The hedge house is a cool little spot to have lunch and a beer or six. Ive only ever visited in the summer, when the weather is good and guests can hang out on the front lawn of this old portland bungalow-turned-pub, but I could see the year round appeal of this cozy inner division destination. The seating inside is very limited, but there is a big covered and heated deck in the back that would be fun to listen to the rain pound down on in the winter. The food is pretty solid, and the beers are standard Lompoc offerings. This place shines most for the charm of the building and property, as well as the location. Big pluses are the off-street bike parking, and dog-friendliness of the front yard and outdoor seating.

Its a Lompoc joint, so you know the beer is good. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, including a very tasty version of a Philly Cheesesteak, and a kids menu, too. Really a perfect place to stop and enjoy a brew on a sunny day, when you can enjoy the patio or even sit on the front lawn! Limited seating inside, but they do have a tarped-off section of the patio with heat lamps.

Hedge House is one of my favorite Lompocs. Great beer, awesome food and very friendly staff! I recommend the PABST (sandwhich) w/ chili bowl and an LSD to wash it down. Good happy hour menu, too. This location is an old converted house on SE Division and has a lot of character to go with a nice, wide porch and big patio (half covered) thats perfect for most days.

Showed up for trivia tonight for my gfs birthday, but apparently there was no trivia. Theres supposed to be trivia every Thursday, and I even called to make sure. "Oh yeah its on." Found out via Twitter (which I dont use) upon arrival from other folks waiting, Gavin had cancelled trivia three days prior. Inform your stoner staff, or update your website. #goonz

Not a bad place to grab a beer with casual outdoor seating. Dont go for the food. It wasnt terrible, but underwhelming compared to what you can get in most Portland brewpubs. My pulled pork sandwich and my wifes veggie burger were ok, but the kids cheese pizza looked like a $1 frozen pizza and came with browning apples.

Reasonably priced nicely done fresh made foods and good beer and welcoming outdoor patio side make this Division Street eatery a go to lunch or dinner spot. Take friends.
