I have gone to the Sizzle Pie on the Eastside and it has always been good food. Awful service at both but at least the Pizza is heated and not as chewy. I live on the West side so I will occasional get some pizza on this side since it easy not because I like it. The service is the worst I would say in all of portland. They counter workers never seemed to learn anything about politeness or for that matter customer service since they snap and act as if they have somewhere better to be then trying to help you while they work. The pizza is almost always cold here and they seem to run out of a lot of items often. I wont be visiting Sizzle Pie again on either said because of this and I will be sure to tell anyone and everyone I see.

My sons and I were served pizza so greasy that we were ill from it. The tables were filthy. Customers came and went and nobody cleaned the tables off at all. I know this is a put your own dishes away kind of place but they could at least come out and spray down the tables every now and then. No employees were paying attention to the eating area at all. Every other customer around us were equally unempressed with the super soaked greasy pizza and lack of a clean place to eat. Bad day Sizzle pie? I didnt think you could screw up pizza that badly.

Im a Pizza lover, and the salty cardboard I just tried was not pizza. Ive had sizzle pie before when a friend brought one over, but it was not the same when I took my family to the west Burnside location. If you want the best slice in the metro area, go to Flying Pie in Lake Oswego. I couldnt even add toppings as they have a one topping limit! If I wanted an experience like this, Id take my kids to goodwill, buy a used microwave, and cook ramen without water and eat it! The extra star was for being friendly, and because I was hungry.

Last nights soft opening was a real treat. From what Im told, Roccos needed to die and thankfully, Sizzle Pie is there to takeover. Located right across from Powells Bookstore, it will be generating a lot of traffic. The place was so clean it almost didnt feel like a Pizza joint. The display was nicely lit up to showcase the extremely large pizzas. One slice barely fit on the plate itself. The beer selection was decent. I got the Blonde Maui which went great with my Broccoli + Beef pizza. Great service and cute girls working there.

OK Pizzas...horrible service. I walk in the shop in the middle of the day and there are 5 people in front of me in the line. Then the Cashier work so slowly that I stand in like for 20 minutes just to order two pepperoni slices (because that is their only meat option). But then what really pissed me off was that after I order two slices and I see them there in the heater...i still stand there waiting for 15 minutes more...just to get two slices from the heater, they could have made a whole new one in that time...

This is my favorite of the Sizzle Pie locations. The pizza is really good, the views from the restaurant to Powells is an iconic Portland scene, and the service is great. Great beer options on the cheap and in the middle for can and draft. There are vegan and vegetarian pizza options, and they dont fail to wow. When I am guiding tours downtown, this is a frequent lunch spot for me between groups. Its great for a quick, no fuss bite that wont empty your wallet and will leave you satisfied.

Great place for pizza! For that alone they deserve 5 stars any day but I have to knock them one because the seating is awful. There is room for more tables and they could rearrange the current to maximize capacity potential. Please reconsider your seating situation! For now, be prepared to have nowhere to sit and eat your pizza during busy times. Also, be prepared for inconsiderate costumers remaining in their seats beyond finishing their meal. Some city folk can be little airheads.

I really really love this place because they make very good pizza and I dont feel disgusting because its not greasy or just stuffed with bread. The only downside is that wait times can be ridiculous and being from NY, waiting 25 for a slice would mean the end of business, but that doesnt take away from the fact they make good stuff here, just the waiting sucks. If you got places to be or a meeting, you might want to look else where or you might be missing your appointment.

Best pizza in Portland. You might wait in line for a bit, but its worth it to enjoy a slice from the nine pies they keep on rotation (3 vegan, 3 vegetarian, 3 meat). Its so rare to find vegan slices, let alone three to choose from! Their beer selection is not too shabby, but if you want to drink, you can head to the quality bar next door and still have the entire pizza menu available to you. Their gluten-free pizza is also one of the better ones in town.

We tried to order two nights in a row for delivery. Night one we waited 1 and a half hours and called to see where the pizza was. It was "on its way", then the driver apparently "forgot the pizza". We ended up never getting a pizza. Night two we tried again (for who knows why) and after an hour and a half we called back and it was once again "on its way". WE WERE 4 BLOCKS FROM THE PIZZA PLACE. We still cant figure out what is happening.

The pizza at Sizzle Pie has become somewhat greasy in recent months. The service is poor, theyve messed up my order on numerous occasions (this is why people shouldnt tip until theyve received service). With the number of homeless people around Portland I was also very sad to see pizzas been taken off the counter and thrown in the trash after being replaced with a new pie. Human orientated you are not, and I wont eat there any more.

A a popular place for a restaurant that had mediocre pizza. Bread sticks werent that great, kinda chewy.. Pizza had hardly any toppings. Its not sizzle pies entire fault but they shouldnt hire people who skimp on toppings in the least. The cashier staff was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was great. Maybe next time things will be better. Some people have off days, it couldve been tonight for all I know.

The owner of this place got really high on speed when I worked here, he called and I picked up the phone and he pretty much went on a drug fueled diatribe about how bad I answered the phone and also how he owns "all of downtown and has lots of money" then I got fired. Really good pizza though, cool employees, go here for a fresh slice of pizza pie. Hot pizza, fresh out of the oven, fresh into your world.

Sizzle Pie has arguably some of the best pizza in Portland, and vegan and vegetarian options that go beyond the basic. This location generally has twice the as many vegan options as meat. Slices are $3.50-$4.00 and cuts (half a slice) are $1.75-$2.00. Draft beers are $5 and they also have salads and dessert. The employees are friendly and the lines are usually out the door. VERY limited seating.
