Fantastic mexican food, prices, service and location. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful , ensuring we could watch the stunning sunset and giving us a whole dish for free extra because the waiter had made a slight mistake on the order. The food was fantastic, great prices nothing was too much trouble and all even more striking as we arrived close to closing. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Not much good to say about my experience here, the tables are too close together causing patrons to bump into each other. The food portions are on the smaller side. The service was lacking, did not get my order correct. At the end of the meal felt rushed, before I was finished eating the waiter had already left the check at the table. I was going to order desert, oh well.

Place has GREAT food. There spicy Hot prawns are a family recipe a worth every spicy bite . My husband had the Chili Rellenos and a spicy pork taco he loved it. We went about 4:20 pm on Monday and it was not busy . There are closed on Monday. We have been going back to La Playa for the last 9 years and will keep coming back for the AWSOME food. !!!! :)

This place is number one for me I dont have to deal with rude local outfits that look at you crazy when you walk in the door these people have always been welcoming and there food is great....anything you order is guaranteed delicious. ...I highly recommend once you go here you will always come back...

Sure it may have been a old fast food building, but the tacos we had were awesome. Got them "Mexican style"and they had some heat! Located right next to some beach trails. Outside dining is for take out orders only, not sure you could bring a beer out there, so we are in the sun room.

Wow: the "Gone Fishing" was fantastic and the "Steak and Shrimp" was superb. Waiter offered Carne Asada tacos for my 11yr old son which was awesome. Cocktails were great $6.99 house margarita (make it a double, its huge). $1.25 canned soda pop (no refills). Were very happy.

Considering where we are here on the coast- the prices are not to bad, the portions are fabulous... and the people are so so nice... the location is new for the owners... it is gorgeously decorated and ocean view is great to... Love that Adobado.....

All of the food was excellent, and the service was fantastic! It has a friendly, fin atmosphere. We were given more food than we ordered with no extra charge. All of the flavors exceeded expectations. We cant wait to come back!

Definitely going again. Awesome food! Very authentic. I am Mexican so I am always anxious when I go to Mexican place havent been before. At LA Playa no problem. Service is good & has bar w/excellent imported beer & Tequila.

I ordered a chicken burrito crybaby style and it was good buut really hot and spicy, first bite had me pretty much say Damm. Crybaby is definitely for people who are use to spicy food and want a spicier than usual option.
