The place has a nice old feel to it but as soon as our less than friendly waitress came over and aggressively ripped the extra menus off our table due to the fact we didnt completely fill the table with people and had one of the worst customer service skills Ive ever experienced. The food was ok the women bathroom backed up and the water overflowed out into the eating area. Lastly our waitress that took over for the miserable waitress took my husbands food while he was in the bathroom without even asking him if he wanted to box it she then rushed us into ordering desert because we had to leave within ten minutes for the next reservation to take our table. NEVER in my life have i been forced to leave a restaurant after a certain amount of time especially after spending 140$ for crappy service and mediocre food. Dont recommend and will never be back! BLACKLISTED thanks but no thanks.

Hands down best BBQ in the Lehigh Valley. Smoky and tender and juicy. The cheese andouille sausage is fantastic, as are the smoked + fried wings and the baby back ribs. Be sure to catch burnt end night (Thursday, maybe?) but skip the regular brisket - tried it a couple times and it was a bit fatty. Pulled pork is also solid. Dont miss out of the numerous sides too - the warm German potato salad is particularly fantastic. Dont miss out of the pale lager, which is a great light accompaniment to the heavier food. Ambiance is worth the trip alone - the old farmhouse is dripping with character, with the distinct feeling of an old German beer hall. Probably great around Christmas time.

We have been going there since its long awaited opening, and LOVE it! The classy, relaxed atmosphere inside this restored, historic building is welcome and a hint of the attentiveness to the menu offerings! Great drinks, excellent atmosphere with fireplace, beautiful carved bar, and wonderful food presented in .a country setting at the base of the Blue Moutain! It is well worth the country drive!

Dont let the hotel me fool you. This is one of the best meals weve ever had. Weve always tried places down in town but in the search to always try new places we decided to try the place a few miles from the house. It was a nice, relaxed atmosphere with stellar service. The food was amazing. Everything was top notch and a great value too! We will definitely be back.

Excellent food here! Weve visited several times and have never been disappointed once. Their smoked food is absolutely delicious (if they have the brisket burnt ends, get them!) and theres usually a very nice selection of beers on tap. Wonderful wait staff and the owners are usually there as hosts. Dont let the outside fool you, this place is worthy of 5 stars!

WHAAAAAAAAT? THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Party in your mouth. Go eat there. Like now. The ribs are TO DIE FOR. . .The mac and cheese, the drinks, the soup, omgosh. It was amazing! Random in-the-country location. Worth the beautiful, scenic drive out there! Make reservations though for a weekend! Gets packed!

We were there for St Patties Day, had the Irish Nachos (special for that day only). It was the best! Last night I took my sweetie on a date, to P.P.H. The reason for only 4 star? My baked potato wasnt hot enough to melt butter. I will go back though, these things shouldnt happen though.

The food was great, the service terrific, the decor homey. The owner was friendly and helpful, then found out he smokes all the meat, which is delicious. All in all a great experience and we will be back.

This restaurant has its own smokehouse so the beef is excellent. Sometimes the sides can be a little bland but the main courses usually make up for it. Good food at reasonable prices.
