First, dining choices are limited in Silver Creek: this restaurant and the Texaco convenience store across the highway. However, I was very impressed with this restaurant. It would be considered a nice place to dine in any locale. We ate here while staying at the 1000 Trails Paradise resort. We walked, for the exercise. Its a 3.5 mile round trip, with some significant hill-climbing. The place is surprisingly large, plus having a large banquet room. The food is typical of an American Chinese restaurant, with large quantities (we hiked back to the resort with leftover boxes) and a surprisingly extensive menu. Prices are very reasonable. They offer around 20 different "lunch specials", prices around $7. I dont recall any menu items that exceeded $20 per person on the dinner menu. Our meals were very tasty -- to the extent that I asked the cashier to compliment the kitchen staff. I ordered the Broccoli Beef and my wife ordered a curry dish. We split an order of BBQ Pork. Though tasty, I thought that the BBQ flavoring was very mild. I recall seeing 4 types of beer on a placard, including the Tsingtao that I ordered. "Lunch" is 11-3. The restaurant is open 11-9, 7 days/week. We entered at 2 p.m. on a Sunday. It was pretty quiet, with around a half-dozen tables occupied. Our check was delivered by our server, but it became apparent that we were expected to pay the cashier on our departure. The exterior is unremarkable, but the interior is very attractive, with a Chinese theme, including large dragon masks. The place is well-appointed, well-organized, and attractive. I couldnt see into the kitchen, but the restrooms were clean and in good repair. The restaurant appears to be staffed by a multi-generational Asian family, who live in the former Mayfield Motel, immediately adjacent to the restaurant (IOW, the motel is no longer available to the public). Well probably dine here again, during our week-long stay at the resort, even though we brought a lot of food with us.

The food was decent, but on the low end of similarly-priced Chinese restaurants, and served lukewarm. The staff seemed absolutely disinterested in us and very put out when asked for anything. They are located within minutes of the campground we are members of, but we wont be visiting again.

Frozen chinese is better than this. Ordered take out. How can a Chinese restaurant mess up sweet and sour, right?....trust me, they do. The sauce tasted like cheap ketchup with sugar mixed in. Prices are kind of high for the quality, or lack thereof.

Wow- we where impressed. With the quality and quantity of food that you are served, if you walk out hungry it is not for lack of food here. My husband and I are from Iowa, I am Chinese and I was impressed. Service was great .

Been going here for years. Family run business that takes care of new and old customers. Decor is impressive and more so the food. Try their beef dishes and fried rices. Wont be disappointed. Great sweat and sour to boot.

Inexpensive. Generous portions. Its owner-operated so plan on Chinese food with the owners take on the dish. If you want Panda Express youll have to drive a while.
