Not a good place for vegetarians. Requested a vegetarian version of their fajita, sever was very nice and said they can do that. Ten minutes later she comes back apologizing and saying that her manager doesn’t allow ordering anything outside the menu. No problem, I ordered “burrito with beans and rice” from the menu. Another 5 minutes of wait then I got a beef burrito with beans and rice on the side. Apparently burrito implies meat burrito by default, even if not explicitly written in the menu. Server seemed to be very understanding, she promptly replaced that with a vegetarian version. It was ok, but nothing special. Rating one star because the manager could not accommodate a vegetarian fajita (as easy as tossing some mushrooms and bell peppers in the pan).

Pay with cash!! Went here last Thursday & used my credit card to pay. After using it at the restaurant my bank said several charges to my card were coming through in Florida!! Have been going to this restaurant for over a year to fulfill my Mexican food cravings. Always share the Fajitas for two option on the menu. It is enough for four people ( just ask for extra tortilla wraps) & comes with shrimp, chicken, beef, & pork with rice, beans, lettuce, etc. Fajitas have always been great! Tried to branch away from fajitas & the food was disgusting. Free chips (like most Mexican places) come with salsa & ask for white sauce( which is free) Very fast service!

Bartender was not friendly, nor Professional. My friends and I got to the bar and the bartender immediately asked ONLY my wife and her friend for ID. No, "hi, how are you?" Not that we mind getting carded but you cant single people out like that, so unpleasant. Service at the table was attentive and friendly. Food on the other hand... The chicken is right out of a can. Most likely bumblebee chicken salad or similar. The ground beef was terrible. Really greasy and not much taste. The cheese. Holy moly, the cheese was American cheese!! Wtf is that. All in all, Taco Bell is better. No joke.

Went here based on the strong Google reviews and overall rating. Ill be honest- I dont get it. This is like Chevys. Bland Tex mex menu, most everything is served bland with cheap meat. Margarita was basically liquid sugar. The table side guacamole was admittedly very good, but not great enough to write home about. Service was average. If youre craving TexMex in the KoP area, perhaps this is indeed the best option. But compared to other excellent restaurants in the area such as Aroma, Seasons, etc., Plaza Azteca is quite average and boring.

Service: Average Cost: Cheap (but you get what you pay for) Food: Terrible Atmosphere: Average I absolutely LOVE Mexican food. Unfortunately this place was terrible. I ordered cheese enchiladas and when my plate arrived there was more cheese than rice, beans and everything else put together! Plus it was American cheese (not cheddar, Monterrey jack or anything remotely good)! Definitely not authentic, I can make better Mexican at home. Would not return but for somebody looking for something cheap with no taste, this would work!

Before coming to this restaurant I was expecting to be disappointed due to previous review about it lacking vegetarian items. After getting my menu I noticed in small print that most menu items come with ground beef unless requested. I then noticed a whole vegetarian page, when i asked server they stated (All their beans and rice) were indeed vegetarian. After ordering my food the server came back and asked me if sour cream was ok being very vegan conscious. Needless to say the food was amazing with many vegetarian/Vegan options.

I had been in the mood for Mexican food for about a week and last night after work I found out this place exists. It hat much better pricing then the Mexican places closer to me in Wayne and we got take out Im not gonna lie I wasnt expecting as much as I got for around 10 bucks but I got several enchiladas that came with a slightly spicy rice and some beans it was almost like they filled the tin up until they couldnt reasonably fit any more in it. I loved every bite and would definitely recommend.

A fantastic restaurant! From the food to the service, Ive always had a great experience here. The food comes out fast, and is always fresh and hot. The margaritas are large, tasty, and not as weak as the ones youll get at other more typical Mexican restaurant chains. My favorite dish here is the Enchiladas Chipotle, a spicy dish covered in cheese and sour cream. If youre in the area and looking for a good Mexican restaurant, I highly recommend Plaza Azteca.

One of our favorites in the area. We just keep coming back. Ive eaten a lot of Tex Mex over the years, including in Texas, and I have to say they do it quite well here. Guacamole is pricey, but its absolutely amazing; the best guac Ive ever had in a restaurant. Atmosphere is loud and fun. Drinks are great. Waiting staff are always friendly. Service is super fast. Ive always been happy with the food. Tacos are usually my first choice.

To be honest, I generally find the food to be decent, but massively overpriced for the portion size. Keeping in mind that tequila and I do not get along, I ordered one of their spectacularly overpriced margaritas because I havent had a decent Margarita Tamarindo this side of San Diego (the only way Ive ever been able to drink tequila), and found it to be nearly undrinkable. Generally, "meh" would be how I would describe Plaza Azteca.

Food comes out quick, prices are too good to be true and its delicious. I wish the drinks were much more consistent. Sometimes, Ill order one of the specialty frozen drinks and it will come in a huge glass and other times its really small. It can be really crowded at times, Ive waited over an hour for a table but its worth it. Call ahead if you can and bring your appetite because the portions are very filling.

Buena comida y excelente servicio. El guacamole estuvo Grandes Ligas y Los platos exquisitos. Recomiendo la sopa Azteca, el Pescado Azteca y el New York Strip. Thanks to our waiter Lester.

Considering that this restaurant is east of the Mississippi, its pretty good. The service is always very friendly, and fast. It does get very noisy when the working crowd arrives. They should have the music at a lower level in the dining room. Its also too cold and drafty, so bring a sweater and eat quickly, as the food will get cold before you finish eating.

If youre allergic to or dont like onions stay far away from this place, they put onions in EVERYTHING. Rice, beans, sauces etc. Except the meat. Leaving you not option to say WITHOUT ONIONS. The staff is friendly but a lot their English is not to good which makes it hard to ask questions about the food and drinks unless you order EXACTLY whats on the menu.

Plaza Azteca has an excellently varied menu. There are options for vegetarians, carnivores, and everyone in between. My experience with the staff has been good, and the bathrooms are usually pretty well-maintained. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is casual, while not being overly casual or sloppy.
