I want to start by saying all the folks that give Yummy Bowl less than stellar reviews seem to be from CA or WA. So, this is an OREGON restaurant. If you dont like it, you just climb back in the wagon and head on up (or down) I-5 and go back home. K thanks. Im a Newport transplant from the valley and have never had a bad experience here over the last several months, which includes about 5 visits. YES you do get a lot of food. That doesnt mean quantity over quality. Everything I have ate is really good. YES there was corn in the egg flower soup. A little odd, but thats ok. ALWAYS courteous and helpful service, even those that speak English as a second language. The USA is a melting pot. Get used to it. PRICES are very reasonable. I would encourage coming here over Lees Wok time and time again. I have no idea if there is a Pokestop here. Why dont we disconnect from the cell phones, and have a nice family meal by eating and talking and stuff? I plan to return here many times :)

My fiance and I came up to Newport for a little mini vacation. We are staying at the Shiloh Inn. When we checked in the restaurant wasnt yet open so I looked up restaurants in the area who deliver. This one came up with FIVE STARS. Im not sure who is posting these reviews...but they are so wrong. I get the feeling they may be friends or relatives. Our order came after 35 minutes (she said it would be 10, which I did think was pretty fast) and what came was HORRIBLE..INEDIBLE. We have had teriyaki many, many times, but this was the worst we have ever had. What really stung was that it cost us $27. Sorry if I offend anyone for being real, but this is the kind of review I WISH I would see before I go and spend hard earned money. BTW...I gave it one star because you cant post unless you give it at least one...otherwise, I wouldnt have given it any.

We called to have food delivered. It was a Saturday night around 7:00 We fully expected they would be busy, so it was a surprise when the guy that took our order quoted thirty to forty minutes. It was almost exactly a half an hour when the driver showed. Our order was hot and the containers big. Sweet and Sour Pork, Egg Foo Young (best sauce / gravy ever!)) and Beef and Broccoli were all as good as any Ive had. They came with two big containers of rice, plus the usual packs of soy sauce and fortune cookies. The next time we order Ill ask for some vegetables in the Sweet and Sour Pork (carrot, bell pepper, onion) and extra broccoli in the Beef and Broccoli. Id also order less; the Egg Foo Young was enough to feed three. Yummy Bowl is the best of the three Chinese places in Newport, IMO.

The wait was absurdly long after the cashier let another customer cut in front of us just because he had called ahead for his order. After being told it would only take 10 minutes and had to end up waiting at least twice that. We were given our to go order in a extremely flimsy and horribly tied plastic bag. Which almost dumped all our food out on the way home. I ordered the Kung pao chicken which was filled with mostly vegetables and hardly any chicken. Speaking of the chicken, it was thin and chewy. Disgusting. The pork fried rice was extremely brown but average. Would not recommend.

Surprisingly good (compared to all of the chinese restaurants in the SF Bay Area). Theres a small casino room on the side. They have a section of chashu based pork dishes. I found it to be a little leaner and a little drier than traditional chinese fare, but in the end its a bit healthier so its probably good. Mostly americanized chinese food here other than that. Seemed to have a pretty busy weekday evening when I stopped in for takeout.

Great Egg Drop soup, if you like it on the sweeter side as I do. The waitress was very friendly & attentive. The weekday lunch specials we had were good and very generous portions. Its great you can select how hot the spicy dishes are. They need to update the menu on their website to show current pricing. The recent remodeling looks very nice.

Bar none worst Chinese I have ever had. The food was terrible and on top of that we got to listen to the guy and gal at the counter arguing back and forth. Very unpleasant. Wont return and will tell anyone that asks not to go there. They should refund our cost for the meal me couldnt even stomach to eat.

Order the B3 combo everything is very very good, waitress was very polite and attentive. Would definitely give these guys a chance I am actually from Stockton California and Im here on business so I decided to try these guys. Was not disappointed at all and I will come back if Im here in the area again.

Not so yummy. Worst "Chinese " food Ive had... Ive never seen brown pork fried rice before, the crab puffs? Umm chewy and the ck chow mein was aweful. The gal taking my order was not friendly - she never smiled or said thank you. I left a tip and it was a to go order!! Wont be back to yucky bowl!!

so glad we decided to check out this little hole in the wall restaurant! Food was incredibly fast and the almond chicken was perfectly cooked. My mom couldnt stop raving about it afterwards! Service was good, atmosphere was pleasant. Well have to come back next time were in the area

We went in for lunch, and everything was super ridiculously affordable for the portion and variety. Selection is huge. The people who work there are super kind. They even gave us a jump when the car didnt start. Would say this is by far the best chinese ive had living in oregon.

Standard american chinese menu prepared well with generous portions of everything but rice. (Rice portion was o bit low, had to order more to finish the rest of my plate). Service left a bit to be desired. Its not like the waitress was taking care of anyone else.

Sucks doors hard to open dude was rude n took forever 4 water all i have is complaints bc of customer service. If your a tourist like we were this was time comsuming even when no ones here. The rest of our trip was awesome though.

Very picky about chinese and this is up there as some of the best. Very clean geat prices big portions. I highly recommend and will be back each time we come to newport. A pleasent suprise!

The absolute worst food ever!! Tastes horrible and made my family sick. Eating here ruined our trip. Please dont waste your money eating here. Youll be better off eating at McDonalds.

I love Chinese food! This place was not good at all. 5 of my family ate there and none of us was excited about the food. The waitress we had was good, but we would not go back.
