To be able to play pool without smelling your neighbors cigarette is awesome, they have 10 nicely spaced out pool tables each with 2 dining tables to eat or drink with friends, weekly tournaments from 9 ball to 8 ball or even scotch doubles if you like playing with others. The bar is surrounded with flat screen tvs, so you can watch all the games. The only downer, the service is great when you get it, they under staff themselves to often, so order a pitcher to make it easier on them, its hard to complain when you see them work as hard as they do. either way its still my favorite hang out, other than Autzen Stadium " go Ducks "

I go to Jakes every couple months and order the prime rib. Todays prime rib was full of fat and I waited over 20 minutes for my tab and never once got a refill on the tea. When the server asked me how was my meal ( I had my money out in my hand and I guess that was the only way to get service) she didnt wait for me to answer and started talking to another member of the staff. I heard another person complaing about their tip. I gave no tip. You lost my business once before when the server charged me for refills of tea with my meal now I wont be back and you lost a regular customer.

Jakes is a laid back neighborhood bar & grill where you can play pool (as they have many tables) or play the lottery machines up until 2am. They have a large variety menu to choose from until the grill shuts down late in the evening and after that you can always get sandwiches made to order or deep fried food such as chicken strips & french fries. They have a great little bar which serves mixed drinks, beers, wine, pop or even plain ole water. Ive found this a great comfortable place in SE Salem to meet up with friends & family. Its also very easy to find on 12th St. SE.

I attended a tournament at Jakes recently. The experience was great and the food was even better. The hamburger is especially good, best I have had in a long time. They have weekly and monthly tournaments, the next one is on February 28th. $25 and it includes the green fee (no messing with quarters!). This is a A and B only tournament, no masters. The bar adds money, last time was over $500 bucks! Great experience. The next tourney sign up is 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday.

Im headed to Jakes for Pool Tournament this weekend. The last tournament I attended at Jakes was amazing! The place was packed (of coarse!) so service called for a bit of patience, yet the servers had great attitudes inspite the overwhelming demands of the patrons.....food was good and priced affordable for the hungry shooters who invest their $$ in the game!!! Atmosphere is friendly & fun! Looking forward to being back!! Thank You Jakes for hosting!!

I love this place! Pretty mellow and they scratch make almost all their food! They have the from the bag to frier food as well if you have a hankering for tots or wings. Holy wow ribs! Giant servings and great prices

Worst service I have had in Jakes, sat there for 2.5 hrs No one came and even asked if I wanted a drink. Thank goodness a different waitress came on duty and immediately came over to see if we wanted anything.
