I love McMenamins, their happy hour is great and their Ruby is absolutely delicious. BUT, this particular McMenamins is AWFUL. Me and my boyfriend stopped in the other night an hour before closing and had to stand waiting at the door, since the wait to be seated sign was out. After being left to stand there for about five minutes while the two employees (an older man and a woman) messed about behind the bar and ignored us, we finally went and sat ourselves at the bar. They were literally less then a foot away at times and didnt say a WORD. Not even hello. It was unbelievable, Ive never had such bad service in my life. After sitting and being ignored for a few more minutes, we just left and went to McCools, down the street, instead. As usual, we got excellent service there. Also, I agree with the previous reviewer, the Ruby at this location usually taste like its watered down or something. Over all, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, either a different Mcmenamins or McCools. Gosh, even Sharis has better service.

I enjoy the patio/sidewalk at McMenamins Sunnyside on a hot/sunny day. The seats are actually in the shade and I can go there with my pup to get a pint and enjoy happy hour. There is table service on the patio. The service is pretty speedy and I can always find a table. This McMenamins is in a strip mall, but I enjoy coming here. It is convenient and dependable.

Honorable service, the waitress practically threw the menu at me and ignored us the entire time, acted like she could not be bothered. Sent the bar tender (who was excellent) to take are food order. When it came time to pay she didnt want to make eye contact and walked off. We were very polite to her but she was just RUDE. I will not be going back.

Went after a long day of flying to meet a couple of friends from the area. I ordered the gyro and my fiancé ordered the turkey sandwich with a delicious cauliflower soup. Our waiter gave great beer recommendations. Great service and good food at a good price. Would eat there again if in the area.

This place.. redundantly lowers my expectations its small but the service is terrible not welcoming.. maybe its the workers demeanor but it has a corporate low interest feel but I dont want to be rushed either way its still a bar I guess but its funny how it doesnt change even after six months

Its a McMenamins pub. If youve been to one, you know what to expect. If you havent been here... They have good beer and pretty decent pub food for reasonable prices. The service will be competent and friendly but a little slow. Burgers are good, but my favorite thing here is the Portland Dip.

The Happy Hour Menu truly made me Happy! The Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese was delicious, and the Jam Sessions ISA was a refreshing reminder about how truly flavorful a good beer can be after a long day at work! Thanks guys...and gals...you earned all 5 of THESE STARS!

Terrible service. Small, cramped room. Apparently there are different bar rules here....they hold bar seating like they would a normal table. We had sat down at an empty bar at were asked to leave because someone else had requested bar seating..... seams odd.

Cozy, it may not be the coolest of the McMenamins locations, but it still has the quality of service and food. This place can get busy around lunch, but usually dies down by happy hour. Would recommend coming here based only on the famous Cajun tots.

Ive been to this location a few times and always enjoy myself. I often order take out when im at work and they are always fast to prepare the food. The gyro they have is always a go to for me. I wish all the other locations still carried it.

I think I found the next candidate for Bar Rescue. Quite possibly the worst fish and chips Ive ever eaten. Dont sit at the bar where you can see the cook...youll never eat here again! Beer was good but I think it was from somewhere else.

Been going here for years with family and friends. I love McMenamins in general and I dig having one so close to me. I can always count on a good cup of Tippy South Cloud tea, and a burger. Staff is always nice and the atmosphere is cozy.

My favorite beer and salad lives here. Smaller space, so plan for wait times during busy hours. Some long term employees, always nice to see familiar faces. Very accommodating for dietary restrictions. Overall a great place for pub grub.

I wasnt expecting much with a McMenamins ina strip mall, but the food was good and the service was great. Just remember its small, so you dont get the full menu that you find at a larger McMenamins. I.e. no sweet potato fries.

Excellent food and beer! I had the hard cider which was delicious and crisp. This is not a very big location and is quite popular being near the hospital. Be prepared to wait for a seat, even at the bar, during lunch time.

Awesome food. Great beer selection. Very friendly staff willing to answer questions and chat. Food was a tiny bit pricey, but still very good. Great place for a casual date or to just relax while staying at the hotel.
