Okay everyone, lets STOP comparing this to California or Texas Mexican. The food here is "good" but not great. -No- comparison to the original recipes and freshest ingredients of Californias Mexican food, but better than most you will find in this region. Note: they do not have SALSA here, just pico de gallo. (They should really serve a good salsa). Also, the chips are thick heavy corn tortilla chips made in house, but not in a good way. Not the light white corn tortilla chips you see elsewhere. The mole is decent. Guacamole is fresh and tasty. Presentation is EXCELLENT, and the service is outstanding. Margaritas are nothing to rave about, at least not the house margarita or the gold margarita. This place is worth a visit, and we will go back, but Casa Toro isnt "just like California".

Grew up in California, lived in Texas a couple of years, and, oh, now what a gem of a find - I dont have to move back to California! The guacamole was fantastic. I ordered mine with just jalapeno, cilantro and lime. The cooks nailed it. The hard shell taco with shredded beef: amazing. The pico de gallo, mwwaah! Cant wait to go back and get the enchiladas. Yes, the rumors were true. Thank you, Julio! Took off a star today; the burrito was below average. Cold, dry, absolutely no flavor inside, and very much a disappointment. The flautinas, too, were too small and flavorless. The cheese enchiladas were very good - the red sauce was delicious.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the region! A bit out of our way or wed be there a couple times each month. The service is always excellent and they know their menu. At our last visit I asked for a recommendation and our waitress suggested the fish tacos. Fish tacos... really? They were PHENOMENAL! Plus, you know when the side dishes are good the cook has some game. I would recommend that they try to make their space a little more "cozy" and slightly more formal. Watching waiters run around in shorts is a real detractor as well. But we wouldnt dream of letting these minor things deter us from another trip to Casa Toro.

The place is adorable, the service and ambiance is awesome...Mexican Food I am sorry its not.. just because you cook with onion peppers and cilantro doesnt make it... When you get to the last page of the menu its Comida Cubana? OK and for rice and beans and a portion of pork $19.00 lmbo if your looking for authentic Mexican no this is not the place, but for simple tacos and enchiladas for those that dont eat with flavor and real spices. I guess this is good for them.. This is no Fiesta Ole or La Cocina Mexicana.. #this is just my opinion #some people love it here - good for them # nice place for drinks and simple eating

We had been there for Mexican food a couple of years ago and it was good, nothing special but good! However, when I found out that they were serving Cuban food I had to go back and try it, so glad we did! Take it from me, Im Cuban and I know a thing or two about Cuban food! I had the Palomilla steak with the maduros, black beans and rice, my wife had the pork with the same accompaniments, everything tasted delicious, it was authentic, and just awesome! Great experience and definetely going back! The only drawback, their Cuban menu is limited and wish it were a little more extensive, maybe with time theyll expand it!

Basically a bar. Cons: No real effort is put into the dinning experience. The food is bland, unseasoned and not exciting. The chicken tasted like it was frozen and was very dry. Most dishes you get come with a small bowl of re-fried beans which was extremely dull and has a thick paste texture. The food is also very overpriced. Pros: I will say if you are just looking for a bar to sit and watch a game this place may be for you. The bar is quite large and has a good amount of seat. The TVs are up very high so you might strain your neck a bit watching them.

My wife and I Iived in Texas 4 times and California twice. Weve been searching for decent , authentic, Mexican food in the Lehigh Valley for 2 years now...weve tried 7 or 8...everything from Taqueiras to Chains to poor local attempts at the cuisine and been nothing but disappointed. Casa Toro blows every other "Mexican" restaurant weve tried in this area completely out of the water. No contest. You will not be disappointed. Try the Tampiquena. Its a 30 mile drive for us, but well be back at least twice a month. Have a margarita while youre at it!

Not even close to our first visit there last summer. My husband ordered a ground beef burrito and it was full of huge chunks of onion & ground beef had no flavor!! My husband does not like onion and could not eat this entree. Bartender didnt offer any assistance or even acted like she cared, so we ordered a third entree. I ordered shredded beef enchiladas and meat was long & stringy and chewy. Our night out was very disappointing & expensive. Definitely wont be back.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. Price is right and food is very good, maybe even authentic. Price is very reasonable and décor is good (nothing too fancy, but appropriate). Service has always been good. The only down side are the chips which dont seem to be made with corn (or not much) - mostly flour. Also, salsa is essentially Pico de Gallo, which is very good but not salsa. Id give it 4.5 stars so rounded up to 5.

I went with my family and it was a horrible experience. We got there and waited about half an hour, which wasnt too bad. We got seated and it was very loud. The waitress was nice and came back to check on us frequently which was good! We got nachos as anappetizer and there was barely any cheese and the chips arent normal tortilla chips. I got the quesadilla as my meal, and it was very good. Unfortunately, I now have food poisoning.

I got the Toro Combo: burrito, flautitas, and enchiladas. All were very good, and there was a lot of it. I liked the burrito best, and will probably just get that the next time Im there. The ambience was seriously noisy; they were playing trivia in the front, and using the PA system. The service was OK; not quite as quick to notice we needed drinks as we would expect -- but we didnt wait long for the food at all.

We arrived at 7:00 pm on a Friday night. Had a 30 Min wait for a table. Overall, the service was fine. Food was delivered to our table within 20 minutes of ordering and was very good. Unfortunately, the noise in the restaurant made it impossible to hold a conversation without almost yelling at each other. When we finished and walked outside our ears were ringing. We will not be going back.

This place is too good. Everything on the menu is homemade. Ive been to Mexico, Texas and California multiple times for business trips, and let me tell you. Nothing compares to Casa Toro. After all the Mexican food I intake while on these trips, my wife usually knows how to brighten my day with either a trip to casa toro, or take out on that very day of arrival. Thumbs up! All across the board!!
