (1 meat 2 sides) w 2 drinks for $12 (lunch special, an hour after it ended)..plus what we tipped um..We had left overs for reheats, too. I hands down recommend this place to anyone searching for good eats.. they also have awesome breakfast specials...well definitely be back to gice a try. 5stars!!!!!!

ALTHOUGH GOOGLE RATES SAY I VISITED IT LAST YR..THAT WAS JUDGED FROM PIKS I TOOK WHILE THERE......BUT TRUST I EAT BREAKFAST AND DINNER THERE EVERY DAY!! I LUV THE FOOD I HAV BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR OVA 7 YRS AT HILLTOP NVR WORKN THERE ALWAYS THERE TO EAT..AND THE PRICE IS RITE..IM ALWAYS INVITING OR TAKN SUMONE THERE FOR THE FOOD THEY ALWAYS ALWAYS COMES BACK.IT IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE RESTURANT...PERIOD.

First time today 3/19/17. Food was great....pork chops w/gravy over beans w/rice....side of greens and mixed veg. Beef tips w/peppers tender and flavorful. Prices are great, people extremely nice. DEFINITELY going back, a hidden gem on the Hill. Well done guys, thanks for a great lunch.
