Ive been coming here for years, and I keep hoping it will eventually get better. First off let me say in the positive their prices are fair for what youre getting and the food is usually pretty tasty. The staff generally have a pleasant demeanor when interacting with their tables. Im not sure if it is a family run business, because it feels like the employees dont care at all about the quality of work they are performing. Last night was another gem that resulted in myself and a friend in an irritated mood, and we were tempted to not leave a tip at all - the reason we left anything was that our waitress was nice. However nice doesnt make up for being that untrained on how to do a job properly. We waited "in a mostly empty restaurant I might add" an obsene amout of time to get served... our bread came... wed ordered soup instead of salad - which should have been served with our bread, instead we had waited so long that our bread was gone before getting our soup. Not only that but we could see wait staff standing around talking to each other not tending to their tables. I hope that the owners might take into account that their patrons are going to dwindle the more they neglect the state of things. I dont think Ill be returning, unless I hear of a major change in the way things are run.

We take our 4 young grandsons here and its fine for them. This is not fancy dining. They absolutely NEED to update the furniture. Its beyond shabby and grossly uncomfortable. Some tables are so wobbly that you spill your beverages. The food is OK and its a good price for a family. Portion sizes vary. So does service. The bread is very good--hot and plenty of it. The salad generally is good and fresh. Pasta is OK. Dessert is included in the price of dinner, which is great for kids. OSW is a unique eatery for Salem. This could be a good restaurant with some better management and some "professional" level training for the staff. Right now, however, the vibe is like a sorority house that is running a fundraiser. Sometimes its hard to tell who actually is in charge, who greets, who seats, who serves who runs the cash register. It seems to be a collective effort and some of the jobs get overlooked. I hope they read this a take it as constructive criticism and work to remedy some things.

Disappointing. Our family went there Sunday evening December 6th. There were 10 of us, to celebrate 4 birthdays. First, they couldnt sell wine, their liquor license had expired, the coffee machine was broken, so no coffee. Our server acted as though he had something far better to do than wait on our table. He was pleasant though, brought our bread, we had to ask for bread plates. Finally got our dinner, and all of our dinners were either luke warm, or cold. Had to use the facilities, and when walking by the kitchen area, could hear plenty of jovial chatter, while tubs of dirty dishes were on the floor. The bathroom also looked as though it could use a good cleaning. We have been coming here for years, and was very disappointed. Is there a manager anymore? Now one more thing,, called their number at 7:25 pm on Monday evening, got the answering machine that says to call during business hours " if you want to talk to a real person" I think theyre doomed.

I have eaten here several times. This time was by far the worst. I didnt bother reading reviews until after we sat down to eat. I try not to give much weight to bad reviews because people complain too much, but damn. Food was bland. Tasted like it came out of a can ( wouldnt be surprised if it did) our server pretty much ignored us the entire time and then left work without saying anything to us so we didnt even have a server for a while. No offers for more water or bread the entire time. And when we got our dessert, we were all brought one kind of ice cream and then told that they didnt have any other kind of ice cream ( then overheard the waitress offer someone else vanilla) no offer to change it to a different dessert. Sadly to say, this place wont be here much longer if they do business like this. Look elsewhere if you want something better than spaghetti Os and crappy service.

So shocked! The hostess seemed nice but I couldnt get over her attire. She wore a sheer white backless top over her blue bra. how do I know? Because I could see ALL of her bra. I mean in the front it was partially covered with sheer material but not at all in the back. I thought it was a family restaurant not a strip club. Very Disappointed. I dont know if the food was lackluster because I was so offended already or if it really was that meh. Seems like they are going out of business anyway there was a sign at the door about moving to a new venture and the restaurant would only be open for reduced hours. Probably should have saved my breath but it really was not ok to be undressed in public.

Food is delicious for my desires, tangy oregano tomato sauce. The customer service is not even human. I use a wheelchair to sit and eat at the table, my chair needs a little foot room so center support ables dont work well. Each time we patronize and explain, we are explicitly denied a larger table or rear room seating. When very busy with patrons, I might see their point. Otherwise I dont understand except disabilities might make other customers uncomfortable. It is ashame, especially since I enjoy their food so! We are getting ready to go out for Italian, my wifes fathers 99th birthday-Pete-, but my stomach gets anxious and sore... I so enjoy their food. bc

Before they moved their location the service was good. Now that they moved some of their new workers are rude, they laugh at you when you tell them that your order was wrong. Last 3 times I went there food took forever to get to me, estimated time was a 10-15 minute wait each time, however once it took 50 mins, 30 mins, and 30mins again. They never make up for their mistakes anymore, so before the move: Food was always served within their estimated time and they hardly got it wrong, and if they did they made it up to you that night or the next visit. Was a loyal customer for 5+ years.

My family and I have been here many times. I do like the environment, and the bread is good. However, I personally dont care for most of the other food there. The spaghetti sauces never taste right. I ordered a calzone, and was given a vegetarian calzone instead. Not the worst thing that could happen, but it tasted strange. Another time, our waitress was drunk. She was leaning on our table, and almost spilling things. She flat out told us that she had been drinking in the back room on her shift. I do personally like the spumoni that you can get as a dessert.

The menu was very confusing as to what was Dinner and what was A La Carte. When asked if the pasta was made fresh, the response was "We cook it to order", which did not answer my question. I soon got my answer, and it was no. The pasta tasted like it was made, the frozen, then thawed out per day as needed. I dont think it was a Semolina pasta either as the texture was off. The meal starts off with a bit of French Sourdough, not Italian bread, French wines are served, French desserts. Dont call yourself an Italian Eatery when nothing about you says Italia.
