The young man bussing tables and filing water glasses peeked at my plate and groaned. I had asked him several questions about the Camerones de el Diablo, a dish he admitted was his personal favorite. In the end, I opted instead for the Chimichanga. I wasnt sorry. The shredded beef, both in it and my ladys enchilada, was amazing - juicy and flavorful. The interest the young man showed in my meal was indicative of the friendly and personal service we received from the whole staff - the host, the waitress, this young man with the water pitcher. Ill add the cook, too, as the food was on our table so fast youd think he was psychic. "Next time," I promised the waterbarer, "Ill try the shrimp!"

This place has been a consistent eating destination for many who are from or who still have family in the Thurston area. There is not a lot of restaurants so close to here, so its fortunate that the one that is has been a over-average Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere feels authentic and the food is always delicious. Its a bit crammed for space, but its never been a huge problem (only when there are more than 8 or so to a group). The prices could be higher considering its location and the demand, but they dont overdue it and thats appreciated. If you enjoy Mexican food, check this place out. Especially if you are near the Thurston area.

We have dined at Toreros many times, it is always a pleasant experience, we have gone many times in large parties 12-14 people and have been greeted with a smile and quick service. The food is excellent and I love the Marisco style, best pico de gallo in town. My daughter used to order beans, rice and tortilla when she was little, never a problem ordering off menu, reasonable prices. Family atmosphere, neighborhood restaurant. Very clean establishment! quick service! and must for anyone wanting a evening out with good food!

I would love to give 5 stars but they never give us water when we get there NEVER! They serve great chips with hot salsa which is good and hot and crunchy chips with hot salsa which is also spicy and pretty tasty and hot and no water even after we ask then are meal comes and sometimes the water with it....and then you chug heck out of it and you need more and it takes another 10 to 15 minutes to get more water to quench the hot salsa. Water is important when eating chips and salsa.

Somewhat pricey for "hole in the wall" Mexican, but generous portions and great flavor make up for it. Not particularly fast, but you could tell the food is made with care. A really nice spread of menu options. Chips were warm, light, fresh, and crisp. Salsa and pico were good, guac was subpar. Would come again.

We had a baby shower for my granddaughter and we had 19 people in our party. The servers handled everything with ease and were very kind when we asked for anything. The food was awesome!!! I would highly recommend them to any one!! Thank you for making us feel at home.

We had the carne asada burrito and to be fair the steak was very tender and good, but there was Zero flavor in the burrito. Chips were crunchy and good, pico de gallo tasted like it was 2 to 3 days old. The salsa didnt have much flavor or spice to it.

AMAZING. For having just a storefront building, Toreros completely gave me an authentic Mexican restaurant atmosphere. Service, food, and drinks were above competitors in the Eugene/Springfield area. Highly recommend.

Everytime we come we are instantly greeted by staff, we are served our water, chips and salsa. We bring our family and our grandbabies. The staff acts as if we are long time friends or family! We will never stray.
