A long time customer, from when I was a child with the parents, in High School with the hooligans, and up until recently with friends, family, or for the occasional dinner with a lady. But a customer I will be no more. I have now twice run into this same situation when going for lunch, both times with a friend or two. Both times we have been there in the neighborhood of fifteen minutes BEFORE lunch is supposed to be over (3:00pm). Being seated first takes forever, as they ignore us entering the restaurant for around five minutes (They are usually incredibly prompt, as far back as I can remember). The first time this happened, we were denied lunch menu prices all together, when the waitress came to our table over FIFTEEN minutes after we arrived, of course this put it just after 3:00pm... We let it go. The last time, our order was taken still prior to 3:00pm, but upon the return of the waitress, I was brought the lunch menu item I had requested, and my friend was brought a dinner menu item, not in the least the item he had requested off of the LUNCH menu. She basically tried to tell us that it had slipped past the designated lunch cut-off time while our order was being cooked, and my friend had to have the dinner menu item with the corresponding number. This was almost unbelievable. After a short conversation about how disappointed we were with the employee, we left the restaurant. That is the last time we will likely ever return.

How are they still in business? Last time I went I spotted a number of health violations such as changing the channel with the discussing remote and then dragging a cup through ice and serving it without ever washing. I didnt drink the water served to me but still walked away with food poisoning. I will never eat there again and the food was discussing. If you think this food is good you have never had good Chinese. But if youre looking to ingest garbage and contaminated food this is the place to go. The best Chinese food I have ever had is Hong Kong 97 on McLaughlin. Their orange chicken is to die for. Overall one start for lucky fortune due to unsanitary conditions and crappy food. No egg in the egg flour . No crab in the crab puff. No more lucky in this fortune. Youd be lucky to not get sick.

Saying Panda Express isnt as good as this place is a REACH however I LOVE the eggrolls and Kung Pao Chicken. I think they should fry the bbq pork and glaze it instead of giving you dry slices of pork that really have no flavor. I used to work at Panda Express and they dont use plastic bags of stuff like the other reviewer said. Panda uses ALL FRESH ingredients. YOU CAN WATCH THEM COOK IT IN FRONT OF YOU. So whatever the other guy is talking about is NONSENSE. I gave Lucky Fortune 4 stars minus 1 for food quality that could use some improvement but overall its not too bad for a hole in the wall outfit in Newberg. ;)

Its your local Chinese food place. You know the kind. It was last updated in the 80s. They serve your favorites. Its a guilty pleasure that you regret late that evening, but yet you want to go back next week. The servers are nice, and if you go in often enough, theyll remember your favorites and preferences. Lots of selection on the menu, and good deals for combination plates. If you have a big crowd, I highly recommend the "family style" dinner "D", as it comes with a bunch of appetizers. We can easily feed 6 people while only ordering for 3.

I come from LA and therefore I have had some great authentic Chinese style food. Therefore in Newberg, OR. I would say there is no authentic Chinese food, it is all "American Chinese food". Lucky Fortune, does have the typical American Chinese food fare, but they also have a special menu where you can order more traditional dishes prepared in a different style. In the city of Newberg there are 6 or so Chinese restaurants. Of them, Lucky Fortune is the best.

They are amazing! Food is superb! I reccommend the #11(General Tsaos chicken), but seriously i have been going there for about 10 years and anything you get will be great. the crab puffs are to die for! anybody who says they dont like it is too used to panda express or pf changs, witch is plastic prepackaged sisco food. yum preservatives! Andy dosent know what he is talking about, he should get bent and stfu!

I have eaten here twice in the last month or so and found the food to be excellent! As some have said the decor is nothing special but I didnt sense any smell of stale smoke. The service for us was prompt. The first time we ate here we used an entertainment book coupon and we liked the food so much that we came back again and paid full price. I think says a lot about a restaurant.

The prices at this restaurant are cheap, and the same can be said about the cleanliness of the restaurant. The Chinese food here is edible, but not particularly my first choice. Since the restaurant converted into a 100% non-smoking establishment, the owners have neglected to re-carpet the place, so the stench of old, cheap cigarettes lingers in the air.

In small town America, your local Chinese isnt going to offer the subtle flavors of 2,000 year-old cooking: Its going to offer big portions of traditional American-style Chinese food. Lucky Fortune in Newberg is usually busy because it does its job well: Tasty familiar dishes like General Tsos Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Lo Mein and pork fried rice.

I LOVE chinese food. Since there are no PF Changs near here, I have tried many other restaurants in the area. This is one so far is the best. I am very picky about my chinese food. So far, everythign we have gotten here is good. I especially recommend (if you like spicy) their Kung Pao Chicken and General Tsos Chicken. Yum!

Love this Classic American-Chinese joint! Th portions were large and the generals tso (sp?) was the best we have ever had anywhere... not coated in thick breading like most, it was amazing. The sauce was outstanding. We got take out and didnt have to wait long at all. We will deffinatly be back :)

My mother, grandmother, and I ate there our first night in town when they were getting ready to leave me at college. The food was the absolute best we had ever eaten! Chinese food is my favorite and it is so important that I like it! I have been craving it for weeks and just need to go have some!

The last time I went I came away with food poisoning. And several times before that I found lipstick on my drinking glass. But that was years ago, I hear theyve really cleaned up and the food and prices are great. The atmosphere is a bit tacky and cliche, but hey, give it a try.

I live in Sherwood and drive to Newberg to pick up food from this restaurant. Prices are good and the quality is better than that of any Chinese food restaurants in Sherwood. I would Highly recommend trying Lucky fortune if you have not already.
