This is pretty much your run of the mill take out Chinese place. The quality is good for its category, but I wouldnt expect Gordon Ramsay to be caught having a bite here any time soon. The "decor" rating doesnt really apply - this isnt someplace you go to sit down and eat. The people who run the place are very nice and the delivery is timely. There are a few vegetarian options (though you never know what they mean by that at a restaurant - I couldnt say for certain that there isnt an animal in the sauce or broth) and they are willing to be flexible with the menu.

I ordered delivery so I cant comment on the decor. The delivery was much faster than they quoted. The lunch menu portions were HUGE and I found them very tasty. I liked that the wonton soup had the sliced scallions and sliced pork in the broth, and the shrimp that came in my lunch meal were gigantic. My friend got pork egg foo young and it was amazing...lots of vegetables and pork; much better than any take out Ive had before. I thought it was a very good value and I will order from them again.

I dont like their fried dummplings becouse the breading was too thick. Chicken on a stick was tasty. Fried rice was just how i like it. Sesame chicken was a little dry inside, but the sauce was delicious and it had a nice and crispy breading. Egg rolls were perfect. Chicken and broccoli was good. The building was very very messy.

While this takeout place advertises as "eat in or take out", and it has tables and chairs, you cant really eat there. We tried, and brought a bottle of wine for our first (and last) visit, but they dont have glasses or plates or tableware. The food, which we brought home, was barely adequate.

This is THE best Chinese restaurant in the area - HANDS DOWN! My family has been ordering from this location for 20 years and have NEVER had any bad food or bad digestion issues. We have moved several times and go out of our way to only order from the New China Star. LOVE this place :)

Been ordering from here for the past 15 years and it has been consistently excellent. For pickup it never takes more than 10 min usually, 15 tops and delivery is very fast as well. Best place in the area in my opinion.
