Something has happened to the best Chinese restaurant in Drexel Hill. I have a theory in two words... no adults. In my last two visits (Spring 2014) there were no adults in the patron area to handle concerns that cropped up - twice being service, once being food. On visit #1 I requested brown rice instead of rice noodles in one of their specials. "No, we cant change it. It comes with noodles." I asked Really? ... what would happen? "Thats not how we make it." ?.. (so?) This resulted in a teen conclave and they, reluctantly?, agreed to make it. It was delicious ... why wouldnt it be. No apology from them. On visit #2 I asked for white sauce on a different special. "That wont be good." the waitress said. Ok, how come? Theres nothing in there but ordinary ingredients and peanuts and bean sprouts. ??? Ok, again they gave in to a severely benign request. I asked for it a little spicy, standard request, never a problem before. Dish arrived, sauce was not white, but golden, and was not just spicy... but 10x as spicy .. liquid salt (and I do like salt). "This is not white sauce. And its a little spicy ... why dont you take a taste?" ... "Yes, it is." "I think you should look again." Teen conclave #2. No answer whatsoever. No offer to fix it. No offer to order something else. I think thats enough. Ill wait for someone to post that their situation has been resolved.

I have been a customer to this establishment for over thirteen years. I have repetitively ordered the classic General Tsos Chicken and it has always been one of my favorites on the Szechuan Hill menu. However, tonight I was very disappointed when I excitedly bit into a piece of "chicken" from the dish. The chicken seemed to me not like the meat itself but instead possibly the skin of the animal. Bite after bite, inspecting every piece, it was to my horror that most of the meals components were indeed similar to the first. When I did find a piece of what looked like chicken, It was the driest piece of "chicken" that I have ever had. I am sad to write this review but I was deeply hurt that a restaurant would let that pass through their doors to the outside world for the consumers. This depresses me because this is how the world is now. I know very few people that slave over making their product the best it can be. What happened to our pride? It is all based on making money as easy as possible. If that is how you want to work- go ahead! I just know it unfortunately will no longer be my money for this particular restaurant, unless they prove me wrong and return to the fine restaurant that I have known for these past years. Hopefully it was just one bad dish out of many good ones!!!!

I went there tonight because it was the only Chinese restaurant in the area that I havent been to and I really wanted to try it. I was with my brother, sister-in-law, and niece. My niece is under 2 years old. As soon as we walked in, the service was excellent. The only reason the food gets a Very Good instead of Excellent is because the breading of my brothers Sesame Chicken was a little too crispy and even crunchy in some spots. The service was great. All of the employees were very friendly, especially one of the hostesses. She came over and said hi to my niece and she was just very kind and friendly. She was even able to get my nieces trust and let the hostess pick her up. It was just an all around wonderful experience.

My family was seated for almost 30 mins. No one came to take our order. We finally got up and left. Weve been here a few time before and the food is always pretty good but the staff not very personable. Not friendly at all. No hellos, no smiles. And our last visit, no wait staff, no order, no food, and no apology as we exited. Not sure if well go back.

They cant seem to fill their take out orders very well. FIVE times Ive had to drive back to get the sauce for the sweet and sour shrimp. Unfortunately tonight is my last time eating here. Luckily there is a chinese restaurant on every block! !!!!!!!

Probably the worst in the area. General Tsos chicken is made from frozen pre-packaged meat, stringy with little flavor. The chicken Lo Mien was pretty much spaghetti without the sauce. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend.

Not sure who the woman is that answers the phone for take out during the day, but she is so, so rude and 3 out of the 4 items we ordered were wrong. Is this place under new management??

Solid neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Great for lunch and takeout. I suppose they got new management recently, and the food quality is better. The sesame chicken is really tasty.
