Value? Ive been going to this and the Mad Greek Deli since they opened. Im shocked of the portions and the prices. Gyros platter was always my favorite though now the meat is sliced thinner, the salad is tiny and the fries are few. I was hungry two hours later, and I even stopped back by to see if I was over charged by mistake. $36 for two platters a Greek salad and an order of fries, I even tipped $4 which Im sorry to say after getting as little as I did, plus they charge for items to go .25 per container on top of higher prices and smaller portions. Times have changed and I understand all that cause I too own a small food service. We consumers are also getting hit hard every time we turn around, so I will not forget this for some time and may never return.

Love the changes theyve been making here. Its a great neighborhood bar with a good (and continually improving) food menu. My only gripe is with the tap beer selection. I like my porters and stouts. Theyve had a chocolate porter on tap for what seems like a year, but rarely have any other dark beer. Lots of IPAs and an occasional cider. And Coors Light. Atmosphere in the bar is perfectly divey, and the outdoor patio is nice in the summer (though its part of the restaurant, not the bar... So no happy hour outside.) Ive only eaten in the restaurant side once, but it seemed like a great place to bring the whole family. Id give them 5 stars if they had a better tap selection that included a different stout/porter.

I will be coming back! Just moved to the area. This bar is walking distance from my apartment. Ordered a burger, chicken appetizer, and a jack and Coke. The burger was perfectly cooked, the appetizer was as well, and the drinks were top shelf liquor at great prices. FYI, its a Tuesday night, moderate crowd, and service was fast. Edit: came back on a busy Friday night, the service was fast, the food was cooked to order, and the drinks were perfectly mixed. I ordered the jalapeño, and my friend ordered the tri-tip...the jalapeño was great, and my friend said the tri-tip was very good, but VERY smokey. Overall, I will be back again, and Ill recommend them, especially to burger fans! Edit: Rhonda (shes the best)!

You will like this place. You will. Total fun place to hang out at. We enjoyed our time out on the back patio, had a few drinks, ate burgers, fish and pizza, and christened their game of Corn hole! Pool table inside, pub-like setting, plus a dining room. They have a smoker out back that yhey use for their menu, plus a garden that is used for their salads. Check eck it out! Awesome place! Ive lived in Portland since 1990, and this place has been here since then, at least! Its great seeing a local place not succumbing to selling their land to an Albertsons, Starbucks or some such nonsense. We will DEFINITELY be going back!!!

Delightful and unexpected.. Small bar restaurant that was way better than I thought a bar/restaurant could be. The interior is decorated with artifacts from our logging/farming days and is done so tastefully. I had the Steak medallions and my wife had the bacon wrapped steak. We both loved the food. Better yet, they cooked our food how we aksed. Mine was done medium well and the wife was pleased that her steak was cooked medium as requested. I followed up with Lavender Crème brulee. What a treat. Our Server Rowan did a great job... Highly recommend this place...

Ive been intrigued by Rock Creek Corner for many years, but had never made it in until yesterday. We sat in the bar area (not on purpose-we somehow missed the HUGE "Enter" sign by the dining room door), which has a typical tavern bar feel to it. Nevertheless, my burger was delicious and my sisters salad looked good (she said it tasted good too). The service was exceptional! Next time I think well try the dining room side of things!

I Apologize RCCr, But The Union Pub Got My Moola Today. However, I Appreciate Businesses That Have Your Work Ethic Of Cultivating The Grounds. Keeping That Western Front...Perfect For This Areas Historical Review. Before My Time Vanishes In The Wind, I Hope 2 Venture Within And Taste The Love...That Arrested My Nostrils On My "Walk By." Needless 2 Say, Its A Local Promise In The Making!

Burger was very bland, and cooked well done (asked for medium). Fries were ok. Fiancés salad came out with no dressing. Service was very slow. Only about 3 other small parties in here at the same time as us. Took about 10min for our server to acknowledge us after we were seated. Another 10-15 for 1 beer. Overall, not worth coming back. Had high hopes based on previous reviews.

My little dive bar. It takes a minute or five to get food but it is amazing when it arrives! My fave is the bacon wrapped steak tenders . And remember they will serve you anything. .including breakfast w egg n mamosas. They will even split the meal into two and you will be fulfilled. Farah V Favorite restaurants : andina , screen door, laurel Hurst market, taro bravo. . Yummy

Loved it. Amazing, fresh food- we had a wide variety of dishes including pizza, a Ruben, bacon wrapped steak fillets, mac and cheese, and flat bread with feta and fresh basil. It was a very pleasant experience, the food came out quickly, and the chef came to our table to greet us and check that we were happy. Well definitely be going back!

Rock Creek Corner was a very warm and friendly place. Many of the folks inside were regulars that were friendly to me on my first visit. There were several games on the TV to watch. My waitress was nice and gave me quick service. The ale I had was very good as was the burger. I would would highly recommend Rock Creek Corner.

Went for brunch, and food was interesting. I like a good corned beef hash, but this version was more like a Rueben over potatoes with eggs on top. My wifes bacon was overcooked. Overall, good food, but not the best. Wasnt busy for Sunday brunch, but never got a refill on water or coffee. The coffee wasnt that good anyway.

The food was nothing special, though the menu items sound appetizing what shows up leaves a bit to be desired. Staff is perhaps over-attentive yet distracted. We ate in the casual family dining area, which had pleasant decor, perhaps the bar has a different atmosphere, but the dining does not come highly recommended.

Great burgers, great drinks, great service. I will be bringing my work group in for drinks soon. I had an amazing time here. Youll have to try their late night burger. The owner is also super awesome, at least thats who I think he was. Their beef is locally ordered and their prices are awesome.

This place is a local sentimental favorite and so we really wanted to like it. They are very ernest with pasta dishes but nearly every one has been a near miss on three visits. Pizza is uneven these days too. I do love this place for the local vibe but if your priority is not alcohol, give it a skip.

This review is only for the bar side, as I havent visited the restaurant area... Perhaps I should. The bar area is relatively small and the outside patio is even smaller. It can create a cozy feeling but also feel crowded pretty quickly. Otherwise good beer and a good amount of tables and chairs.
