My husband and I went here a few weeks ago for a nice date-night. We go to restaurants regularly and are always looking for our next favorite. We heard good things about The Cafe, so we tried it out. The service was slow and the food was mediocre, at best. My meal tasted like something I could get at the local all-you-can-eat thai buffet. It was a special for the evening, and the fish was so dry that I couldnt eat it. I took about 3 bites. When the server returned, I told her that it was not good, and she apologized and removed it, but did not remove it from our bill. Instead we were offered a few free cookies and tarts. VERY disappointed.

Well to come here you definitely need reservations. I ordered the Pork Panang Curry, it was served over white rice. The curry wasnt too strong but added great flavor to the dish. It wasnt too spicy but had a very minuscule kick. The desserts were amazing to look at. A whole variety of French cakes. I ordered a coconut cream white cake. It was a unique textured cake with sweet but not heavy icing. Perfect amount of coconut shavings pressed against the icing. I devoured the cake so quickly I could not get an image.

The food is absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. My favorite is the pad Thai. The homemade desserts are so good its difficult what to select. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Since the cafe is in an former home (mansion), it has a very warm and cozy feel regardless of the room you are seated in. The only reason that I didnt give 5 stars is because it could use a little more TLC to return it to the pristine original condition. But regardless, its still beautiful.

One of the best meals weve had in a while. From the appetizers through the desserts, we were all very satisfied and enjoyed our meals. Staff was warm and friendly, and we werent rushed. I cant wait to go back and try more on the menu.
