This place gets 4 stars instead of 3 simply because the value and service are always excellent. $5.50 for a lunch that will almost always leave you with leftovers is a great deal for those on a budget. Food quality is mediocre so far in the dishes I tried. The shrimp egg rolls were excellent. The fried rice was great. The stir fry however was a little lacking. I have had the Beef Broccoli and the Chicken with vegetables and both were more stewed than stir fried. It seems as though they just throw everything on a lower heated wok and cover rather than a high heat traditional flash fry. This leads to more soggy veggies rather than crisp. Flavor is OK and to be honest well worth the money. Dont expect too much but know you will get your $6 worth.

Out of the blue decided to try this place since we have never been. Ordered one of the family meals and was served: cold wonton soup which had good flavor; great egg rolls, twice fried shrimp that were so saturated in oil because they had been fried once, stored than fried again so gross. Then came the entrees: Pork fried rice was disgusting you could tell it was cooked, then stored a few times. Got a couple of pieces of pork that were black and solid. The Sweet & Sour Pork was hot fresh and delicious, same with the Broccoli Beef. Maybe this was an off night? Even the server seemed very displeased. My stomach after eating here turned inside out... The price is attractive but I am not sure I will ever be returning to this nicely placed restaurant.

I wont go again. I got spoiled old chow mein. Poor service from the wait staff. Here is my previous review: You need to know what to order here. Its really best to have a special fave dish. For instance, I always get the Crab Rangoon, War Won Ton soup and Walnut Prawns. Steamed rice here is better than fried rice, cause their rice is really pretty bad, as is the chow mien or chow fun. I am from San Francisco and the Bay Area and nothing Ive tried in Corvallis is really up to my standards to be honest. Everything is mediocre, youre better off learning to cook on your own. But in the meantime, the above listed dishes are pretty fair.

The positive reviews are completely wrong. This was a very poor quality restaurant. Most of the food had obviously been frozen for a long time. Even simple dishes like egg flower soup and fried rice tasted bad. The egg flower had chunks of cheap chicken in them, think campbells chicken noodle. Fried rice had your typical frozen cubed carrots and peas. After our dinner both mine and my dates stomachs hurt. The food was way too salty. Do not go to this restaurant!

This is some of the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I got combo number 3 and it came with pork low mein, sweet and sour chicken, pot stickers, and BBQ pork. The lo mein is actually flavorless, the sweet and sour chicken taste like a McDonalds chicken nugget dipped in sweet and sour sauce, the pot sticks are covered in oil and have little to no flavor, and the BBQ pork was as hard as rocks. I will not be returning to this place due to the poor food.

I eat here fairly regularly. Its your basic hometown Chinese restaurant. Good, but nothing unusual. The waitress / hostess is the best part. Shes a lovely lady and she is very good at remembering faces and favorite orders. Also, their eggflower soup is better than average.

Lower end generic chinese restaurant. It is edible, and I didnt grimace with each bite, but it wasnt tasty. Certainly not worth the $10 I paid for my meal; might have been worth it if I paid $3. I wont go back on my own, but if someone else wanted to go there ... maybe.

Jade Garden is average in my opinion. I have not had a bad experience and have always got good food. If you are looking for some pretty decent Chinese food in Corvallis, Jade Garden is definitely worth a shot. Not the best, but not by far the worst.

You get a soup and some dry chowmein when you have lunch over there. The dinner price is a bit more pricy than lunch but you have more food to choke on. I recommend non-vege Mapo Tofu as my personal favorite.
