One Word: Wonderful :)!! We had been waiting for Shagun to open with much anticipation. It opened while we were away, so we finally went last week to the lunch buffet. To our surprise, we were greeted warmly by our old friend Happy who was a wonderful server at another establishment in the past. Needless to say, we were very excited to see Happy again & were even more excited to find out that he was part owner of Shagun :) !!! Well, the food & service at Shagun were excellent as I expected seeing that Happy was back & running things! Our daughter who enjoys Indian food is very picky about the quality of her Indian food, so we were doubly thrilled to hear her say how much she enjoyed the food also! We thoroughly enjoyed the many buffet items as well as the additional surprise items that Happy served us to acquaint us with their offerings. Yesterday, we went back again & ordered take out. Again greeted & treated with courtesy & exceptional service by Happy & his team. We enjoy Tandoori dishes & Shaguns are tasty, tender & reasonably priced. I got the Tandoori mixed grill & it was awesome! We Highly & Strongly recommend Shagun & are glad that Happy has come back to us - Go There, you wont be disappointed, Happy will see to it :) !!!

Ive definitely been anxiously awaiting an Indian restaurant to come in the area, and Shagun was worth waiting for! Where do I start.?.? First, the service was impeccable, I was catered to throughout the whole dinner experience. My main waiter, Happy, was very attentive to my needs. I didnt know what app to get, so Happy made a suggestion, and it was phenomenal (lamb & chicken kabob)! I ordered my "go to" Indian dish, Chicken Tikka Masala & told him I like spicy. Well, spicy it was! My mouth was on fire, LOL! I sent it back to request less spice & was told they spice according to your order; Mild, Medium, or Spicy. When it came back, it was perfect! The ambiance of the restaurant was unlike any Indian restaurant Ive been to, not to mention its also a BYOB! I also received a company discount and dessert for my inconvenience. Im sorry to sound like Im bragging, but I really LOVE this place. And Im not an easy person to please when it comes to dining out. When you go, take a bottle of wine, ask for Happy, know the level of spice you can handle, and find out if they have a discount for your employer. Enjoy!

I had dinner at this restaurant for the first time last night. Food was fantastic! I had a lamb dish cooked in spinach, and it was well seasoned. Lamb was not tough at all; it was tender. Serving size was surprisingly big. The rice and the lamb dish came separately in bowls (totally loved this presentation!), and judging from the size of the bowls, you wouldnt think that there was much in it. I took the leftovers home and enjoyed it as dinner tonight. Also ordered a side of garlic flat bread, which was phenomenal! Unfortunately, I was so stuffed, that I couldnt try any of the desserts, but will do so next time. Staff was VERY friendly and attentive. I never had an empty glass of water, as someone was always coming by to refill. In regards to the price of the dish I ordered, it was comparable and affordable (I think the lamb dish was about $16 or $17). If youre planning on going to this restaurant, youre definitely going for good flavorful food. The restaurants ambiance is quite relaxing and comfortable. I definitely would recommend this restaurant if youre looking for good Indian food.

First Time Experience. Good Experience. Goat biryani and tandoori chicken was super tasty. I suggest this place for all who like to have tasty Biryani. Bad Experience. 1. Tandoori chicken served with no mint chutni ( Asked For The same to get it) 2. Biryani with no Salna ( employee said we will serve just Curd and no Salna, explained same to other employees and got it ) 3. Order tea and waited for 20 Min ( employee said sorry I thought you guys left and i forgot to inform the same to chef. Please come next time and will offer dessert as compliment ) Later the lady employ said we are refunding your money back and sorry for all the 3 issus what ever happened today. We will surely make sure its not happening next time. I dont want to take money-back coz its like I ate for free. But even after I said.plz dont refund, I am ok with it, she mentioned its ok sir, its our mistake in all so plz accept the refund.

I went to Shagun to try Indian food for the first time. I loved it!!! The food was delicious... my personal favorite was the chili chicken but I also liked the chicken biryani and the samosas. Every table is offered plain or garlic naan which was warm and crispy. The service was excellent and I judge it by how long my glass of water is empty. The glass never was empty because they were constantly refilling it and checking in with us (however not obsessively or overbearing). The manager, Happy Grover, was attentive looking for feedback. When he saw me trying to watch the cook make the naan through the kitchen window, Happy invited me into the kitchen. I met the cook, Pedro, and watched him cover the naan in garlic and stick it to the inside of the clay oven where it bubbled and became crispy. I will certainly be coming back to Shagun and recommend it to anyone who likes Indian food or wants to try it!!!

I like to come here once and awhile. Good food and their spiciness gauge is tailored to american palates (my medium spicy chicken melai was actually abit mild for what I usually like. I would have also prferred a more pronounced coconut flavor, but thats just for this dish. Other dishes Ive had here are there for me in spades with flavors) I do looove the variety. And their dishware is cool. Service is always prompt and our server this time was very helpful with recommendations. The chai is real! The music is alittle weird, it can be awkward if you are the only ones in the restaurant. Also it is ALWAYS SUPER COLD! I would love it if they turned up the heat. Highly recommend this place if you require comfort food/something different/something delicious. The Aloo Tikka with Chole (you read that correctly) is wonderful.

Love, love, LOVE this place! My husband and I have dined here several times and everything we have tried is amazing! The hospitality provided by Happy Grover is like no other restaurant around. He is warm, genuine and incredibly gracious every visit. My favorite is the chicken tikka masala. The chicken curry is my husbands favorite and the chicken korma, which we tried for the first time this evening is delicious too. One great thing, is that you can customize each dish, whether you like it mild, medium or hot. Regardless of how you like it, each dish is always fantastic. The mulagawatany soup is so tasty and conforting (especially during the winter months) and the naan pairs perfectly with every meal. This is, hands down, the best place in the area for Indian food. We look forward to returning again soon and often!

Ive been waiting for the area to have an Indian restaurant and boy was I pleased. I went for the lunch buffet and it was the best Indian buffet I have ever been to. The staff were really attentive to detail and Happy was a gracious host. Shagun has been open four weeks. Everything is clean. The seating arrangement is perfect. The tables are expertly set. The atmosphere in the place was great. Now on to the food. Everything I had there for lunch was amazing. The food was definitely freshly cooked. The naan was freshly baked. I never had a empty glass of water. Id like to give kudos to the chiefs, waiters, and Happy for a fantastic experience. We needed a place like this in the area, so keep up the awesome work. This restaurant has been added to my "go to" list in the area. Check it out you wont be disappointed.
