After coming to this place on many occasions with my husband and his service dog today was the worst experience because the manager decided for the first time to give us a hard time about having a service dog. Our quiet well behaved service dog was acting the same as he always does. There were only a few customers with many seats available. The manager decided because of past experiences with other customers and heir service dogs that we couldnt eat there. Well long story short the police man nicely reminded the manager of the law. We decided after all this we would eat there and well the food that I received was suspiciously less than it had been other times I had ordered the same dish. The manager was unapologetic and still believed he was right. He was so stubborn and difficult. After all that he still didnt believe the police.

We spent part of the day at Gettysburg Museum, and wanted Mexican for dinner. We are from out of town, and our friends GPS brought up Montezuma in Gettysburg. Weve made some bad mexican choices in the past, but went in. WE ARE GLAD WE DID! Ive been eating Vegan lately, so I ordered Veggie Fajita, extra Pico de Gallo, asked for Mas Caliente salsa and they brought out a delicious Verde salsa. The food was great, others ordered burritos, Quesedilla, Chicken fingers with fries for the little one "Did I order chicken? NO!" she said! :) 4 adults, two children, one that eats like an adult, just under $50. Great service, they re-filled drinks, salsa, chips, before we asked. Im going back even if I have to drive 350 miles to eat there again. :)

Service is awesome, you are never left out to pasture here. The staff is extremely prompt and will return to your table many times to ask if anything is needed. We spent about 30 minutes and must have had the waiter visit our table at least 6 times if not 10 to tend to any needs. And if you want to be served right away, plan on having your entree within 10 minutes. Food was good, my wife had chicken fajitas, the best. I had the chicken chimichanga on fried tortillas, good but I liked the fajitas better. Ice tea (un-sweetened) is crisp and fresh. get the tea. Go here for the Mexican food. I think its better then the other Mexican restaurant in Gettysburg.

We stumbled across this restaurant while at a conference in Gettysburg. Loved the chips and salsa, chiles rellenos, shrimp and especially the tamarind soda! There truly was something to please everybody, even the picky eaters among our group. Staff was very friendly, and service was excellent. A few of us ate at the Montezuma twice in the three days we were in town. I have been craving the food, and I might try to convince my husband to make the 2 hour drive to Gettysburg for nothing other than a meal (and Chambersburg peaches, but thats another review) - its that good!

Although, the service was great if you are looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place. The rice and beans tasted the same as my schools "Mexicans" rice and beans. I would have also wanted the corn tortillas handmade but, thats just how my mom has spoiled me over the years, haha. Maybe Im just bias because my mom makes amazing food but, people at my school talk and talk about this restaurant and I think it just wasnt worth my money. The restaurant itself looked amazing though!

Montezumas can do no wrong. I have been coming to this restaurant since my freshman year of college and continued to return throughout my college career. They have a spectacular atmosphere, delicious and speedily prepared food, and a friendly waitstaff, particularly one waiter named Arturo. Each and every time I eat there, I leave full, satisfied, and it doesnt break the bank either. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Gettysburg, dont let anyone try and convince you otherwise.

Great place to eat in or get take out. Food is good, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is fun. I usually call in for a to go order. I always order the steak fajitas and have plenty left over for a second meal the next day---chips and salsa come with the meal too. I typically check for the tortillas because they have been missed a few times. But everything is hot and fresh. Overall, a great stop if you are hungry for Tex-Mex food.

I hardly ever write reviews but - Hungry family of six after a long Saturday at Gettysburg battlefield. It was very busy but we got a table right away and we were in and out in 45 minutes. The food was outstanding - better than any Mexican in our hometown, and we have lots of Mexican places where we live. Great service- never had an empty water glass and kids food came out within five minutes of ordering.

According to the reviews this is one of the better choices in Gettysburg, so we went for it. And were absolutely not impressed. We choose the sampler for two persons ang got two baked plates coverd in cheese. Main taste: cholesterol and fat. Watery guacomole. Ice in drinks tasting of chlorine. Would have given it one star in Europe, but hey, this is the USA...

Very frequent customer here. Tonight ordered their cheese dip as I always do and they wanted to charge me for a small bag of nachos to go with it. Mind you they are always free whether you eat in or take out. And the cost was over $3.00 not counting the $5.25 cost of the cup of dip. Very disappointed. Will be looking for anew place to regular.

We found this restaurant when on vacation in Gettysburg and loved it so much the following year we went to the coast and on our way home through Hershey we drove back towards Gettysburg to have our dinner there again. Loved it there. Great food, service and the atmosphere was nice for a small restaurant. We will go again when down that way.

We took a quick trip to the area and found a lot of places closed on Monday, but not Montezuma. We are big fans of all things Mexican food. You will not be disappointed! The prices are reasonable, the service was quick, and the wait staff was friendly and on top of things. They even have a lunch menu! Highly recommended.

Very good if you want "authentic" Mexican cuisine. Pretty much what you would expect of any restaurant in that category. Food was good, atmosphere was nice, service was a little slow but they were pretty busy when we went. All in all a very good experience, but didnt blow me away.

Montezumas is one of our favorite places to dine. Their services is quick and friendly and they always refill your drink and chip bowl without needing to be asked. The prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food you receive. I highly recommend them.

Pretty standard Mexican fare, the food was steaming hot and the service was very good. Pass on the bland jarred salsa served tableside, and ask for their pico de gallo; it has much more flavor for your chips, or added to an entree. Overall a good spot!

My husband and I love Montazumas. The food is fresh and brought out super fast. Price is very reasonable. We visit here almost every time we are in town. We havent found a Mexican restaurant we like as much as this one, anywhere else in the area.
