Did not have our reservation. Spilled soup on my sister-in-law, "assumed" we didnt want bread because we ordered bread sticks as an appetizer-we finally got the bread after dinner, did not offer us fresh take home glasses for our Italian cream sodas-I had to ask for them, and nearly forgot to offer us our included desserts-again we had to ask for them. I guess I should not complain, the table next to us got their soups and salads when they were half way through with dinner. It was not busy. I see this as a management failure. The wait staff is poorly trained, and is not aware of the most basic courtesies when stuff goes wrong. E.g., when one spills soup on a customer, it is customary to offer cleaning of the customers cloths and to bring a glass of soda water and clean cloth to help with stain-setting. I know Im a fat pig that needs to cut back on bread products, but I dont need to be reminded of that fact when Im the customer. Please dont assume I dont want the delicious bread that is supposed to come with the meal simply because I gluttonously purchased bread sticks. And spare me the humiliation of having to ask for after you have pointed out my folly. The right thing to do is bring the bread with the meal as stated on the menu. The next least-worst thing to do is ASK if the table would like some bread. The restaurant and the waiter both make more money when the table orders extra food, so its probably not a good idea to embarrass the healthy eater by pointing out how he has already eaten enough. If you want to assume something, assume I want the food for which I paid. That would be a safe assumption. It was disappointing, but not awful, so we will be back assuming thats ok with OSF.

My boyfriend and I went here thinking it was going to be really good, and we were extremely disappointed. The second you walk through the doors it smells bad, kind of like if sour milk smelled musky. The decor and lights were all extremely outdated and made me feel like I was in a bad oldies movie. Everything just felt like it was dirty, but at least the service was friendly. They were pretty quick to get the food out to us, also, but after taking a few bites it was easy to see why. The salads that came with the meals tasted like iceberg lettuce, with a couple peices of romaine to make it look good. I got the chicken parmigiana expecting fresh chicken and a delicious homemade marinara sauce, but it tasted like frozen precooked McDonalds chicken with canned tomatoes on it. The mozzarella was probably the best part of that dish. My boyfriend got the Spinach and cheese Tortellini with Alfredo, and that tasted like it was still half frozen, bland, and the Alfredo sauce came out of a can as well. Knowing this, the 13.50 for my frozen chicken and canned sauce was way too much, and the 12.25 for some frozen tortellini and canned Alfredo was ridiculous. The best part was the ice cream at the end. Nice people, horrible food. Definitely do not reccomend this place until they start making their own food.

Friendly service, (kind of needlessly) fancy setting, good food. Not GREAT by any means, but palatable. Thus the comment about the decor- it appears to be a really high class place, but there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the atmosphere the company has created and the quality of the food. If I have to wear a tie to dinner to not look out of place, the food had better be top notch. Admittedly, Ive only been to this location once- every business has off days- so it could have been a fluke, but my previous visits to the chain have yielded the same impression. Ultimately the test is, "Will I go back?" Yes. At some point I will, and if my experience is not consistent with the tone of this review, I will certainly revise it. Until then however, The Old Spaghetti Factory remains a venue for perhaps a first date where appearances are as important as the nosh. For decadent "rough day at work and I deserve to treat myself" food, Id look elsewhere.

The building is lovely, our experience started out alright as we were seated right away. But the best part of the meal was the cheese bread appetizer we ordered. My boyfriend ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce & sausage while I ordered the meat trio. He had the minestrone soup & I got a salad w/Caesar dressing. The salad was nothing more than bagged iceberg lettuce mix and the dressing was watery and way too much of it. After we were done with the starters it took almost 30 minutes for our meals to arrive. The sauce is heavy on the oregano and the sausage was greasy. The saving grace of it all was there was rainbow sherbet to finish the meal - got rid of the heavy greasy mouth feel. Next time, its Pastini for me, much better food and worth the usual wait for a table. Disappointing birthday dinner for me, as far as the food goes.

If the abysmal experience of having a very meager salad of iceberg lettuce (and literallsy nothing else) brought to my table wasnt bad enough, and the managers impotent "they bring it to us in bags, nothing I can do" wasnt feeble enough, their response to my Facebook review really stole the show. The justification? Its "complimentary." No, it is part of what we pay for, part of the reason you get $12 for a quarters worth of pasta, a mushroom or two and a couple tablespoons of marinara sauce. Never again... and dont waste your time expecting anything more or better from them. Just go elsewhere. For that kind of money there are many better alternatives.

We ordered take out. Nothing we ordered or tried to eat would even justify even 1 star but considering that we brought home what we ordered Im giving them 1. I had the garlic shrimp fettucini and a side salad. My husband the #2 platter. The pasta was clumped together, a small amount of sauce(?) on top and shrimp that had been steamed (I assume), without one ounce of GARLIC or any other seasoning. Salad had to have been a week old from a bag. Corvallis is in need of a few more decent restaurants and we were hoping this being our first visit was going to be positive. We wont be back!

I love this place, the food is amazing. I usually order the garlic mazithra which is basically angel hair pasta, their signature mazithra cheese, mushrooms, bacon, and garlic. They first serve you a warm loaf of sourdough bread which I admit is hard to cut. Then a soup or salad usually with the meal, and dessert which is usually three choices of delicious ice cream. Not a bad deal for my 16 dollar meal. My family goes there for birthdays and it has a nice overlook of the river, the sky lights are also a nice touch. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful restaurant with a great view. Service was amazing and prompt. The baked ravioli was great. The strawberry lemonade was very tasty. The lasagna was probably the best I ever had. The fett with Alfredo was probably the worst I ever had, unfortunately. The noodles were undercooked and the Alfredo was more oil than anything else. Prego from Wal-Mart is better. But, with the amount of food you receive and the level of service they give you, I will be back. I just wont touch the Alfredo with 10 foot pole.
