My wife and I called ahead to verify that they closed at 10pm, and we arrived at 8:45pm to order take-out. Standing 5 feet from the cash register lady, we waited 5 minutes before we were even spoken to while she counted out her register (maybe we should have taken the hint that they were not interested in serving us). Eventually ordered $30 worth of food. Our second warning should have been the fact that the meal took only 5 minutes to prepare. Got home, excited because Id heard good things and the portions were big and the overall review rating was good. We are not rich, but we took a few bites each and promptly walked to the dumpster to throw all of the food out. It was disgusting. My wifes orange chicken had the texture of cardboard. Sadly, we both agreed that her food was better, as my Kung Pao chicken had the texture of Tofu, speaking generously. I literally am not certain what type of meat (?) was in those dishes. The BBQ pork was edible, but only by comparison. To their credit, the plain white rice actually tasted like plain white rice. I normally believe in second chances, and I sincerely hope that this was just a one-time lapse on their part, but I cant imagine the circumstances that would bring me back to Wan Lung.

I had the worst customer service experience ever at this restaurant. I have taken my family here several times because you get a lot of food for a good price. I always order the same thing the same way. When the waitress brought me our food she brought us an extra order. When I told her that I didn’t order that, the waitress told me i was wrong and argued with for several minutes in front of the entire restaurant filled with people. It was so embarrassing and rude. Then she proceeded to tell me that I needed to learn how to read the menu and literally threw my debit card across the counter. She refused to remove the extra charge from my order which cost more than both of the other orders I actually placed. The worst part of the whole situation was I would have been willing to pay for the extra order and take it home anyways if she had not been so rude. I am a great tipper i generally leave a $9 tip on a $23 order from this place because I truly believe in appreciating people in the service industry. After the way I was treated not only did i refused to pay for the extra food but I did not leave her a tip nor will I ever return. Also I will make sure I tell my entire family and friends who9 eat there as well.

Pros: The food is probably the best Chinese food in Clackamas and is completely worth the price. Their egg drop soup actually tastes like its supposed to, and the Mongolian beef is to die for! Their free tea is what I also very much enjoy every time i visit Wan Lung. The waitresses are kind, and I have noticed that lately they are actually now in uniforms! The cooks are seen while they cook, which I think is what makes this restaurant unique. Cons: It gets cold in the winter inside their restaurant (especially by the windows), so maybe they could get a better heater installed. Also, the layout of the tables and lack of any decoration makes the restaurant kind of dull. I notice more take outs are ordered rather than people coming to eat at the restaurant. I wish they could remodel a bit for the customers as it would definitely increase the number of people that will be coming to eat at tables. I see great potential for this restaurant, its cooks are very professional, their waitresses wont disturb you every 5 minutes, and the food comes fast! The cons are easy fixes that I hope the restaurant will take notice to soon.

Last night was my first time at Wan Lung for take out. Note it was almost closing time when i arrived so the food was a bit overdone as expected. Over all though the staff was verry accomodating to my order of a #3 sans the fried prawns subed for bbq pork which they were of course out of again please note they were near closing. However i was hooked up for $10 i got more than i could eat! And the chicken, chowmain (litely burnt oil due to the lateness of my arrival), remarkable fried rice, and hot and sour soup was delectable!!!! I will next time try to be there much sooner. But its still wonderful food!!!!

Normally we go here to get asian cuisine, its quick and simple, and the staff WAS nice. Today, however, my partner went to that store to get food, an ocean delight with cho mein, apparently that was too much to ask for as the restaurant worker proceeded to be rude. Maybe its customary to be rude and have no customer service, but now we dont ever want to return to this restaurant. It used to be our to go place for its great food and service both in and out of the place, now, we must look elsewhere to fulfill our food needs. Guess its not a loss to lose customers.

Our law office is in the neighborhood. We have been regulars for over twenyty years. Their hot sour soup is the best I have ever had. The General Tso chicken is a marvel of subtle flavors , masterfully blended. The Shrimp in lobster sauce is divine. All ingredients are impeccably fresh and high quality. The lunch portions are gigantic. It comes with steamed or fried rice, spring roll or barbecued pork (go for the pork moist and delicious) and a bowl of their terrific soup for $7.00 - $8. Tea is yummy and included. Oh, and their staff are sweet and helpful.

One word: WOW! Came in here in the afternoon, feeling a little hungry, ordered a dinner combination ($12.95) and had to ask the waitress if they were really 5 different things I was about to eat for that price (5?? I was expecting to pick one or 2). Came out with soup and 2 HUGE plates of food. Tell me where else you can find so much food for such an affordable price--literally could probably feed a couple and a kid. Food was great as well and tasted and felt very authentic.

They wont substitute ANYTHING. I wanted fried rice instead of white with the meal and they brought me a $7 side of it then when I brought it to their attention they said no subbing anything. I offered to pay extra to sub it in but no go. They wouldnt sub another meat for the shrimp either. No refills on soda, rude and argumentative and the chicken tasted horrible. First time trying this place because its closer to home but I will forever continue going to Kwang Chow on king Rd.

The first time the food was ok. The second time I asked for no vegetables with the chicken and they didnt tell me but charged me $2 more for NO VEGITABLES! They didn’t say anything. The other meal looked like dog food, and wasn’t fully cooked. When we brought the issues up to the manager she said we lied and were told about the charge and that they don’t offer any credits even if they make a mistake. If you want so so food and horrible service then this is your place.
