We go here, or pick-up, a lot. A LOT. Its a family crowd pleaser, so,... A LOT. Usually when we go to some restaurant many, many times, we see service or food quality fall apart and we get tired of going there. While there have been a couple of minor blips (and remember, we have a large sample size to draw conclusions from here...) its been reliable and the service is responsive and friendly. Best: Pizza. My favorite in Tacoma. All Meat is a favorite, and Northwest Special is my personal favorite. We like the crust. Its kneaded enough to have a nice chewy texture. The baking time it just right. They have multiple base choices and we appreciate that. Ive ordered the gluten free crust for a work potluck once and the gluten-free colleague remarked that it was one of the best shes tasted. Calzones are good too. Large, stuffed. The Greek has lots of whole, pitted, kalamata olives in it, so if you REALLY like olives, its great. If you only tolerate olives you might hate this calzone. Salads: I am not sure what salads some people are referring to. I get meal-sized salads, the Greek: Good. I am not sure what some people are expecting? A lamb shank with it and men dancing in traditional costume?? Its large and has plenty of pepperocini, feta, two kinds of olives, romaine, tomatoes,... $9-$10? The Salmon salad is pretty nice. Generally the salmon filet is on the rarer side, which I like. Once and only once it was too overcooked for me. At $10 or $11 I consider this to be a reasonably priced, large, salmon salad. As for atmosphere, I find it comfortable enough. Its not "fancy" but neither are the prices. I like when the gas fireplace is on.They have the TVs on sometimes and I am not really a fan of that. We asked them to change the channel once because the show wasnt really something we wanted our kids to see and they were quick to respond. Pasta: Havent had a lot of pasta here. Gnocci gorgonzola is good, nice texture and flavor - a repeat order for one of the kids. My biggest complaint is that wine pours have been inconsistent. Once I got about an ounce, ounce and a half? I ordered a second one, same thing. Ever since then Ive had good generous pours, though, consistently.

So so. Came in on Sunday during dinner hours, the place was not very busy, or not busy at all, Two other tables occupied. As we came in a server greeted us and told us we can sit anywhere we wanted to. We sat down and were handed a menu with water. The glass was apparently not clean, as I found something green inside, a very tiny piece of what looked like maybe spinach? There were a lot of different choices. Fiancé ordered ravioli which came with her choice of soup, salad or extra bread. She enjoyed her meal, as she finished both the salad and her ravioli. As for me I ordered prawns fettuccine which also came with soup, salad or extra bread. As I got the salad all it had was ice berg lettuce or something like that, also included couple olives, red cabbage and sprinkled cheddar cheese with the dressing. Salad, was not pleasant at all. 10 min later came the a big plate of prawn fettuccine which contained plenty of good tasting prawns and good amount of sauce. Main dish was good but not the best. Salad was a very bad choice, other people reviewed the salad as bad and i didnt listen, you should. Atmosphere was very dull, half the restaurant was not even in use. The server was pleasant and very nice.

I just have to finally do a review on this place after numerous times from ordering at Monas. So today after spending $100 on a delivery order, we did not get the pizza that we ordered. Two out of the 5 orders were incorrect. My co-worker had ordered a gluten free crust pizza and was charged $18 for a small pizza. I had ordered a pizza and all the items that I requested were missing except one. Basically every time we order from Monas we always have something missing with our order. Last time when we ordered they forgot our marinara sauce. When I called and mentioned it to the gal on the phone (Jessica) she replied "oh yea we got it this time!" and hung up on me! I was still talking to her and was shocked that they didnt try and compensate us with adding an additional marinara to our order. So I or my co-workers will not be spending any more of our dollars at Monas as they have forgotten one too many times and also the customer service is terrible. Every time I complain they never apologize for their mistakes and act like we are just putting them out! I will also be placing a review through urbanspoon and also yelp.

Monas is hands down The Best Lasagna I have ever had in my life. Greek Salad is our family favorite and the ones from Monas are fantastic. Even if you just order 1/2 of a Greek Salad at Monas, it is gigantic, absolutely fresh, arranged artistically, created with love, and the presentation is spectacular; almost too pretty to eat (almost). Even 1/2 salad can be split between two people or saved and consumed the next day. Theyre huge! The service is excellent. Home delivery is available ridiculously cheap and done with grace and courtesy in a speedy manner. We could not be happier or more impressed. Even how they package the foods for delivery is so smart. Instead of styrofoam boxes, the Lasagna is baked in its own foil pan, then sealed tightly with a real lid, and then transported across town in one of those pizza carriers that are insulated so when it arrives it is still blistering hot. Fantastic! Hats off to each person who works for Monas!!!

Just got done with some slices off of a 10" thin crust BBQ chicken from Monas. I received their ad in the mail just this week and thought, lets give it a go. Ive worked for two different pizza chains in the area: Dominos and Papa Johns. Needless to say, this is a craft pizza where the others are just fast junk food. Theyre easily as good as Farrellis and Katie Downs. A 10" specialty pizza was $13, delivered. Insanely good value for the flavor. When I opened the box, it was obvious that the ingredients were fresh. Im going to do a dine-in next time and likely try a calzone. If youre in the area, give em a shot. You will not regret it.

BUGS!! Yesterday... my son, my mother, and I went to this place... I have never seen anything like this happen, we were sitting down at our table in this empty restuarant when cockroaches came running out of my mothers napkin and all over the table. Literally we ran out of the place before they had even served our food. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER again go to a restaurant that doesnt have tons of costumers, because this was obviously the reason that not even one customer was in there! I felt disgusted and still do right now. It was tramatic for all three of us. It was like something from a movie. Do not ever go here!!

Havent had their pizza, but have enjoyed a number of other items from their menu. The food is delicious and well-presented. The service is excellent. Ive ordered delivery from Monas and gotten hot food delivered in a timely fashion. There was one occasion when part of our order was missed. They filled it immediately and returned within 20 minutes with the missing order. The deserts were a bit of a let-down, though. Store quality more than bakery quality items. Regardless, two thumbs up for a good Italian restaurant that delivers.
