Arrived on mothers day. Place was not busy at all. We were seated at a hibachi table and were the only ones at that table for a good twenty minutes. We had our drinks and soup and salad and were waiting on the cook to come out any minute when they decided to seat a family of six at our same table. We had to wait for them to get their drinks and appetizers before we could get our hibachi food even though we were there way before they were. I had my eight year old son with us who had to sit there for an extra half hour watching another family eat even though he was hungry. My husband attempted to rectify this with the owner so the cook could cook for us while the other family enjoyed their appetizers only to be told this is how all hibachi restaurants do it around here. We werent asking for much, just to be served in a timely manner. Eventually the cook made it out and we tried to enjoy mothers day even with this issue. They could have easily sat this family at another hibachi table since we were so far ahead of them in waiting already. Owner or manager had absolutely no people skills and was completely distasteful with the way he spoke to my husband. With that being said we wont be back.

So Ive gone there occasionally for take out if Im near there. However, food is not great and last experience terrible. They left out an order for my take out and acted like it wasnt their problem. Only wanted them to send the order to me, less than 2 miles away. Kairen, says hes the manager, told me he was yelling at the chef for this, when he gave me the order, not checking what was in it. Then looked on reviews to see they serve roaches in the beverages and food!!! Not good... agree with Quote. " Condescending, distainful and careless behavior! ( Another previous review). Go to "Fume" North ninth street across from the Stroudsburg Mall! Much better food, and service.

I have been to Ichiban about 5 times over the past 3 years. Three of us went for dinner this evening and was surprised that they charged for soda refils. I asked the waitress and cashier and they said they always charged for refils. Who charges for refills @ a sit down restaurant now adays? Not many places that I know. In any event, there food is already a couple of dollars more than many of the other chineese restaurants in the area. Also took longer to bring out the food than the other times I have fone there. Dont think I will be going back there again.

So sad that there isnt an Ichiban closer to where I live! I cant stop thinking about this place. We grabbed some booze at the Wine and Spirits next door and excitedly went into one of my favorite Asian restaurants! The waitresses are fantastic and adorable. The food is AMAZING. Well, I think so at least ;) we got a bento box teriyaki to share and a spider roll to share. Everything tastes fresh and not fishy! Before that weve gotten chicken and broccoli, various sushis, and soup/salad. All of it was fantastic!

Fabulous experience! We sat at the hibachi cooktop and got to enjoy a wonderful presentation as well as great food. If youre visiting in town or out for a special night, I would highly recommend it. Its expensive, but well worth it. I wish I could have tried the sushi or other items, but I was stuffed. The ribeye, chicken, and strip were all great. Highly recommended. ...an additional comment, the place doesnt look like much from the outside, but is very nice inside. Enjoy!

Been going there for more than a year now. It was the place of me and my fiancée first date. For the past year or more weve only had good experiences. Im not a fan of the new plates granted they do look great. Food is always delicious and at a reasonable price. Staff is always very kind and patient. I do have to say the bathrooms arent entirely great aesthetically but they are always clean from what Ive seen. That being said, a 5 out of 5 will do

This place is the best Ichiban in the North East. The service is fast and friendly and the fish is incredibly fresh. The white tuna I had today was so soft and tender it practically melted in my mouth it was amazing. Their ginger salad dressing is like better than like the salad itself definitely try it. Their entire menu is premium a perfect place for celebration dinners.

Love this place 2nd next to the one thats in Bartonsville by Sonics......Sushi is always good and Fresh...Food is always tasty and HOT when you get it, service is very speedy (aside from food coming out but its worth the wait) The waiters are very polite and attentive.I would go here everyday if it werent so unhealthy for my body and my pocket to do so :)

EXTREMELY DISGUSTED! I went there with my sister one afternoon and we order water to start off our meal. And in my cup of water was a floating ROACH! When I told them all they did was say "ooh Im sorry" and thats it! and to top it off a few days later my friend goes there and finds a ROACH in her FOOD! SOO INCREDIBLY GROSS! dirty place!

THE WORST chinese food in the Poconos. Recently sold and the new menu is different but more importantly, the new chef uses soy sauce to the extreme.. ugh.. I threw most of my dinner out - couldnt even eat it - horrible! I am a former regular customer and I will NEVER go back - ugh - I hated it.

A condescending, disdainful, careless attitude. Prices too high, smaller portions, rice half-cooked, swimming inside a "soup" of sauce! Our food was not tasty, but wont replace our dish, wont refund! Instead suffered from inappropriate behavior A condescending, disdainful, careless attitude.

Ive never used the sit-down aspect of the restuarant, but the quality of the food is excellent and the portions given are good leaning towards generous. I love their seaweed salad! The prices are a bit higher than other local restaurants, but the quality is also higher.

The best Chinese food I have ever had. We moved here from LI a year and a half ago, where there is sushi or Chinese food on every corner. We had our favorites too, but this beats them all. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Next time well try the Thai or Japanese.

Not overly impressed. Miso soup was cool and bland, fried noodles were stale. The sesame seads on the salad were burnt. The consensus with the group I was with was the food was ok. It is not some place wed strongly recommend or travel to come back to.

Food was bland tasting was really awful I ordered Thai noodles with chicken, the people was nice and helpful, sushi was good... but the Thai and Chinese food on the menu was flavorless and taste awful,didnt finish my eating my order

Decent meals considering they serve such a large variety of foods. I had sushi and the Kung pao chicken. Perhaps not the best sushi, but still a great restaurant to go to if you want to cover all fields at one stop.

Outside doesnt look like much. However, the food is delicious. Setting is ok, but do not be fooled. Excellent service & delicious choices. Pineapple rice was phenomenal as was my tempura roll & shumai.
