Anyone who hasnt been here lately, you owe it to your self to go, the best chicken strips I have ever had at a bar, ever......light breading, juicy, fresh, hand-breaded--where does that happen at a bar!!?? and the the price is ridiculous...they practically give them away. Fries are fresh/frozen but still very good, better than most and the barbecue...the brisket is fabulous. I am from Texas, so trust me I know brisket...it is a step ahead of Bill Millers, and that is saying something! (last statement only makes sense if you are from Texas); the pork barbecue slider are amazing...Rose (?) the manager really works hard to ensure everyone is well taken care of...like if McMenamins is a 5, this is definitely a 8+ service-wise, so surprised by the negative comments on service? And they are Timbers Friendly...rare for a sports bar in the burbs--which is a huge plus...great bar all the way around, cant ask for much more and they have 2-3 pool tables and awesome specials. Look, I eat a lot of brewery/bar food...this ranks up in the top 10%...for a burb bar, it is as good as it comes. I moved here to the SW (Vista Hills) from downtown Portland, so always on the hunt for good bars...go to Coaches Bar, then come here...you will think you died and went to heaven by comparison. Its too bad this place has the bartenders/waitresses it has because it really does have good food. However the SERVICE IS HORRID, unless you sit in the bar area directly infront of the person serving, it may be different late at night but I come in to do homework and enjoy a beer and meal. Last time I came in (1st time here) I sat down and setup my laptop and the table was sticky as all hell, when I asked the bartender for a cloth to wipe it up it was like I insulted her or she didnt have time to even listen to my concern, I talked to the manager which bought me a beer and thats why I gave this place a 2nd chance, however when I came in today, not once was I waited on, I had to walk to the bar everytime I wanted another drink or to order food..... Like I said HORRIBLE SERVICE, which I dont understand if youre working for tips!!! Needless to say I will not be back and will be researching another place with good food and SERVICE to boot!

In the last year there have been some major changes as the Pit has acquired new management, a new menu, and new Events. As with all things change takes time to perfect. The new manager Josh has created a GREAT atmosphere. There is always something to do at the pit, deals and happy hour perks change daily to offer something new for even the oldest of patrons. Drinks are poured strong, people are friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and excepting. Food has gone through some changes and now has great sides and great options. Kitchen staff works hard to ensure that the food they serve is excellent. The bartenders are fun-loving and friendly, the service staff hustle and serve with a smile, the karaoke DJ is friendly and respectful, and the singing is fun and current. All in all one of the best bars Ive been too. Great Job, Pit!

I ordered a $10 fish and chips to go, got home and... wow, my fish left much to be desired. I received in my box of food- One piece of egg bread, two slices of lemon, some fries and two pieces of fish literally smaller than the lemon wedges! I called them when I got home and tried to talk to the kitchen staff. Unfortunately they did not speak English so I talked to a waitress who indicated that I was certainly welcome to come back for more fish. Yes, I got my order to go because I wanted to get home and return to the restaurant later for my food. How about you just give me my $10 + $3 tip back for the food I did not get??

The Pit Stop deserves a great load of recognition. Not only do they serve great food and make great drinks, but theit service is absolutely phenomenal. All of the employees put in a tremendous amount of work and really know how to please the customers. Every experience has been great and it looks like all of the customers have a great time when theyre present. Great place to bring the kids too! Its a great place to go to and I would recommend this place to go to if youre looking for a good sports bar to go to. Many televisions to watch all of the games on, as well as all of the games to play too! Good Job Pit Stop!!

This place is great. My fiancee hosts trivia there on Wednesday nights so we are there a lot. The food is awesome and all the staff is so nice. The pool tables are really high quality, which is cool to see. The prices are good esspecially considering that the food is so fantastic. The events are always fun. Im biased towards the trivia night being the best since the host is so awesome ;) but weve been to karaoke night and that was really fun too. They have a lot of events all the time that look really enjoyable. Good place, check it out.

Ive never been inside and didnt care about this place until they started slamming bass during some daytime event in late August, 2013. We live up the hill and it prevented us from sleeping late that morning. It originally sounded like some delinquents sitting around in a boom car. If such an event is held again, they need to contain the sound and be respectful of local neighborhoods. This is a wider cultural problem, too. Hordes of disrespectful people exist in America.

Still my favorite dive bar in the area. Especially for brunch. Folks are friendly, and theres plenty of room. Ive never been here in the evening, but it looks like theyve got a bunch of good stuff going on. BBQ is good, as well. Plenty of TVs to watch whatever games happen to be in season. Food service can get a little slow when theyre busy, but its not because of lazy servers. They work hard, but sometimes get behind. Great place to relax with a beer and good food.

The wait staff and management have gone through transitions like any bar/restaurant establishment with turnover, but the longtime bartenders have always been spectacularly attentive. As a three year patron, Id be hard pressed to think of a better Friday or Saturday night spot. The karaoke is the best in the area, the food really hits the spot (especially if youre craving BBQ), and the drinks and happy hour items are very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

The treatment I received here from the bartender and manager was terrible. As a black male, I felt incredibly discriminated against. I was nothing but respectful and articulate in my complaint of poor service and I was treated like some angry black man that shouldnt be in their bar. That was after the poor service or lack of from the bartender Nancy. I wouldnt recommend any person come to this bar especially a person of color.

We have been going here for years. Big change in the last year, not for the better. The ribs were very fatty and over sauced. I ordered a a steak medium it came well done the fries were very greasy and the salad was weeds. My Nojito had black slimy spoiled mint in it. Waitress was a joke too busy flirting with bar patrons to be bothered with the customers seated in the restaurant. Youve lost our business for good.
