What happened?? We used to LOVE China Blue but ever since the gambling machines were put in the service went down hill. The food was always great and the male manager who used to great people was hilarious and friendly. Where did he go? And why was he replaced with a mean lady who tries to over charge us consistantly. Went last Sunday with our Buy $15 and receive One Free Meal coupon and the lady tried to tell us that the coupon can only be used on the lowest price item we ordered. Which in this case was an order of rice. Even though the coupon plainly states One Free Meal we were told no and that it could only be used for the lowest price item we ordered. We said ok and ordered our food to go. When it was ready she came out while talking on the phone and thrust the bags to us without and type of thanks. We said thank you, expecting some sort of reply, but she ignored us and walked away still talking on the phone. The people waiting to be seated noticed at that point and agreed that things have changed. Please bring back the friendly service and the people who were running the restaurant before who didnt try to always overcharge us. I miss the old China Blue.

Was just there for lunch today. Last time I went, the place was under different management, still had the grumpy waitress, etc....and the food was not very good. Am happy to say I now have a much better opinion of the place. Had one of the lunch combos, with General Tsos chicken and Sweet and Sour pork, with fried rice and hot and sour soup. The General Tsos was worlds better than it used to be. Good, crispy breading, and an absolutely wonderful dark sauce...extremely tasty!! The S&S pork had a nice, light, crispy breading...with a really good and tasty sauce with lots of pineapple in it. The fried rice was a very light, sticky rice style with lots of egg....good for soaking up the sauces. The hot and sour soup was also very tasty and piping hot(temperature). Portion size was very healthy(I probably could have taken a small bit home had it not been so tasty), and all for just $9. Excellent deal! Corvallis is not known for a good selection of Chinese dining, but my lunch today at China Blue was very encouraging. I will definitely go back to try some different dishes. Really good meal, today, imo.

This is my partner and my favorite chinese food restaurant in the Northwest, and very near EVER. The food is fantastic and the service is amazing. The man who runs China Blue is so personable and makes me laugh every time we come in. The lunch specials are amazingly affordable, and the dinner isnt too bad either. I literally get cravings for their garlic pork and general chicken! The only downsides are: 1) the basic fried rice isnt stellar, and 2) its located next to an Adult Shop, making it an awkward place to take children. But as a good stop for food for hungry adults? Its the closest thing I can find to perfect!

The owner makes you feel like a devoted customer. The service is great, and the menu is vastly extensive. They should be listed on the magic cow, as they have vegitarian and vegan dishes. They have the fake meat dishes, but they also have seaweed, and other real vegan dishes. The portions are great, and the food is good. As in all chinese foods the cooking styles are different from the various provinces of china, and also, distinct differences from East coast USA, and West coast USA. So it is always possible to get a dish that does not excite you, but with this extensive menu, you can not go wrong!

Great place for ice cream. My admin, who is French, suggested this spot, so I had to check it out. We got the salted caramel and grapefruit flavors, and both were delicious. The grapefruit is a sorbet, and my fave was the salted caramel. So good. There are a bunch of restaurants in the area that sell Berthillon ice cream, but I wanted to go to the actual shop. A great place to stop by for ice cream. Its not too far from Notre Dame, so definitely make a slight detour if you can!

Used to be amazing. ... but the new owners???? It went down hill fast. The whole feel is gone, they tried to keep the same menu, with some changes. But come on! Mexicans trying to make Chinese food?? They have added jalapenos and tortillas to dishes!! The hazelnut chicken doesnt even taste the same. So sad, this used to be the best place to get Chinese.

Just ate here. Theres SO many options, great vegetarian selection. Very decent prices considering you get a ton of food. So come really hungry, or be ready to take a lot home. Service was friendly too. Definitely some of the best Chinese food Ive ever had. One of Corvalliss most underrated restaurants.

I quite often go for the dollar rice on Tuesdays, cant beat dollar rice! LOVE the hazelnut chicken! best dish ever! Im not giving this 5 stars though because of the grumpy old lady that works there is always rude and kinda throws the food at you and doesnt say anything. Wheres the funny guy at?!

This is the best Chinese food in Oregon we have ever tried. The manager is very friendly n so is the rest of the staff. They r funny n friendly. The pork fried rice is the best I have ever had n so is there chicken trio. The hazelnut chicken is very very good also. Highly recommended

The Hazelnut Chicken is what this place is all about. Its a dish unlike any dish I have tried before. The high energy and fast service really makes this place worth while. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in the business. I would recommend China Blue to anyone.

Used to be great, seems to have had a drastic change lately, started forgetting stuff in orders, blatantly messing up orders, turned a pure vegetable and tofu meal into chicken and then had to call 3 times and argue to get a refund. Definitely not an enjoyable experience

China Blue is a mainstay for my friends in Corvallis, so we go every time I visit. Its always good, and the price/portion ratio is about right. Plan to take half home, or youll eat the whole plate before you realize whats happened, and youll be entirely too full.

The worst food Ive eaten out in a long, long time. The prices they charged for such poor quality were outrageous. I could pay the same amount at Evergreen (Indian), China Buffet, Cha Da (Thai)...some of the better restaurants in the area. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered Orange Chicken, General Tsos Chicken and crab rangoon. Cons: No Vegetables, expensive, Fried rice had no color or flavor, unappetizing look, no crab in the rangoon only sour cream, not a lot of flavor Pros: Quick service, chicken was quality.

Hands down favorite chinese food in Corvallis. The portions are very large, every menu entry has a vegetarian option, and plenty of all-protein options on the menu for carnivores like me. The owner is very friendly, too!

China Blue is the meaning of life; what it means to be alive. I often travel to Corvallis from California and Boston to visit best friends from back in the day. And one of those friends is China Blues Hazelnut Chicken
