Restaurant is very hidden, behind a sketchy motel area. We figured we give the place a shot since it had really good reviews and we didnt want to judge a book by its cover. We waited 35 min to be seated, it was packed and many people comiing in as we waited so we waited patiently with 2 crying babies becuase we figured this place must be really good to be this busy. We were seated, it took 15 min for the waitress to ask us for drinks...and abother 15 to get our drinks. 25 min to get our food, and by the time i got my second drink i ordered, i had finished my food. It looks like there were was only one waitress and one lady bussing the tables. There were two tables that sat there uncleared and uncleaned the entire time we waited to be seated. I thought they were saving the tables for a bigger group, but nope... after we got our booth, they finally cleaned the table (which sat 6) and sat 2 gentlemen that walked in after us. The food was okay, i liked it. It wasnt what i expected, but it was good ...my husband didnt like the food at all. Not the best experience, we were hoping the food would make up for the wait, especially since we are from a small town ourselves and know how hidden little gems almost always have the best food. Not the case this time.

All of the reviews rave about this place, and it may be because the only nearby option is Taco Bell and compared to that the food here appears to be authentic. I was extremely disappointed in the lunch meeting menu options and even more the service. We arrived and were handed menus, no greeting like "Hi" ever given. The waitresss attitude was bad and it just got worse from there. I ordered cheese dip and should have know better when I didnt see the words queso anywhere but its "authentic" right? To my surprise and horror - a dish of school bus yellow squeeze cheese is brought to the table, ugh! I must say my husband ordered the enchilada and it tasted good - but all of it tasted premade. I ordered tacos, which came with cilantro and onion, I asked for cheese and was charged extra. Worst tacos Ive had in my entire life. I wasnt going to post a review but the hubby said it could help someone else make a better decision given the food options in Mount Pocono are already limited. Hope it does, we will not be back!

This place is a classic example of "dont judge a book by its cover". By the outside you may expect to see a small hole in the wall joint but it is spacious and clean inside. The Staff is friendly and accommodating. This is authentic spanish cuisine ( I can vouch as I am a 1st gen latin american) starting with their delicious and perfect margarita! Yum. Our appetizers were nachos grande, which were better put together than chain restaurants, with authentic Mexican components, and a Tamal - surprisingly had a great smoky taste. The main course, Mi Casa Bandeja was plentiful and also delicious. All in all my family and I were left this place very happy and a must to visit on our next teip back!

The food was EXCELLENT. So much so that I posted a photo of their tacos on Facebook. It was as authentic as it gets which is great because it appears to be the only place in the area where you can get real Mexican food. They did a wonderful job with what they did inside, considering how tiny the place is. The atmosphere was perfect. Only complaint I have is they didnt bring out plates for the chips/salsa while we waited for the meal and they didnt bring out glasses for our beers... but the food made up for it and thats really the only thing I care about, the food! I will be back MANY times :)

Ok, so we stayed for the second time at a local couples retreat in Mt Poconos. We decided to eat out side of the resort and searched for local options. I must say, being Latinos ourselves and living in a City with a Mexican restaurant in almost every corner, we truly did not expect to find such freshly prepared and let me not forget extremely tasty food so far away from home in the Mountains! Service was great and we enjoyed the bachata and salsa music playing in the background. The staff was excellent. Thank you guys! Scott & Elsie Guzman

Yes it is attached to a funky old motel. No you shouldnt care. The place is unassuming, but the service was great and the food a delicious escape from common Mexican cuisine. We started with a delicious, if a bit weak, margarita. The chicken fajitas taco salad was a big hit, with a nice spicy kick. The kids devoured beef tacos, empanadas, and tamales. The bandeja was a very generous plate of variety, all of it very satisfying. Very recommend spot for tourists in the area trying to escape the overpriced lodge food.

This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. It is a bit difficult to find as it is on the side of an out of the way motel that probably hasnt been a hopping spot in a few decades. The restaurant isnt very big so at busy times Im sure its hard to get a seat. We fortunately went for lunch on a week day and quickly got a table. The staff was friendly and the food was great. Large portions and good options even on the more limited lunch menu. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

The food here is beyond incredible, and I necessarily dont eat Spanish cuisine because there isnt really a good local place near me (and Ive tried many of them). But this place knocks everything right out. The servers are very, very kind, and the place is spotless from top to bottom. A hard working family owns this place, and they put their heart into the restaurant and the food that they make. I will always come back here whenever Im in the area again, highly recommend it.

When we first arrived we were a little skeptical. Its a little tiny place at a hotel, but dont worry, the food will make up for it!! The food was amazing! My boyfriend who is hispanic says it was like his grandma was the cook. Very authentic, not Americanized in any way! Its a must if youre in the area!! And I will recommend the empanadas and fried sweet plantains!!

Went here for lunch. The waitress was swamped, but her attitude was still professional, cheerful, and very helpful. I ordered the enchiladas with beef and green sauce. Delicious. And they dont use ground beef, so I was really happy about that. The rice was so good. I had to stop myself because the portions are so huge. Would definitely recommend and come back!

A bit tucked away behind a motel this place is a pretty decent find. A bit small so if there are a number of people you will have to wait. The food and staff are pretty good. Prices are moderate about $12-$15+ with big portions for their plates. You could even split a meal if you dont eat too much in one sitting.

Disappointing ..margarita tasted like it ony had mixer in it ..the glass it was poured in was small cheap with salt smeared down sides very sloppy.i did get a refund for the margarita but overall not a good experience place needs to be updated..my chicken dish was not as described on menu
